They have musical instruments for guests and travelers to play! Food is great and decent priced. Showers are provided with towel, good shampoo, conditioner and body wash, and hot water. Service was a perfect 10/10 very humble, friendly, cozy place and staff!

Food is fresh and there are new daily specials . Service is superior - the sweetest , most thoughtful staff. Loved our lunchtime music and the wildflowers on the way home made our visit so special.

Stayed here after a fiasco at a campground in Sequoia and could not recommend it more. At dinner I got the pot roast and it was practically soul-healing! My partner got a burger and loved it too. Cannot recommend enough for an easy option close to King's Canyon and Sequoia.

Welcomed by some fun music, a clean lil restaurant and servers with huge smiles.The fish and chips (I had onion rings instead of fries) were the best - crispy, fresh and not at all greasy. Don't leave without ordering pot roast - 1:2 plate is huge. So yummy!!!

Great food and drinks as always and Lisa provided amazing service! We will definitely be returning the next time we visit the area. Highly recommend!

Had a one night stay here and it was great. Room was as advertised, and the key code check in made getting in and leaving a breeze. Had dinner at the restaurant (enjoyed the happy hour pricing!) and it was delicious! Greater variety than I had expected for being a bit remote. The staff were so kind, funny and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

The food was good the customer service was ok it seemed like maybe they are understaffed. Not much to eat in this area so it's worth trying. Got the pot roast it was fine.

Our family had a wonderful experience this evening at Gena's Restaurant. We sat on the patio, which was lovely, and enjoyed delicious food and the friendly atmosphere. The guys enjoyed the Wild West Cowboy burgers, and my daughter liked the Chicken Alfredo. The pot roast hit the spot for me (the half order was plenty), and the peach beer was tasty. The restaurant seemed to be a nice mix of locals and tourists. We had fun interactions with Gena as well as Chris and the restaurant dogs (Sven and River). Each of the elements added to a wonderfully wholesome experience. I'm grateful we stopped here after a long afternoon at Lake Hume.

We ate here two nights in a row because the food was excellent and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We also really enjoyed the outdoor patio with a great view and small koi pond. We highly recommend this restaurant!

I knew the bad reviews would be for the restaurant, which is admittedly mediocre... but I'd eat at it every time staying at the top-notch accomodations at Genas Sierra Inn. I challenge you to find a better value and stop next to Kings Canyon and Sequoia... The people who run this inn and restaurant are very kind - and you'll be damn nice to them when they're the last restaurant open in town after 8pm. This was my second time staying here and using the restaurant as my crutch after a day of hiking, and I totally appreciate it. Please don't raise the rates, we need this place!! Thank you!

Every staff person we interacted with was so friendly and helpful. The location is close to the parks so it's easy to get back and forth. The beers were served in a frosty mug which was delicious after a long day of hiking. Rooms are small but serve the purpose well. Cat Haven in close and worth visiting. Definitely recommending Genas and will be back.

Stopped in to Gena's restaurant while on a blossom trail countryside drive and really enjoyed the place. Wonderful customer service and great food ....all around very nice place to check out-so glad we stopped

It has taken me a while to post. My family stayed at the Sierra Inn in the summer of 2023 and were duly impressed by the owners, employees, and the room. Although the layout of the room was a bit odd, it was nice staying in a retro-style hotel. It could have used some hooks or shelves in the shower area, but everything else was quaint. The food in the restaurant was great. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Beautiful weekend in this place, and the best staff workers there.. We take Valentines weekend, and walking to King Canyon Park...everything was perfect!!!! See you soon!!

Finding accommodations in this remote area is not easy, so for anyone touring Sequoia National Park and King's Canyon National Park will find the location in Dunlap perfect. Crystal was a great resource because she is so well informed about the area. The accommodations are rustic, but clean and comfortable.
