Be careful what you buy at VBS--if they choose to stop carrying the product, you will be left hanging, freezing in the winter cold. VBS sold me two wonderful gas stoves--Thelin Gnome gas stoves for two different homes. Mark, the owner of VBS serviced these and my Renai and Toro stoves through the years. When the company was sold, new owners kept the name, VBS, but will not service the stoves they no longer choose to sell. While the technician is clearly capable, and gives indication he would be willing to help us out, he needs his bosses support and they say "no." Clearly they are concerned with legal issues or some other financial fear for their young business. But we need to help each other out here in little Homer. At least it used to be that way. Check out other stove and heater stores in the area that will help you out when the temperatures reach the low twenties and below as they were this week when I asked for help. They said no, even though we spend significantly each season for maintenance on our rental units. I will look for new service for my heaters. Sorry Mark, you may have begrudgingly serviced my products after discontinuing selling them, you stood by your name and reputation. Unfortunately, the new owners do not.
