I've deliberately put off writing this review until 6 months after the completion of my pool renovation as I wanted to be able to assess the ownership experience of the new pool as well as the actual project work. The reason for the renovation is that the 40 year old, 75000 litre, in ground concrete pool was at the end of it's life, and as a result of a number of patch repairs over the years was a nightmare to keep from going green. Before agreeing to the work, I really appreciated Alex's ability to listen to what we wanted from the new pool, his willingness to offer different solutions, and flexibility in making multiple changes to the final design and quote. Alex willingly updated the quote in writing accurately numerous times with new changes, and was always offering to explain how the changes had impacted the estimated cost. I valued the fact that Alex had been the sole contractor that I'd spoken to about the entire project and so he had all of the context, and that he would be on site, every day, on the tools, running the project. The project was estimated to take 9 weeks and it was completed on time. When undertaking a project like this you are committing to having a team of builders on site for a lengthy period, and the core project team working with Alex are a lovely bunch of young men. Little things like a friendly hello, politeness, and pleasantness in all interactions with your family go a long way to making the fact that your home is a construction site a lot less stressful. We had no complaints from the neighbours regarding the project, another hassle I could do without. Throughout the project there were the usual issues and unforeseen challenges that arise, and I really appreciated the fact that Alex was always on site and simply took care of things. Working full time during the project I had enough on my plate, and I liked how I wasn't being required to solve problems in the build, and was being kept informed of them as necessary. Post completion of the project there have been a few minor issues such as the pool gate closing too hard, the chlorinator failing due to a power surge, and water pooling on a tile. In all instances Alex has been very willing to help resolve the issue, even when it turned out to have nothing to do with him such as power surge, and he absolutely stands behind the quality of his work. We've been delighted with the outcome, the final result was exactly as what had been planned. The pool is no longer my maintenance nightmare, and this summer we've used it as a family much more than what we had in years prior. In my dealings with Alex I found him to be trustworthy, dependable, and more than up to the task of delivering a complex project such as a large pool renovation.

Our pool and surrounds are 16 years old and looked it! I called Alex intending to have the travertine tiles replaced but ended up renovating the pool interior and waterline tiles as well. So glad I did. Alex resolved some drainage issues and installed an overflow outlet in the pool. Besides how great the pool looks these fixes make me just as happy! The team worked all day through those hottest October days. Each person knew their role and took pride in doing it well. The team were on time each day and all greeted me. They cleaned up each day and didn't leave their lunch rubbish behind. Alex is organised and has a system; he keeps his eye on the details. He kept me informed of progress. The glass pool gate needed replacing so Alex referred me to a great guy. Replaced within a week!! I am delighted with my swim area and ready for a HOT summer! Thank you Alex, Ryan, DJ and Lachie.

Alex and his team are amazing. They worked solidly each day, all day until the project was completed. Not only are they hard workers but also very polite and respective. Alex is a very meticulous worker, which he also expects from his crew. I can honestly say they were a pleasure to have around and to watch the pool transform from a 70's style pool to modern stylist pool was exciting. With the old bush rocks left over from the waterfall, Alex suggested that we use them for a new garden down along side the pool - thanks Alex, I love my new garden. Alex and his team were very friendly, hardworking and efficient. With all the rain and a late start I’m amazed they finished on time. It is clear they have a lot of expertise and were very helpful solving some pre-existing issues. The pool area looks so much lighter and inviting, and I am so pleased with the result!
