I went to Dr Abbasi because my PT recommended him. I had knee pain that the PT helped at first but then my knee got so bad that I couldn’t walk without a cane one day. The pain came and went. Dr Abbasi ordered an MRI which showed a bone bruise and meniscus injury. He recommended PRP. He has a lot of experience in this area with athletes. I decided to give it a try and it worked for me. It is 6 weeks and it is rare that I have any pain and if I do it is just a twinge that goes away quickly. PRP has almost no risk since it is your own blood that is injected into your knee. Unfortunately it is not covered by insurance. It was about $1,500. The front desk people and his assistants are particularly nice.

I am so grateful for Dr. Abassi’s expertise and experience with ACL reconstruction surgery. I was lucky to be able to have the BEAR procedure, and while I’m not quite completely out of the woods and cleared to return to normal activity, I’m quite close as I approach the 9 month post-surgery mark in a couple weeks. His attentiveness along the roads of both post-injury and post-surgery was exceptional, as were his explanations of my limitations at all stages of recovery. Moreover, his guidance about what I could and couldn’t do, and how best to do things in such a way that protected the surgical repair and allowed it the time and conditions it needed to heal properly was invaluable to the completeness of my recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Abassi to anyone who suffered a blunt force ACL knee injury like I did.

Went to see the doc with crippling knee pain. Unable to play basketball or barely walk some days. Fist visit did some X-rays and went over some treatment options, got the treatment and was back to playing basketball within weeks! Doc is very knowledgeable, personable and truly cares. I had a great experience at this office. I received a platelet rich plasma injection for my knee and the results have been great. My pain has improved exponentially and my mobility is noticeably better.

I saw Dr. Abbassi for a third opinion on removing hardware from my femur and I’m so glad I did. Unlike another doctor who rushed me into surgery without proper imaging, Dr. Abbassi immediately showed concern, explained everything clearly, and ordered CT scans to be sure. Although we could not move forward with the procedure due to improper bone healing, he treated me with great care, patience, and respect. It is rare to find a doctor who is both thorough and compassionate. Highly recommend.

I was so upset and frustrated at my appointment today as I have been having unending pain in my knee to which 3 different doctors all told me different things about how my healing journey should go.
