Throughout the incredibly stressful experience of packing & moving, they consistently delivered calm advice & superior service. Owner Vivo came out for the first meeting and did a walk thru to evaluate what we had. Ivan was my go-to for any questions by phone (Q: how do we pack lamps? A: our movers will take care of them for you). They were accurate down to every detail. A miraculous experience in today’s world! Our moving team Ricardo, Elvin, Oscar Sr., & Oscar Jr. “Gonzales” were our heroes. They showed up on the dot at 8 AM. Ricardo directed the team and was reassuring while we were sleepless wrecks. All our worries were assuaged as we watched them dissemble, wrap and carry out furniture, lamps, art, plants, all my jewelry making paraphernalia that I hadn’t gotten packed….it was truly amazing. We’d been so worried about our plants, too big to fit in our cars, but the guys moved them all out intact and & into our new house where they are now thriving. Kevin and his team at Carmel Movers did an excellent job moving us from our apartment in Allston to our new home. Ivan, who arranged the move, and the administrative team were very communicative before and after the move, making sure to call to confirm the details and ask how everything went. Just wanted to throw this review out there, that I called them for a quote and though he immediately told me they wouldn't be a good fit for my project, the service he gave way by FAR the best I've gotten in my research through moving options. Guy who answered had no problem giving me advice and helping me find the best price for my job, after he had already told me I shouldn't use them. Everyone else hung up instantly when there was no sale. I don't ever expect anyone to want to spend time chatting and helping someone for nothing, but man this was such a refreshing change in the quality of service and transparency. My family is local to these guys and I'll be 100% recommending everyone their way.

Carmel Movers moved my Dad into assisted living in Marlboro today. From the onset, Ivan sent a very detailed estimate and set very realistic expectations for the move. They contacted me the day before to confirm. Ivan and the Carmel Moving Crew were EXCEPTIONAL in all aspects of the move. They wrapped the Furniture to withstand a Tornado, and handled the boxes items with great care. My 97 year old Dad was anxious about the move (having lived in his home for 70 years) and the crew took the time to speak with him and very kindly gave him reassurances that greatly helped with what could have been a traumatic move for him, but that went very smoothly. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Carmel Movers and highly recommend them. If you go elsewhere, you are definitely missing out on a Great Moving Company!

My husband and I hired Carmel Movers for our recent move at the beginning of May 2025. The movers were 3 men all of which were incredible and very professional. They arrived early so we didn't have to wait around. All our furniture was wrapped expertly and with care. They even noted which furniture came from which rooms so when they got to the new house, it was quick to unload. They really seemed to care about their job. When we got to our new house, upon entering the house they could tell the house was recently painted and the hardwood floors had been refinished so they were extra careful. They also went above and beyond. After setting up our king size bed, they moved it over a little so it would be in the exact spot we wanted it. They also offered to help unload an outdoor table a family member brought over. I highly recommend Carmel Movers. I have used a couple of different moving companies in the past and neither come close to Carmel.

These guys were awesome. Super professional. Unbelievably responsive pre move. **** was so easy to work with on this. Moving is stressful and he made this so easy for me. Ivan and the office team are friendly, professional, and responsive, and they have absolutely nailed each estimate. Zero surprises, total transparency, and amazing service from start to finish. We had a large move with 5 guys, 2 trucks and took 9 hours. We lived at the top of a hill with a winding S shaped driveway up to the house. I shoveled as best I could but within an hour it was so thick that the trucks couldn't make it up. The guys cleared the snow and put down deicer before starting to load everything up. They fully disassembled all the furniture, wrapped everything safely and reassembled at the new place. We're no fully unpacked and nothing is broken! Would definitely recommend

We have used Carmel movers 3 times now and I would recommend them to anyone. They're very careful with your items - I don't think we have even had any furniture scratched in all the moves - and great at assembly/ disassembly. In the most recent move one of our movers was testing our treadmill and it didn't work, which he discovered was because there was a small plastic piece inside a part that they hadn't even opened to disassemble the had broken during the move. He worked to find a workaround to keep the emergency switch in place without that small plastic piece, and made sure our treadmill worked again for us. I was thankful for how thorough he was in this and that he cared enough to make sure it worked again.This company is fantastic and I've already referred others to them and will continue to!

