It’s raining really hard right now, and I haven’t a worry in the world—well, at least no worries about my new roof by M&M Roofing. Joe gave me a free written estimate with a full explanation of what would be done, the cost for the work, and what the warranty covered. Joe scheduled the work when it was convenient for me, and his crew arrived on time. They completed the job in one day, as promised, and I didn’t have to pay a dime until the work was complete.
M&M’s crew did a great job. They took off the old composition shingles and tar paper, replaced any roof decking plywood that needed to be replaced, and put down new tar paper and new shingles nice and smooth and flat. They were very careful to protect all my potted plants and landscaping when they removed the old shingles. When they were finished, they cleaned up so well that my yard and patio looked better than before they started.
I also needed some work done to address a water intrusion that had warped some of the sheathing under the siding on one side of my house. They did a great job with that and matched the paint so well that you can’t even tell where the siding had been cut. Again, the siding on that side of my house is now smoother, flatter, neater, and looks better than when we bought our house new about 20 years ago. Lastly, they reattached firmly gutters where Hurricane Beryl’s wind had separated the gutters from the fascia. A week after the job was completed, the owner of the company personally called to make sure I was satisfied with the work.
A defective roof installation that allows rainwater intrusion can cause a lot of expensive problems, so it’s really important to have a new roof put on by a crew that knows what they’re doing. So even though I could’ve gotten this work done more cheaply by some other company (I had a lower bid), I went with M&M because Joe and his team gave me confidence that the job would be done right and that M&M would stand behind their work. They are pros! When it comes to the roof over our heads, which protects my family’s most valuable asset, that confidence was worth paying a little more.
