This was the 2nd time in a month we reached out to the PDX Branch of PDX Movers. Sometmes life gets chaotic and Grady helped us get started this time. We hired PDX Movers recently, and overall the service was good— the team worked hard and got the job done. However, I do want to flag a serious issue: they moved our washer and dryer, and shortly after the move we had an appliance repair technician check them. Unfortunately, the washer was deemed completely inoperable and now has to be replaced while the dryer will require maintenance. This means that we have not been able to do laundry since our move and is adding an unexpected cost and stress. Everything else about the move was good, but this was a costly and disappointing outcome. Edit to Original Review: Since posting my original review, PDX Movers reached out and resolved the issue with our damaged washer. I really appreciate that they took responsibility and followed through to make things right. While our move wasn’t perfect, their responsiveness and willingness to address the problem speak well of their customer service.

From start to finish PDXmovers were professional, communicative, accessible and thorough. During the actual move on Aug. 15 (from SW N. Dakota St), the moving team were punctual, communicative with me and each other, and efficiently and safely emptied my parents’ very full apartment and moved everything into their new one in less time than anticipated.

My movers were Seth, Brandon, and Brad -all three were phenomenal, they took extra care to make sure everything that remotely could have gotten damaged/needed protection was blanket wrapped. In addition, there upwards of 2000 books that needed moving. I made the mistake of getting medium packing boxes for these instead of small ones (lesson learned), and the first few boxes were REALLY heavy. Despite this, they never once complained. Rock solid crew. My one complaint about the company is the marketing team is a little aggressive - I filled out several online interest forms for local moving companies, and PDX Movers was the only one that actually called me afterwards, for 3 days in a row, till we finalized the intake. They came highly reviewed, so I reached back out to them when I was ready, but the daily reminder was a little off putting.. On the other hand, the intake process was pretty smooth, and they person who handled the survey was also excellent. Altogether, I'd bump the score down to 4 stars, but I don't want to detract from the excellent job the guys did on the day of.

Best moving experience ever! We hired PDX movers to move our med spa from inside of Washington Square Mall into an office building in Beaverton. They sent four amazing guys: Chris A, Aryon, Grant and Isai. Not only did they take extreme care with all of our very expensive equipment, they wrapped everything beautifully, they were efficient and courteous. They had everything packed, loaded, moved and unloaded within four hours. The best part? The total came to $1,000 less than the initial quote. Highly recommend using them to make your moving a breeze.

I had the best moving experience ever with PDX Movers! The move was a considerable challenge because I was coordinating it for my elderly aunt who was moving from her home on the Oregon coast to an assisted living facility near Portland, while I was on the east coast. Grady was a godsend taking care of all the logistics of the move. The moving team was exceptional, taking great care with my aunt’s belongings. They met one of my aunt’s friends at her home who supervised the move on that end. She had rave reviews about the team… conscientious, friendly, hardworking, neat. Once at assisted living, the moving team met with another one of my aunt’s friends who oversaw the moving in portion of the adventure. She praised the team for their professionalism and great care of the furniture, boxes, and totes. PDX Movers kept in constant communication with me throughout every step of the process. I was very impressed! Pricing was quite reasonable and I was happy to be able to add tips for the movers directly onto my final bill, since I wasn’t there in person. With another move in the future once the house is sold, I know exactly who I’ll be calling. Highly recommend PDX Movers!

They took great care of all items, the homes, and worked with me while I was experiencing the usual decision-fatigue and stress that comes with home buying and moving. I hired PDX Houston for a labor/truck only move over a short distance on September 10. The whole experience was very nice. From the no upselling on the services that I needed to the promptness of the move to how nice Mike, Felix and Carlos were during the moving process. The 3 of them never stopped working to minimize the hours I had to pay for and they were extremely careful with all of my furniture. I will use them again from the move out of storage in a month or so and would highly recommend to others.

Larry, Jensi and Amilio did a decent job. They worked hard and efficiently, with only minimal damage to walls (and none to furniture). Really nice guys! Fair price too

Rock solid company. They're very careful and if anything they're too cautious. You do NOT need to treat my $10 IKEA mirror like it's a fragile infant. You do not need to meticulously inventory every Lego brick in the box, and I'm only partially joking here. They should have an option for those of us that'd prefer efficiency over 100% of our stuff being in predestine condition, my risk tolerance for IKEA furniture breaking is high, don't waste the time and material being too careful. I had a couple hiccups with logistics and misc things, but I was able to get everything worked out and my expectations where 100% met. The workers are all super professional and hard working.

We had a three day pack and move August 24-26 from the Portland area to Eugene. The entire process went well from start to finish. We are in our 70's, so the move was a bit daunting. We're finally settled into our new home, most boxes unloaded, and beginning to relax. Our crew led by Wesley was incredible. They worked well independently, as well as they did as a team. I just used PDX Movers for a big move across the country, and have had a stellar experience. From the very beginning Max, my coordinator was very transparent with providing information so I could verify their qualifications and licensing, he helped me get a quote and through the process to secure them for my move. Leading up to the week of move the company was very communicative, lots of detailed instructions were provided, and payment was easy and clear. On the day of loading in Oregon the team was great. Our lead, Cody, was very good about letting us know of any changes (i.e. furniture that had to be further taken apart), helping us secure larger boxes for couch cushions, and the entire team was gentle with our stuff and very kind. Upon unloading, Mike, our lead was also great. He was hardworking, nice, and wonderful at ensuring the rest of the crew was gentle with our belongings, and he also stayed to ensure our stubborn Sleep Number bed was back up and running correctly. The only part of this journey that I've yet to experience is the claims process; we had a few small damages that I've submitted to the company and am hopeful the process will go as efficiently as this whole process has gone (I will update after that). I truly can't recommend them enough; moving across the country is so stressful and they made this process so easy!

