Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Safeguard Roofing – Gross Negligence and Unprofessional Conduct
If you’re looking for a roofing company that will lie to you, mislead you, fail to meet deadlines, and treat you with complete disregard, then Safeguard Roofing is the company for you. My experience with them has been nothing short of appalling, and I am compelled to share this to prevent others from enduring the same.
Unprofessional Conduct by Staff:
Sara, one of the company’s representatives, consistently demonstrated unprofessional behavior—interrupting conversations, hanging up mid-call, delivering incorrect information, and failing to meet basic standards of communication. She also mistakenly sent me confidential emails intended for other customers, further proving her inattention to detail and disregard for privacy.
Permit Rejections and Non-Compliance:
Safeguard Roofing failed to comply with the requirements of my municipality, resulting in six (6) separate rejections of their permit applications to begin work on my property. The permit was denied on the following dates:
• September 11, 2024
• October 8, 2024
• November 7, 2024
• December 30, 2024
• January 7, 2025
• January 9, 2025
These repeated failures indicate either gross incompetence or complete indifference to legal standards and due process.
Inspection Failure and Negligent Workmanship:
The company also failed a municipal inspection—again due to negligence. Despite contractual obligations to protect my driveway, the crew left tar splattered across my walkway and driveway. Their attempt to clean it only made the damage worse.
Other unacceptable issues include:
• Substandard Craftsmanship: Newly installed 2x6 fascia boards were amateurishly cut and poorly patched with caulking.
• Improper Cutting Practices: Roof tiles were cut on the roof itself, leaving white sawdust everywhere and completely ruining the appearance of my brown roof.
• Property Damage: My personal water hose was damaged and left running from Friday to Monday. A decorative rocking chair was also broken by one of their workers during lunch.
• Post-Job Debris: Tarpaper, nails, and debris were scattered across my yard, posing a danger and showing a complete lack of care.
This company is not only unprofessional and poorly managed—it is a liability. They have no respect for the property of their clients, nor do they possess the competence or ethics to operate responsibly.
I strongly advise any prospective customers, governing agencies, and licensing bodies to investigate Safeguard Roofing thoroughly. Based on my experience, their business practices are not only subpar but potentially hazardous.

Amendment from a one ⭐️ to a five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️…
The owner of Safeguard Roofing has personally reached out to me and thoroughly addressed all of my concerns. He has also honored my rudimentary request of an apology, which was extended by two of his employees (Sara and James) that also apologized profoundly.
I am looking forward to having a positive and professional contractual relationship moving forward.
