We stayed at Starved Rock Family CG when camper issues delayed our intended arrival further down south. It was initially just going to be overnight and we'd head out in the morning, but decided to stay for our remaining four days. We'd camped here many, many years ago with the previous owners but unfortunately had not been back after being purchased by the current owners. They have made a lot of improvements and the place looks amazing. Being so early in the season, nothing was up and going yet but our stay was very nice nonetheless. Our site was level and water/electric was good. Every worker we interacted with was friendly, helpful and pleasant. It is now on our list of campgrounds we definitely want to return to!

Stayed the weekend before opening for the season. Had a great time. It was quiet and sites were great size. Stayed right across from the park for the kids and not far from dog park. Was lots of fun to walk through the wooded tent sites too! Very clean camp ground.

They offer full hook ups and plenty of space at the sites. Owners were wonderful during our stay. Highly recommend this campground if you’re in the area!

We stayed here in September 2025. It was our first camping trip away from home. Typically we leave our camper parked at our local recreation club. It was a great change of pace - and the dogs loved the dog park! Can't wait to stay again this fall!

Stay there for the season very friendly host. only concern I have. The road going between sites was a little narrow. We had to share with the walkers and I’m afraid of someone gonna get hit.

Great family campground! The owners and staff were always friendly. They have daily, weekly and monthly site rentals. They also have tent lot rentals. Community pool in the summer time and small walking trails around the campground. They also have a little gift shop built with the front office. Family and pet friendly!

Accommodating and friendly folks. We will be back soon! We made some good friends there and really enjoyed our time even though our time was unexpectedly cut short. Cool kids playground area and even a little hike through the woods. Nice dog park.

Great campground! Winter camping for us but many amenities when the weather breaks. Great owners and staff. Highly Recommend!

I was there off season so the office was closed but nice pad and easy pull through.
