Wes at the Adelaide office was really kind and helpful, I was a bit emotional when I dropped my phone off as I was so scared I wouldn’t be able to get my data back as I had dropped my phone at the beach over Christmas. Went there with little hope of any recovery from an accidentally deleted media card however they did the best they could and after a couple of attempts managed to salvage at least some sort of results. Much better than I expected and great communication from Scott who explained everything thoroughly. Although the costs can be high, if its something that is important to you I would definitely recommend these guys as you will be in safe hands.

Returning client. I’ve always used PAYAM services whenever my family needs an emergency data recovery and their team are very prompt and professional. I knew each step of the recovery process what was required for the best chances of success by their lab team, received regular communication on the progress of my job ticket and immediate contact once the HDD data recovery was completed. Following that I was offered the chance to test the recovery myself and as extra precaution they kept a copy of the recovered data for 7 days following the job being completed. I will happily use PAYAM again if the worst-case scenario happens again.

They've saved my butt! My laptop suddenly died on me and turns out my files have not updated to my cloud services. I was recommended to Payam by AppleCare to recover my files, and AppleCare quoted to repair my laptop after files were recovered for $1500. Low and behold when they returned my laptop (with a backup of all my files on a hard drive) my laptop was working again! I was not charged anything extra, but Payam were able to fix my laptop with all files intact and a backup copy. So whether it was a small fix or a larger part replacement, I can not recommend Payam enough.

Apple said the SSD was fried and recommended me to Payam (15% discount for Apple customers). The whole process was really smooth and faster than expected (Payam guided to ~5 weeks for economy service, but got it done in ~2 weeks) and pretty much got everything back. Best thing ever. The guys were so lovely. I was initially a bit disappointed with the lack of communication as I dropped my phone motherboard off to get recovered and I didn't hear anything for a few weeks. I called up and they told me they were busy fixing it, trying different things and ordering parts to keep the cost as low as possible. They were able to fully recover all the data and do so at the minimum cost. I was able to view all the files using Team Viewer to verify the data was successfully recovered before having to pay for it. They sent it back to their office in Melbourne (as I'm located in Melbourne and the lab is Sydney) and I could pick it up at no cost. The technicians were awesome in explaining exactly what went wrong (which as I suspected was a component on the motherboard itself that was faulty and could be repaired without doing a chip transplant) and made me feel confident to bring in a couple of old hard drives that I have had no luck recovering myself. Highly recommend this team and I'll be coming back with hard drive- which the team assured me includes a free assessment before doing anything!

I just want to write a massive THANK YOU to Payam Data Recovery and specifically Awn from the accounts department for helping me so much. My 5 year old hard drive that contained a bunch of my personal photos and filed completely failed and died randomly, and I was referred to Payam by my local IT guys. I was horrified to find out that the last year or so of files wasn't backing up and that I had actually lost many photos including irreplaceable photos of my daughter and family. From the very first phone call, Payam were quick, efficient and explained the process to me thoroughly. They were honest and explained to me about the nature of this work and how it is difficult to guarantee. Within a week I had my hard drive packed and sent to them (they even referred me to my local Pack and Send for safe shipment) and they had quickly assessed the work for me. They were very transparent and honest about costs, and they were also very honest that the recovery work may or may not be successful. I received CONSTANT updates - through email and text. And the updates were DETAILED. Every step of the process they were up to, I received updates. Within a few short weeks they were able to amazingly recover over 70,000 photos and files, only 40 files were damaged beyond repair. Awn from their accounts department was incredible to work with. I was not expecting my hard drive to fail, and I understand the costs involved, but I couldn't afford this cost upfront. And Awn explained options to me, including a 6 and 12 month payment plan, which saved me and my personal photos and files! My hard drive with all my important personal photos and videos just didn't boot up one day when I plugged it in, so I took it to a small computer shop a friend said did data recovery quite cheap, I thought if they had no luck I'd go to one of the bigger places. BAD IDEA! The first place couldn't recover anything and said most likely all my data was lost and as a last resort I could try Payam Data Recovery as they were the best. When I took it to Payam and saw Paolo, it turned out the first place I'd tried had actually damaged my drive further! I was devastated, expecting there was no chance of recovery. My experience with Payam was satisfactory. When I went to them, I had the pleasure to talk to Kane who is an excellent professional engineer. I explained him the problem, he took my portable drive and assessed it. I explained Kane that I had really important files from university that I had partially backed up in the past. I also explained him that I had valuable photos/memories that unfortunately I never backed up and that these photos have a significant emotional value to me. Kane had the capacity of understanding my concern from two different points of view, technical and emotional. I found this such a unique skill/quality that I think all professionals should have in every industry/field. When Kane contacted me to provide me quote, I had doubts about whether or not to proceed with the data recovery since the cost involved was much more than I expected (1K+) and way out of my budget. So, I decided to go back to talk to him in person. I explained him that I’m a student and that the cost was something that I couldn’t afford to pay but I really wanted to recover those precious memories. Kane explained me that I could pay the amount in a 6- or 12-month plan. That was great news. At the end I managed to pay all the amount at once but it was good to know that if I wanted, I could have gone for the 12-month plan. At the end, I recovered all my data. I could see again all those photos/memories that no money could replace them. When I went to pick up my new drive with all my data I sat and talk to Kane about the whole process and asked him about ways to secure my data and prevent future losses. He was kind to sit with me and explain me different was to backup data and prevent future events like this. He explained me that recovering my data is a successful outcome and that he felt satisfied about it. He also mentioned that as part of the process it is his professional responsibility to explain me how to take care of my data and prevent future losses. I found this particular situation the best example of professional ethics. The entire process was not just a transaction. I personally felt that it was a relationship in which I felt that both my technical and emotional concerns were taken into account. I’m glad I decided to go to Payam and I’m happy that Kane was the person that managed the most of the processes. He used very interesting and useful analogies to explain technicalities that people who are not in the IT field would find difficult to understand. Again, I found this such a unique professional quality/attribute of Kane. If you are reading this is because your drive/computer is not working anymore and your data is “gone”. Well, I have shared my experienced and I really hope this helps you to decide to go to Payam for your data recovery. If I could give a recommendation to Payam, I would say that they should consider giving discounts to students. The cost involved in data recovery is quite expensive and not everyone can afford it. I did mention this to Kane and he took this feedback as something that is worth providing/escalating to his supervisor/boss.