Carmel movers recently handled our 100 mile move within Massachusetts and absolutely everything went perfectly! From first contact, asking for a quote, to the final set up in our new home, their service was the best. My initial contact was responded to very quickly and the owner came out very quickly to see what the job entailed. The quote was provided promptly and was less than we were expecting. We had no need to get a second quote. We hired them and our requested move date was agreed to. On move day four movers arrived, toured the house and got to work wrapping furniture to protect it and moving things out to the trucks. Our belongings were well protected annd handled with care. All four workers were a pleasure to work with - polite, respectful and strong! In addition to typical sofas, beds, etc. we had some odd items to move from a workshop and they handled it all smoothly. Unfortunately I didn't choose Carmel Movers. I wish I had. Two other local moving companies gave me much lower estimates so I went with one of them. But the final price was $9,000 above the estimate, about the same as Carmel Movers. Carmel was honest about how many trucks were needed (3, not 2, 26-footers), and the cost. The other two moving companies said two 26-foot trucks would be enough, but they were not. They brought in a third truck, but only a 16-footer, which was not big enough and we had to leave some things behind and were even charged $300 for junk removal. The moving company I chose did a poor packing job, overloaded the trucks and caused boxes to be partially crushed by the weight, and an even worse unloading job, putting many boxes wherever it was quick to unload, causing me a lot more work moving those boxes to the correct rooms. If companies give you an unexpectedly low price, it's because they are cutting corners and/or can't live up to those low prices. Buyer beware. Trust a company that will give you an honest quote to begin with, like Carmel.

Moving is so stressful, and on both moves, we contacted Ivan frequently with questions as things shifted over the course of the move planning. Ivan welcomed our calls/emails and gave us great suggestions about how to structure the moves to keep costs as low as possible. Throughout the planning process, Ivan always went above and beyond to accommodate our changing needs. On moving day for both moves, the movers arrived a half hour ahead of schedule and got to work immediately. They worked efficiently, packed everything beautifully, and stayed in great communication with us throughout the process. On the delivery end, they unpacked quickly, neatly and were pleasant the entire time. The second move was also a bit complicated with multiple delivery points, and everything arrived to its proper destination, no problem. Carmel Movers are total pros, and we really felt taken care of, from move planning through delivery. So happy Carmel moved us... twice!

Lots of complicated logistics were handled smoothly and professionally. All the furniture was wrapped and carefully loaded. All the boxes here handled with care. Two different teams did the moves (one led by Hector and coincidentally the second one led by another mover named Hector-last initial M.) Both teams of 2 men arrived on time for each move, worked efficiently and left us feeling very confident that our belongings were in safe hands. Thank you for all your help with my move across the state. It started with a friend's recommendation. I found their contact info and filled out the short online form. I got a call from Ivan-- I know the phone can be scary for millennials/gen Z, but I swear he was easy to talk to and much more knowledgeable than any app. He got all the logistics down so that he could get the right team, the right truck, and a very accurate quote. He told me the truck has a secure space for art and mirrors, which saved me some prep time. The quote was similar to other places, but I chose Carmel because it was clear that they had a lot of experience. The 3-person team arrived a few minutes early and was ready to go. The truck was larger than I expected and turned out to be exactly the right size. I knew I would need help packing and they worked together to get it done. They asked questions as needed without making me feel overwhelmed. We got to my new address at the same time. They put all of my furniture where I wanted it. For this move, I did not request unpacking help because I wanted to take my time setting up the new place, so I set up designated areas for kitchen, bath, etc, and they made sure each box got to the right spot. Carmel Movers are an excellent value for a wide variety of moving needs. I'm glad I chose them.

I wouldnt trust any other mover with my furniture. Carmel employs only the best, most professional and knowledge people who appreciate your property and treat it with the utmost care. In the past 2 months, I have used them twice and in both situations, the move went smoothly and without any issue. Most recently this week, ****** and his crew mate arrived at the designated time, and within a half hour had my heavy, cumbersome bedroom set completely wrapped (of course it was raining) and on the truck. The recipient also raved about how great these two guys were. In my my opinion, this is the only moving company to consider, they are rock stars!
