Chris and I thought we knew what Indian food was until we came here. This place is very authentic with dishes you can't even pronounce. All vegetarian and all excellent. I have a hunch they are using MSG but nonetheless the food is fantastic. Completely legit and full of local Indian folks. So you know it has to be good. We will come back. I'm hoping the owner can reply about the MSG question.

Food that we tried: Street style veg manchuria: 4.5/5 Mushroom Ghee Roast: 4.5/5 Chilli Paneer: 3/5 (if added bit salt n spices it would have been great) Paneer Do Pyaza: 4/5 Mushroom Masala: 3.5/5 Chilli Naan & Garlic Naan: 3.5/5 (bit dry, could have been bit softer n buttery) Pachimirchi Paneer Pulav: 4/5 Veg Donne Biryani: 4/5 Gulab Jamun with Rabdi: 2.5/5 (Gulab jamun doesnot look like ith made out kova or gulab jamun powder, looks like its made out of bread) Gulab Jamun with Icecream: 2.5/5 Apricot Delight: 4/5 (WORTH TRYING!!! We tried ABC fresh fruit juice, baby corn Manchuria, Ragi Mudde, palak & corn curry, and soya fried rice. Ragi Mudde was the best of all and I’d recommend visiting this place for the best vegetarian food.

Very nice. We got paneer cheese burst, mixed veggie lollipop, curry leaf paneer, ulvacharu paneer pulao, and berry malai ice cream. All the items were tasty, fresh and came in large portions. One suggestion is to play some varying music as they only played this one flute soundtrack while we were there but otherwise very nice. Will come again.

I ate the samosa chat and beetroot dahi puri , it reminded me of home. All the main course options tasted very authentic and loved the biryanis as well. We finished it off with some apricot delight, I’m telling you it’s the best and tastes the same to the one in Hyderabad.

Bharat Bhavan never disappoints. The food is excellent, fresh, flavorful, and authentic, paired with a lovely ambience. The menu is extensive to the point of being overwhelming, in a great way. Whatever dish you’re thinking of, chances are they have it! Lunch hours can be very busy, so be prepared to wait, a true testament to how popular this place is!

We ordered paneer ghee roast, plain dosa, palak patta chaat, kheema pulao. Everything was very tasty. Restaurant was clean and restrooms as well. We went there on Saturday noon and it was insanely busy so if you are planning to have lunch, be there early.

We tried the highly recommended Nellore ghee karam dosa, ghee karam idli, regular idli, street-style noodles, and onion chilli uthappam. I honestly can’t pinpoint a single favourite—everything was excellent and perfectly matched my taste. Of course, we also enjoyed the fresh juices: orange, watermelon, and creamy muskmelon—each one refreshing and delightful. We ended our dinner on a perfect note with piping hot filter coffee and tea. Dined here last night with family.. the hype was real.. such a big place but the food was delivered on time.. and can’t imagine with so much foot fall how do they manage the cleaning ..hands off to the team.

We really enjoyed the Chana Dahi Puri and Pachhimirchi Paneer Cashew Pulao as they were our favorites. The Masala Dosa and Mixed Vegetable Paneer Dum Biryani were tasty as well. Portions were generous, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was just lovely. 10/10 would come again.

The food was amazing. Highlight of our dinner was Ragi mudde and Pacchimirchi paneer cashew pulao which was labeled as spicy, it was actually quite mild but I still loved the flavor. We also tried mini idly and Davangere benne dosa. The potato masala in benne dosa was very average, though chutneys were good.

We visited Bharat Bhavan on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, and overall, it turned out to be a pleasant experience. The waiting time was around 15 minutes, which is reasonable for a weekend rush. We were 4 people seated at a 6 seater in the beginning and then shifted to 4 seater saying they are going to give it to 6 people. However, it was given to 4 people later. I don’t understand what’s the point. We ordered a variety of items, and here’s our take: ⭐ Food Review Ghee karam Idli – Soft, fluffy, and tasty. Very enjoyable. 😋 Nellore Karam Dosa – Made with onion paste, which is authentic and added great flavor. Really good. 😍 Chole Bhature – Puffy, fresh, and tasty. One of the highlights. 🤩 Benne Dosa – Average. It’s good, but not exceptional. 🙂 Pachi Mirchi Palak Paneer Biryani – Just okay. Edible and mildly flavorful, but doesn’t stand out. 🙂 Mango Falooda – Not authentic; it’s creamy and loaded with nuts. The floors were wet. The inside was heavily crowed and couldn’t get to tables. There is a 35 to 45 minute wait time for a table of four. They called out our names even through we were not first in the wait line and so we got a spot. The restrooms weren’t too clean. The food tasted great because it was bursting with flavors with fresh vegetables. The chili paneer was spicy and it seemed like they used some ketchup. I strongly recommend the Thali meals.

