NextPoint Review (by 3+years user) Overall: NextPoint really helped me to get a foundational understanding of coding, tagging, foldering, and how to interpret the images based on the load file. It's really hands-on, which is a huge plus. I really like the periodic webinar that was can sit and continue to learn. Pros: Very user-friendly. I was completely new to this whole e-discovery just a few years back, and Relativity and Concordance type of old platforms are too complex. And I feel I have come a long way with managing discovery materials. Cons: The step to map out all the various categories, based on the load file, is a bit tedious. Sometimes, I can't find the correct category. When I try to create one, it gives me a message that it's already in use or taken, even though I can't find it in the dropdown. I'm sure it's more to do with me than the software itself, but this is my observation.

I hope never to enter a deposition designation exchange without NextPoint! Overall: Nextpoint has helped make the exchange of deposition designations much simpler and produces an understandable and detailed tracking report. Pros: The software allows a user/administrator to adjust a broad range of settings. Cons: Results are returned in small lists of usually 10 at a time, which leaves a user clicking their mouse more than I'd like.

A True Discovery Solution Overall: I work with this program daily and am in charge of managing and uploading files. The system is great at automating this process for ease of use. With a little bit of preparation, you can organize things extremely well. Pros: We primarily use this product to store and code discovery documents for document review. It is so easy to code documents and redact large amounts of documents in a relatively short time. Cons: It does not support every file type and they are still working on supporting some very useful file types for our firm.

Excellent value Pros: Nextpoint is about 10% of the cost of competing products. I compared my costs versus a co-defendant for the same case and the savings were staggering. Cons: It can be a little difficult to ingest data.

Top software for attorneys Overall: Legal document management and ediscovery turned more simple. Pros: This products integrates smoothly with firm's caseworks, the user interface organizes everything according to its origin, progress and information. There is a huge ammount of features that save time covering reviewing and producing discovery, as well general workload management. The pricing structure and cost relation to value are great. Cons: The legal document management area doesn't include contract management and the ediscovery set of features lacks compliance management.

Love Nextpoint Overall: All in all, using Nextpoint is critical to our e-discovery process and I enjoy using it as well as training others how to use it. The support team is also very helpful. Pros: Search tools make document intensive cases easier to handle. Production templates, especially in cases where ESI protocols need to be used, are efficient and user friendly. Easy to view metadata and spot spoliation issues. Cons: I do not like how the de-duplication feature works. Often times, does not work properly at all, especially with production of documents from opposing parties. The software updates have created more margins for processing errors, do not like that when addressed with Nextpoint, we are charged for system error help (this is a recent development). Bulk features have been glitchy lately as well.

Very Satisfied with Document Processing and Case Preparation Functions Overall: Document review, production, management and preparation for litigation. Pros: The document review and preparation features (doc review, bates numbering, productions, theatre) Cons: It still has a "techy" "wonky" feel - easy enough if you use it regularly enough to get comfortable. But using it less than that, it can difficult to remember where to go to do certain things. It needs a more user friendly interface, buttons, workflows, etc. If you could master that part of it, it would be extremely high powered. But overall, I'm satisfied with the product.

easy to use Overall: It is very easy to use, and much better than the software it replaced for us. Pros: I like the facts that the software is easy to use, responds fast to queries, and cloud-based. Cons: Sometimes I get a lot of false-positive results that have nothing to do with my actual query.
