This gym is amazing. Great instructers that make you feel comfortable, safe, and that care about your goals and well-being. They have cultivated a community here that is open, accepting, and positive. Highly recommend joining!

Great group, the small group classes are fantastic, I highly recommend Phoenix

Phoenix is such an amazing experience. I’ve only been here for a couple of weeks, but the coaches and people are so nice and supportive. Ethan and Renee really make it such a welcoming environment.

This place really helps build of the basics for kickboxing and other martial arts. The instructors really care about how well you learn and are fun to be around. Every class is a fun adventure and I can’t wait for more.

I joined their bjj program as a complete beginner and it’s been a great time. Their coaches are very experienced and have been able to teach me a lot in the short time I’ve been at this gym. Jimi is always eager to answer my questions and just have regular small talk with me after classes which has made it feel easy to fit into the community here at Phoenix gym. The other athletes in the program are also very patient and willing to give pointers if you ask. The owners, Ethan and Renee, are both awesome and always give me a warm smile whenever I see them, so I’d definitely recommend joining if anyone is looking for a place to train, workout, or just looking to learn a new skill!

Joining this gym has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The coaches dedicate a bunch of time and effort to make sure your form is good on workouts and drills. As somebody who was fairly new to a structured strength training program, and extremely new to boxing— I couldn’t imagine a better gym to be at. The class times are readily available during the week, giving ample flexibility and opportunity to show up as much or as little as you like, with no pressure. I got MWF after work and have had no problem getting classes I wanted. If you’re somebody like me, new to gyms like this and looking for a safe, welcoming, structured, and technically sound place to start, look no further. This gym is the best investment you’ll ever make, and I’m serious when I say it may just change your life.

I reached out to Phoenix on behalf of my son (age 6), who wanted to experience and learn boxing. Coming from another related discipline, I have been overwhelmingly impressed by Phoenix’s engagement and sincere interest in his sporting development. I recently joined Phoenix. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and they are extremely knowledgeable on physical training. Would recommend to anyone looking to workout in the Richmond area.