A properly good Indian restaurant in Frisco is very rare (in fact, in DFW). I was surprised by the quality of food in Bharat Bhavan. A vegetarian restaurant that would please even non-vegetarians! I was told that they have chefs from different parts from India looking after the cuisines of their domain. That is why perhaps both the Benne Dosa and the Kadi-Chawal were excellent! The paneer cheese momos were good to start with. The chutneys were on point - especially the coconut chutney. So much flavor! We finished with a Mango Mastani, and even though it was something we could have probably made ourselves at home (or gone to Kwality next door), it was a nice way to round up our meal. The Delhi style chhole-bathure was quite satisfying, jackfruit biryani was impressive, and the kaju-paneer came with a proper amount of soft panner in a rich consistency gravy. I will mention that the pricing is on the higher side. If this is the price it takes to maintain the chefs, standards, and quality of the restaurant, then it's worth coming here on your day of "let's go somewhere nice." The ambience was bright, clean, family friendly. The service during dinner was much better. During lunch, it seemed the servers and attendants couldn't keep up - forgetting to restock utensils, give the menu, and bringing to-go boxes without an equal number of lids. It was difficult to get their attention - something they can improve on. They don't take reservations (as of today). You will likely have a 20-30 mins wait during busy hours. They don't do strictly to-go orders but you can pack your served meal to-go. Strip-mall parking available - may need to park around during busy hours.

We went on a weekend around 11:30 am , there was wait time of just 5 mins and we were then given our seats. Started with Rava Onion Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Ghee Podi Thatte Idli and Chole Bhatire Delhi style, each dish was so tasty and delicious , sambhar was mouth watering and lot of chutney options to go with. Also , got medu Vada which were quite fresh and masala chai. I felt it was taking time for orders to arrive but can’t complaint because quality was so good. This was my first visit but I’m definitely coming back.

Prices are a bit expensive compared to other restaurants in the Plano and Frisco neighbourhood, but the ambience and food were very good. The place is well-maintained, and the staff is friendly. The experience was great, and the chutneys were a highlight, making me want to visit again. If you're planning to take your family to a vegetarian restaurant for dinner or lunch, this is the best place to do that.

Mind blowing place. We waited about 45 minutes for a table since it was a weekend, but the food was totally worth it. Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. I could honestly eat here every day. The must-tries are the chitti idlis with sambar on top, the manchuria which is the best, and the thali. Amazing food, ambience, and great experience overall.

Finally!! We heard so much about this restaurant so today we ended up here. Restaurant itself is huge, plenty of staff. Warmly greeted and they seated us. Started off with their free papadam/fryums. Staff was very friendly and walked us through the menu. Food was super delicious. Perfect blend of spice/flavor and aroma. All freshly made. Nothing frozen/reheated. Owner also stopped by and spoke to us for a long time about the food, staff and grand opening plans. Portion sizes are big. We will definitely come back. Hope they maintain the quality, decor and cleanliness.

One of the best atmosphere which I felt like being in South Indian restaurant in India. I got mini idly, Benne dosa and Pongal. All three was so good. Best quality and taste. Loved the chutneys they had and the sambar felt so subtle and amazing. Had sitapal milkshake it was not complete natural could feel the essence. That was a bit down but overall amazing. I would come here back again.

Firstly the wait time is very horrible. They have to find better way for Wait Time. Waited for 45 minutes to get the table. But Honestly food was excellent. Quality and Quantity of the food is great. Service is good and fast. We have went on weekday but on Labor Day so wait time is more. We have ordered Veg Manchuria Noodles, Chole Bhature and Mysore Bonda. All of them are tasted well. Much recommended Indian Veg Restaurant.

