My wife and I became certified while visiting the Keys. Captain Hooks staff were professional and Informative. We had an amazing instructor, Leigh Anne Carter. We cant say enough about her ability to break things down and explain. My wife and I are both lifelong teachers and Leigh Anne is a natural. From the moment we stepped into Captain Hook’s, we knew we were in good hands. David H took three nervous beginners and turned us into confident divers. Between mastering our full-face masks and earning our Open Water certification, he kept us laughing, learning, and focused. His advice on diving gear was spot-on—no upselling, just honest insight. Captain Hook’s doesn’t feel like a dive center; it feels like joining a family.

Everyone at Captain Hook’s was wonderful and I had such an amazing experience scuba diving thanks to this crew. Captain Ron was FANTASTIC and so was my dive instructor Jared. These guys are AWESOME!!! Did the Vandenberg, the Cayman and a reef dive with Capt. Hooks. They do everything right! Had a slight mishap at the Vandy (my fault 100% - I screwed up) on dive 1 and Bill, our DiveMaster handled it with calm, professionalism and concern for safety. When we got back on the boat, he offered encouragement, constructive advice and made sure I didn’t let my stupidity impact my love for the sport. Dive 2 was PERFECT and a freaking blast!! Cayman was awesome also! Saw some MASSIVE groupers, a couple big ugly eels, a couple sharks, barracuda, shrimp, lobster - all capped off by some dolphins and a hammerhead shark joining us on the ride back to the docks! 🦈🦞🦐🐠🐡🐟🐬 Can’t wait to come back! No one does it like Captain Hooks Key West!! 🤿🛥️

Just went on an amazing trip to Australia, dove the Yolonga, Coral Sea and the GBR thru Captain Capt. Hook's Dive Key West travel program. Everything was well choreographed by our very enthusiastic dive instructor, Max Ebel and Mike Ball Dive Expeditions was a superb dive outfit. We went to places seldom seen, did some challenging wreck dives and some relaxed reef dives. Enjoyed the group and getting to know divers from around the country (and some from across the street at home!) We also joined the pre-trip Eco-Tour of Dainbridge Rainforest, the Waterfall Route and Cape Trib. Congratulations to Capt. Hook's Marina & Dive Center on their travel program (this was my second trip and my husband's 3rd trip with them). Cannot recommend highly enough!!

We had a great time snorkeling! The Captain loves his job and is passionate about preserving the coral reefs and sea life. The crew was so helpful and concerned for our safety. Can’t wait to go again next year!!

We had the opportunity to dive at all three of their locations: Big Pine Key, Marathon, and Key West, and each one offered a unique and memorable experience that surpassed our expectations. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Captain Hook’s is dedicated to providing top-tier service. Frank and Brooke were fantastic in the Big Pine Key shop, guiding us through the booking process and making sure every detail was handled smoothly. They were welcoming, efficient, and really helped us feel at ease, making the whole trip hassle-free from start to finish. On the boats, we were absolutely blown away by the professionalism and talent of the entire crew. Captain Will and Captain Ron truly made our time on the water exceptional. Both brought a perfect balance of professionalism, expertise, and a fantastic sense of humor. They took such great care of us, ensuring that everything from safety to comfort was meticulously managed. You could tell they had years of experience and a genuine love for the water, which made us feel completely safe and well-looked after. A special shout-out to Max, who was the highlight of our Key West dive experience. Max’s knowledge of the iconic Vandenberg wreck was truly impressive, and he made our dive feel like an unforgettable journey. His passion for the site, along with his deep understanding of its history and marine life, brought the dive to life in a way we didn’t expect. Max’s warm and personal approach made us feel incredibly comfortable underwater, and we all appreciated his attention to detail in guiding us through the site. His dedication to providing a safe and enjoyable experience was evident throughout the dive, and we felt both informed and well-cared-for at all times. The diving itself was fantastic, but what made it even better was the leadership of Bill and John, our Divemasters in Big Pine Key. John gave us a phenomenal guided trip at two locations on Looe Key. Bill’s expertise and ability to make safety a priority without sacrificing fun or enthusiasm made him stand out. His “Blue Star” speech on preserving the National Marine Sanctuary was one of the most engaging and memorable parts of our trip. Bill’s humor, paired with his deep commitment to ocean conservation, set a perfect tone for the dives and really helped us appreciate the importance of protecting these beautiful ecosystems. All in all, our week with Captain Hook’s Dive Shop was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of expert guidance, friendly service, and attention to detail made our trip to the Keys one of the best dive experiences we’ve ever had. Whether you’re a seasoned diver or a beginner, Captain Hook’s has everything you need to make your dive experience exceptional. We can’t wait to return!

We went snorkeling with them yesterday. It was so much fun. The staff was friendly, helpful and funny. They took us to 2 great places on the reef. Next time I will definitely scuba dive!

I just got done with two days of diving with Captain Hook's. Day 1 was with their Key West operation, diving the USS vandeberg wreck. Day 2 was with their Big Pine Key operation, diving Looe Key Reef. Both days they provided top notch service. The boat Captains were Evan and Ron, and the staff was Steve, Henry, Lisa, Lynne, and Joey. Each and every one of them was outstanding!!! Max at the key west shop was super helpful and accommodating. I was very impressed with how each of them strived to provide the utmost professional service, and I highly recommend diving with them!!!
