A very cozy place with a great view. Close to the beach. The rooms were very clean and well taken care of. The beds were very comfortable. Check in was great, Very friendly clerk at check in. Loved the little continental breakfast window. Great idea. Everything we tried was good. Our only downfall was the bathroom is very small and showering was a challenge (being 6’ 5”) but that’s small potatoes. This was our first time staying and will definitely stay again on our next trip.

The Vista is a wonderful place to stay in Gloucester. The rooms are always clean and ready. We have stay here 3 times over many years while visiting family. The location is convenient to downtown Gloucester, Good Harbor Beach and Rockport.

Can’t beat the location if you want to be walkable to a gorgeous beach. The property itself is in excellent shape with great views of the ocean. The owner is friendly and helpful. The rooms are from another era, but seemed fairly clean and well-equipped. The TV’s have accessibility to all modern apps, Netflix, etc. which was nice. We’re just wrapping up a road trip from Vancouver to Nova Scotia, and by comparison this place is grossly overpriced. Also, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in adjacent rooms.

Cozy room and really nice folks. Tia at the front desk was great. Greatly enjoyed our stay. We were lucky to get the last room, make reservations.

Beautiful ocean view from our room and awesome patio deck. The kitchenette was great! The towels were bot very soft but the beds and pillows were very comfortable.

This hotel would of been 5 stars however lol the gentleman whom handled the situation going on between me and my so called best friend who basically was planning on leaving me stranded 14 hours away from home.... I was not impressed with . When I'm politely asking questions and you're being super rude for no reason , that was super uncalled for. Shame on this hotel and their management on how they handled these things. And being un informative. I mean aside from funding ungrateful peoples hotel.. i mean i'd say it was a decent stay... beds were not comfy but whatever.

The Vista is aptly named, as the view of the bay is magnificent. The exterior is very well maintained, pleasant and above all clean. The room amenities are complete and also useful. However, the furniture and bedding clearly need more love.

The Vista is a traditional motel with gorgeous views of Good Harbor Beach. Although the interiors are dated, they are pristine with many attentions to detail that show the owners and employees have pride in their establishment. They have a lovely pool and patio area and daily continental breakfast until 11! You can easily walk to the beach.

We had a fabulous stay at the Vista. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect. The rooms are a bit dated but everything else was so perfect, it didn’t matter We loved the pool, breakfast, location and dog park. It was a wonderful mini vacation. We’ll definitely be back!

Great motel with friendly staff, the cleanest room I have ever stayed in, and a great location for the price. It is an older motel but well kept. Beds are firm, breakfast is strictly continental and they supply actual pool towels for their heated pool. Dog friendly

The facilities are clean and well maintained, all the staff are welcoming and always ready to advise us / make our stay optimal. The location is ideal, less than 10 minutes walk to the beach. Excellent value for money. I would definitely return.

The staff were all very friendly. The housekeeping staff was pleasant and thorough. Great views. The grounds were impeccable. All of the folks working there never stopped moving. Mike paid incredible attention to detail. I have many family and friends in Gloucester and when they came to visit or pick me up, they were impressed with the rooms, view and porch. I have stayed here many times for years and am never disappointed.

The Vista was clean. The view from the balcony was spectacular. We were close to restaurants, beach and the marina. The Vista cleaned the room daily. There was a small kitchenette. I will definitely go back to visit.

The location, the Vista! from the hill, the retro feel, the great pool area, the nice little breakfast by the pool, the proximity to so many good restaurants and ice cream stands, the price and most of all, the wonderful, kind, helpful, hospitable staff. Just a lovely group of people. My wife found the Vista on a random search of motels in Gloucester about 6 years ago and we are now grateful regular repeat customers. We can't say enough good things about it and all the people.

Had a great stay at The Vista! I thought it would be smart to stay in Gloucester with a detour in Salem and I was not dissapointed. The closeness to the beach with stunning views from the bedroom made for an amazing stay. Staff was also super friendly on top of the clean and super cute rooms!!

Rally nice motel just outside Gloucester. Nice owner, clean rooms and a great view. Breakfast was also a plus. Just a 10 minutes walk to the beach and less than a 5 minutes drive to the beautiful town of Gloucester. We enjoyed our first day of vacation there on our Patio watching the sunrise. For dog owners: they have a very niice play area for dogs at the end of the property. Will come back for more than 1 night.

The Vista Motel in Gloucester, is incredible!!! The double bedroom is huge, it is clean, it is outstanding. The management, staff are super courteous, friendly & helpful. The view of the Atlantic, the Sunrise no words to describe the beauty. I shall return to this Motel.

Beautiful rooms with a great view. Prime location for getting to Ipswich and Salem. Adjoining rooms worked great for the whole family. When we forgot an item, we emailed, and they responded promptly saying they'd be able to mail it back with no problem. Would definitely stay there again

We stayed here four nights in one of their Premium rooms (which has a small kitchenette). The Vista met all our needs and exceeded our expectations. It is one of the most well-run hotels I have stayed in. Everything is very clean and works well. Every single staff person we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. This place is not fancy, but it is everything I want in a hotel by sea. And the views, ah the views. We've been back twice since I wrote this review (including August 2023). Still very happy.

Nice motel within walking distance to Good Harbor Beach (10-15 mins). Clean and well maintained. The pool was super clean and breakfast served in the a.m. although we brought our own coffee and breakfast which we enjoyed each morning on the patio. All in all we loved the motel and will def be returning.

This is a great place to stay. The Staff are friendly. The rooms are nice, the accommodations are good, and the views are spectacular. They have complimentary Breakfasts in the morning. There is a beautiful heated pool. The rooms are non smoking. The Vista is only a half mile from good harbor beach. Its next to a few stores including a supermarket as well. Pretty much everything was within walking distance during my stay. This is a wonderful place to stay and I do plan to return.

During our recent trip to Gloucester and The Vista, we had an incredible experience. Normally, we visit the St. Lawrence River in New York, but due to the poor air quality caused by the Canadian Wildfires, we decided to explore a new destination with cleaner air. We were uncertain where to stay, but luckily my wife stumbled upon The Vista, primarily because of its proximity to the famous Good Harbor Beach. Initially, I was concerned about the distance from downtown, but to our delight, it turned out to be a perfect location for our stay. Not only was it child-friendly and safe, but it also boasted a fantastic heated in-ground pool. Despite the beach being just across the road, we decided to drive, and it worked out wonderfully. Parking was easily available near the beach, although it came at a cost. However, we found it to be well worth the convenience it offered. The accommodations at The Vista were clean, comfortable, and exuded simplicity, but the highlight was undeniably the breathtaking 5-star views we enjoyed. The well-maintained grounds and the cleanliness of the whole property truly reflected the pride of ownership at The Vista. Moreover, the staff was extremely friendly and always ready to assist us. We were pleased with the continental breakfast provided, which served as a great start to our days. If you're visiting Gloucester for the first time, I highly recommend choosing The Vista as your accommodation. You will not be disappointed! Despite staying a little farther away from downtown, we were able to explore it every night thanks to the excellent recommendations from the helpful staff at The Vista.
