On Saturday afternoon, I noticed what looked like the beginning of a water leak in my bedroom ceiling. However, when I got up to inspect it, my finger went right through the drywall and yellow jackets started pouring out. Thank goodness Troy was willing to come out on a Sunday to deal with this so we could get the use of our bedroom back. (My husband is highly allergic so having them inside the house was a health hazard.) Troy was punctual, explained what would happen and dealt with the little beasts very swiftly even though he said it was the largest nest he'd seen in his 35 years in the business. His price was reasonable. He refused to charge us extra for coming on a Sunday and for dealing with what turned out to be a huge nest. I've used Troy in the past for other pest management issues. When I first started to look for an exterminator it was a bit stressful, everyone out there wanted to sign us up for a service agreement for no less then a year when all that I wanted was to remove a yellow jackets nest that was built in-between the brick and metal molding on a second floor window, I honestly thought that I, a 71 year old person was going to have to do this myself until I got real lucky and found Pest Shield. The yellow jackets were going underneath my siding from the outside and then below the floor of the upper bedroom! I called Pest Shield and Troy came out and took his time to make sure that the yellow jackets were taken care of before he left!! He did a great job and I highly recommend the company!

Pavement ants raided our basement this morning and I was desperate for someone to come today! After calling around and being told they recommended a quarterly service before even seeing our problem and couldn't come out until Thursday(!!!) I called pest shield and they came this morning. He explained the problem and found the source. He sprayed the area and around the house and doesn't think we need a service plan. He is also knowledgeable about mosquitoes. Call them!!

We had no idea of the size of the nest that German Yellow Jackets had created in the attic of our garage.  Even Troy was amazed.  We considered waiting a few weeks for cold weather to deal with it.  Troy’s knowledge & experience was evident as he described what could happen in the worst case scenario.  He even said there are times when he advises people to do nothing and let nature run its course. Keeping in mind the disaster that might’ve happened, Troy’s fee was very reasonable. He completed the job in a short period of time.  I would never advise a homeowner to tackle such a problem on his own. We are glad we called him. We are very pleased with the results.
