Penman Electrics were professional, knowledgeable, polite and punctual. I needed an upgrade on my switchboard and a fuse changed at the point of attachment. Neil was extremely patient with all my questions and took extra time to explain the process. He also helped me out by making a new switchboard panel which then made it possible to fit everything into the old space. I would highly recommend Neil and his team. His prices are very reasonable and the office staff were efficient and friendly.

Although it has been quite some time since we’ve needed an electrician Penman Electrics has always been our go to for any electrical repairs etc. We have just had some appliances removed and new ones installed plus electrical upgrade work done. Neil went out of his way to get us the most cost effective quote and we cannot speak highly enough of his staff. All my phone calls were answered with friendly politeness by the office staff who were always helpful. The guys who did the work were prompt, polite, unobtrusive and cleaned up after themselves. Shoes were taken off at the door even though I insisted it wasn’t necessary. After the appliances were installed, the young apprentice took the time to show me how to use them since I was going from gas to electric and was unfamiliar with them. If you need no fuss, quality electrical work done you can’t go past this friendly family run company.

Have dealt with Penman Electrical before and have been more than happy with the work done before. The work this time was to do the replacement/installation of lights, switches, power points, installation of smoke detectors, fans, outside security lights & sensors. The service was excellent from the Person who came and did the initial quote, to the electricians who did the installation, and the prompt and polite response on the phone from office staff. They explained the work at every step, and also cleaned up after they were finished. Was really looking forward to get some service out of them, but the woman who answered the phone was very rude and unprofessional. I was simply yelled over the phone asking me to go somewhere else because that's not how they do the job. It would be best if this was said in a polite manner to a customer rather than yelling over the phone. Reached out to another service provider who is a qualified licensed electrician. He very well understood the situation and I was provided with few reasonable options and was never yelled or talk back rudely over the phone. Just because you have sent someone else's review doesn't mean it invalidate my review based on what I have experienced. If your staff member's response wasn't rude then this comment wouldn't have been made. Other electrician that have communicated with also do their installations in accordance to Australian standards. But he was polite enough to explain the best way it should be done by giving several options rather than yelling and asking to go somewhere else like the way your employee has responded. Feel completely scammed Paid nearly $600 (Penman tried to charge me for a tradesperson and apprentice but only one person attended) the guy that attended could not find the problem. He said they would come back and quote to replace the cable to the seven lights that were not working never heard from them again waited weeks. Engaged another electrician he came out and identified the fault within an hour and all lights are now working.

Workers have done an excellent job. Product used is excellent, placement of switches was discussed and all are as discussed, wire and cables are mostly unseen, and well secured. We have been using Penman Electrics for some thirty years or so, never had a problem with staff onsite, a phone call to Penmans is enough to get our projects underway, office staff are knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. .10/10.

I first became aware of Penman Electrics when they subcontracted for part of a bathroom makeover a couple of years ago Since then they have performed various installations for me on two occasions. In all instances their work was efficiently and quickly carried out. The electricians were courteous ,always on time and the after job cleanup fully completed.
