Discovered COLD air blowing from our heating vents at 1PM the snowy day before Thanksgiving (4 day weekend). A friend's realtor Joe Plutt recommended L&L Heating & Air by name. Melissa answered the phone promptly, listened to our situation, and explained the closest technician (Daniel Lewis-not the actor) was 20 minutes from our home on an involved boiler job. She called him, and he agreed to help us after completing his current project. Another contractor called us and explained that Rheem furnace parts are only available to Rheem-certified technicians, so I called back to confirm Daniel was Rheem certified (he is). Melissa allowed us to call Daniel to confirm he had Rheem parts with him, and Daniel proceeded to patiently listen to our furnace symptoms. He walked us through some of the possible problems upon request, and answered every one of our questions. The night before Thanksgiving, Daniel made a housecall in the snow at 5:30PM so that our pipes (and we) would not freeze over the long holiday weekend. What exceptional customer service. We will be contacting Daniel Lewis at L&L Heating & Air for our future furnace maintenance tune-ups, and will recommend Daniel personally for his 10 years of experience with L&L, his personable demeanor and helpful explanations, and his going above and beyond for his customers. We had a new AC unit installed in our house by L&L (which has never to had AC). From the start Jordon with L&L was very knowledgeable about HVAC, very low pressure, and really listened to us. He did the estimate in about 30 minutes, listened to our needs and gave us several AC pricing options. The L&L installation team was fantastic, very quick and efficient. Unfortunately the new unit they installed wasn't working right, but they sent a tech out the next day to diagnose the issue (he was great as well). They ended up having to replace it the following week. Throughout this entire process they provided great communications and were committed to making us happy customers. NOTE: We had received another estimate before calling L&.L. The other company was Terrible! High pressure salesman who knew nothing about HVAC, spent hours on the estimate, used delay tactics, upsold us (bigger AC unit, getting a new furnace, etc ), pressured us to get on the schedule, and not get other bids. Next time we need HVAC service of any kind, we will be calling L&L first. We will be calling them back when time comes to replace our furnace.

I'm SO glad I chose L&L for my new air conditioner! My old one was 27 years old and to the point where the tech said not to even run it. I called 5 different companies for estimates (for a 2-ton unit for my small bungalow.) They ranged from $6800 (the L&L one) to almost $15,000 for the same unit. I like that L&L is family owned, they really do want to give you the best service and advice, it's not just a sales pitch. I was extremely comfortable with the rep from the start and the installation guys were incredible. They were on time, very polite, took great care to keep my house clean as they worked and left the area spotless when they were finished. The follow up is impressive too. I got a nice packet in the mail the following week with clear instructions for my new AC and how to register it and the coils. So the service after the installation continued. I submitted a call request form on their website around 9pm on a Sunday, hoping to get a call back the next day. To my very pleasant surprise, I got a text message right away that a tech would be available to assist me the next day. The tech came to our rental unit and was able to diagnose our issue and order the necessary parts the same day. He even checked our AC warranty to make sure we wouldn't be purchasing parts that were covered. I was grateful for their above-and-beyond service! Our current tenant has a difficult work-from-home schedule, and when the part arrived, they graciously worked around her timeline to complete the repair. L&L is honest, kind, and responsive! This was the second purchase from L & L. We previously purchased a home heating furnace last year. It worked great this past winter season. So seeing how the heating unit work so well for us, we decided to go for the AC this summer. Nick wrote us a new quote for this AC and after a few Q and A sessions we gave him the go ahead. We made our install appointment for the next week. The install guys came about 8:30am and were done in less than 3 hours. They were courteous and answered all my questions about the install and how the system worked. I appreciate the honesty of the HVAC specialists at L&L Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. Two winters ago, my heater was short cycling. The first recommendation I got—from another company—was to replace it with a more powerful (and expensive) unit. The L&L technician instead suggested I try using two-inch air filters with a lower MERV rating to reduce strain on the system and prevent the motor from overheating. I made the switch, and this winter I haven’t had any short cycling problems. Simple fix, great results.

Nick was on time for checking out our furnace before the frigid weather came. Did basic maintenance on the furnace and replaced the thermostat which was causing the problems we were having. The company was very quick to get out to us.

Our heat went out overnight and our house was freezing! Of course things like this happen when temps are in the single digits. I called L&L and they immediately dispatched a tech to come and take a look at our furnace. I think I only waited an hour before someone arrived. The tech, Nick, was courteous and knowledgeable. I highly recommend L&L Heating and Air Conditioning! I've used them twice. Once in 2002 to replace the furnace and A/C in my townhome and I never had a single issue. Twenty two years later they replaced the units they originally installed in the same townhome in July 2024 not because they stopped working but I was retiring at the end of the year and wanted new units installed while I was gainfully employed. Six months later in January 2025 the furnace did stop working due to a faulty low voltage fuse. I called L&L and reported the issue and a technician (Brandon) was out at my townhome in an hour and a half to diagnose the issue and replaced the faulty low voltage fuse at no cost since the furnace was still under warranty. Great service, easy to work with, friendly staff, punctual, and quality work.

The office worker was very friendly and I was given a next day appointment for furnace inspection. Nick was the technician and was very prompt, texting of his arrival time. He uncovered a furnace problem that should have been detected on the home inspection. Fortunately the new motor was covered under warranty. Nick returned to next morning to install the new motor. We had to call him back after he left as the fan wasn't running; he returned promptly and cheerfully to locate and fix the issue. He checked in by text that day to make sure the house was heated. So far I have been happy with the personalized service I have received from both the office and techs. My swamp cooler was installed by L&L this last Spring. Very happy with the new swamp cooler (breezeaire). I recently called them for a seasonal service because I had concerns about the water line freezing. They came out in a timely manner, and did the work. And then because I still needed air circulation, they came back out to reattach the fan belt and power the system back on for ventilation purposes. Jason took extra special care to make sure that the job was done right and that all was running smoothly.

This was the third company that came out. A week later they showed up on time with three technicians and had the install finished in a half day. My ac unit stopped working and they diagnosed a simple safety switch that had tripped. They showed up promptly and also cleaned both the outside coils and checked inside coils. Grateful that they didn’t try to sell me on more than was actually needed to fix. Trustworthy company and will definitely use and recommend.

During their busy season, I am sure, I called as a new customer for service as a non-emergency appointment for one of our two AC units. The office staff was kind, polite, and professional, and gave me an appointment time within a week. I got a courtesy call 45 minutes before the tech's arrival. Although only one unit was not working, Jason checked both units, and replaced the capacitor in the broken unit. He cleaned both compressor radiators having to get his own garden hose as we did not have one (as we just recently moved in). Next, he checked the refrigerant level in the unit after replacing the capacitor as it was still not cooling as efficiently as it should according to his temperature measurements. Coolant level was fine. He ended up adjusting the blower fan speed down to assure better cooling. Jason, too, was friendly, efficient, and professional. I presented an online coupon for $56 A/C Unit Service Special, and he happily reduced service call from the standard $129 - Wow! - plus the cost of the replacement capacitor.

IL& L has done a few things for me. They do what's needed and I've never (ever) felt over charged. I'll continue to have them do my repairs whenever I need some.