Our second time going here. First time when we went, it was close to the closing hour- so they had run out of almost everything. This time we came early. There is always half an hour wait (lobby/ waiting area is always crowded), but once seated, the service is really fast. We had their executive thali (the quantity is enough for two-three people and they offer free rice refills), veg steamed momos (not spicy at all- perfect for kids), veg hakka noodles with gobi Manchurian (only few pieces of manchurian were there), corn fritters, and coffee. The complimentary fritters were average and the water tasted kind of weird(but other than that everything else was good). We so wanted to try the desserts but were so stuffed that had to give it a miss. The serveware is traditional, food is flavorful (spice levels can be altered as per taste), and the service and ambience is wonderful. Also they gave us 5 percent discount since we paid in cash. This place blew our minds with its extraordinary service, management, and, above all, its delish food!!! The food quality, the time it is served, and the staff friendliness are at the next level! Well when the reservation have an waiting time of greater than 20 mins, i thought it may be overhyped and wondered why people were will to wait. Great atmosphere and service. Appetizers were fantastic, done birayni is very good and should be haven when served hot. Cashew paneer pulao is overrated. Benne dosa is must try for people who haven’t tried.

With an all vegetarian menu this is an awesome place with great food, excellent service and with an eye pleasing ambience. Portions are just perfect for an individual and there are plenty of items you can choose from and that only means you gotta come back here again and again. 😃🤗 The Mysore Bajji is a little oily but fluffy and tasteful. The rayalaseema ragi mudda is very soft and smooth and really tasteful. If you never had this dish before, sure to check it out. The Chass has a somewhat raw taste from a powder or a vegetable and we couldn't take it beyond the first sip. First time, Chass being this way for me. The masala chai was great to excellent 👌👍

A wonderful spot for authentic vegetarian food! We tried Davanagere Benne Dosa, Masala Dosa, Medu Vada, and Methi Puri — every South Indian breakfast item was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. They also have Jain food options on the menu, which is a great plus. We had to wait about 30 minutes as they don’t take advance online reservations, but the taste made it worth it. The ambience at Bharat Bhavan was great, and had peaceful music playing in the background. The food was great, and my personal favourite was the Spicy Crispy Corn. The waiters were really nice and as we came at the right time (8 pm) for dinner, we didn’t have to wait. But later onwards there was a waitlist and people were waiting outside. It was really surprising that there were so many people on a Monday 😁 Overall, everything was great. Would recommend to others!

Finally an Indian restaurant that has it all - great and authentic tasting food, good ambiance, clean and great service. It is only vegetarian but the foos is so good that you will not miss non-veg! Highly recommended. It does get noisy and there was a waitlist by 7pm, so get there early.

The restaurant has an amazing ambience. A fantastic place to go with family. I went for breakfast. Idly was so soft and sambar, chutney was amazing to with idly. Rava dosa was crispy and so tasteful. Puri and chole was too good. Only downright is the vada. I felt it was too tangy, if not for vada I would have given 5 stars.

Perfect veg food with lot of varietys

Ok let me get the bad stuff out of the way - the menu isn’t printed- it’s on a tablet- and it’s a whole load of pictures- if you select the item, it just gives you the same image - only larger - no explanation of what the food has or anything. You can’t click on it to add it to the cart or anything. Seriously what’s the point of it??? Just a regular typed menu would be fine. It’s too many items and too much to remember when you’re placing the order for the entire family. Ok bad stuff done!! We had Thai bhel, chili tofu, chole bhature, benne dosa and kubani ka meetha. The food was great. We asked for mild, and got mild. The chili tofu was excellent. The veggies were cooked to perfection, the sauce was sweet, spicy and tangy in all the right combinations. The bhel was great. The chole was OK. It came with 2 bhaturas. The pickle that came with the chole was absolutely delicious!! The dosa and the chutnies it came along with were nice too. It’s a Bangalore style dosa, so it’s made slightly thicker than a Tamil style dosa. I wasn’t a fan of the kubani ka meetha though. It was way too sweet, but the Indian style vanilla ice cream it came along with was awesome. The staff were helpful. It was pretty noisy though, but you get that with crowded restaurants anyways. And since the food is great, it’s going to be crowded most of the time.