We first found out about PDX Movers through seeing one of their trucks in our old neighborhood. Now, when we see their trucks, we have to agree: PDX Movers are NOT your average movers! They were incredibly clean and considerate. Also, they were FAST as could be. Professional and friendly, with senses of honor and courtesy. But more than that, our team of PDX Movers went the extra mile to get us moved. See, we moved into a house with a narrow entrance directly leading into a switchback and a set of 6 stairs. By narrow, I mean: if our entryway were a river overflowing with the current, no fish could contort his body to maneuver around the protruding wall. If he could! -- If he could, there would be no strength left to make it up the stairs. My desk, which wasn't so much heavy as it was wide and cumbersome, involved delicate maneuvering to curve its flat surface around our wall. It became very clear, very soon, that maneuvering our 500lb piano would... NOT be possible. My daughters and I stood there helpless as they told us they didn't think it was going to work (and then we started praying). The only alternate option was to keep the piano in the garage level. We asked the movers to try -- and heard them honestly tell us they will, but against their better judgement. I signed a liability release form. They unscrewed our front door, taking it completely off the hinges: Every fraction of an inch counted. It was agony. The men were flat on the ground, one strapped to our piano from the front lifting/pulling, one strapped to the back lifting/pushing, and two more pushing from the back. It was a miracle. ... because these men not only fish-contorted the piano around the switchback wall, but they HEAVED IT UP THE STAIRS. Excruciating inch by excruciating inch. They truly spent superhuman amounts of energy and strength for this, and there was no damage to stairs, walls, or piano (alright, a scratch or two on the top stair, but seriously, this is SO ok and you don't even see it. It doesn't bother us whatsoever. This is NOTHING compared to what should have happened). We walk by the piano now, and I think all of us praise God every time a) for the glorious fact that it is there, and b) for the angels who put it there. So thank you, and bless you, PDX Movers! They were great overall, but this piano story is extraordinary. Cannot recommend PDX enough. They are NOT your average movers.

PDX Movers have been superb from start to finish. I am grateful to the entire staff for making my elderly mother’s move go so well. A special shout out to Jose E, Anthony M and Alejandro P. They were so efficient and caring. It was truely a pleasure to work with them.

It all went down great but giving 4 stars because they sent three people to move my small 1 room apartment and two of them seemed to not know what to do unless directed. This slowed the whole thing down and the one guy that knew what he was doing didn’t have enough time to handle all the details himself- removing plastic wrap and such. While a little less than super-efficient, they got the job done in 2 hours, dint damage anything and I felt the price was fair.

From initial inquiry to the move, experience was top notch. Friendly, hard working team.

Great service from Felix and crew at PDX movers. I had a Katy to Oklahoma move and they packed, loaded, unloaded and unpacked everything for me. They somehow fit all of my stuff (2200 sqft house) into the 26 ft truck. I did not think it was going to fit. More importantly, nothing was dented/damaged and not a single dish broke. My memory is not as good as it once was, but I think packing took 5-6 hours, loading was under 3 hours, unloading/unpacking was 5 hours.

Pdx helped move my family long distance. They did a great job with communication before and during the move. We didn’t have any breakage and they were professional through it all. I highly recommend using them for your next move.(special shout out to Abe and the other local guys who helped unpack the trucks!)

Everything I could have hoped for in movers: easy to schedule, reasonable pricing, and a courteous, friendly, and hardworking crew. They were able to disassemble and reassemble furniture for me, move boxes that I had brought over myself, and they handled everything with great care. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Jose E, Niilo C and Bryan H did a fabulous job! They were on-time, extremely communicative, and respectful of our property. I would highly recommend them to anyone needed moving services.

PDX movers were a great choice for our move from Seattle to the Portland area. They provided great service and communication during the planning process. Pricing was less then other larger companies, and we didn't need to share space on the truck or wait for a week for our stuff to arrive. Our situation required a move out on Thursday and a move in on Saturday and PDX movers accommodated no problem. We had the same crew both days - Tanner, Eric, and Trenton. They were completely friendly and respectful of our things, and happy follow any direction we provided. I would glady use PDX movers again.

Landon and Brandon R. were exceptional at helping us move out of two apartments into a single home. They were efficient, courteous, and took special care of wrapping fragile items. Would absolutely work with PDX Movers again and highly recommend!

We used PDX Movers for a move from Tigard, OR to Redmond, OR in November 2024. Moving day was very rainy and weather over Santiam pass was not ideal. We packed our own boxes, but they prepared all the large furniture. The guys who loaded the truck were on time, courteous, and very careful with our belongings (wish I remembered their names :( to give them credit here, but it's taken awhile to get to the review. They took a lot of care to protect our things from the rain and nothing was wet or damaged on arrival, except one small glass lamp shade, which they offered to pay to replace. I was super nervous about the move because we had an entire household of 30 years' accumulation, and the weather was not ideal. They were very communicative from start to finish and provided a great experience at an exciting but stressful time.

I have used PDX Movers several times in the last five years. I keep coming back to them because they do a great job. They are always easy to work with, communicate well, and their prices are very reasonable. On my most recent move, the crew of Grant, Chris A., Jose, Paul, and Isai were super helpful and efficient. We used PDX Movers for our recent move and were very impressed with their professionalism and efficiency. They were very nice and personable but still got the job done promptly, coming in a little under the estimate. What impressed me the most is that when there was a little damage to the hallway from a box colliding with the wall, they were quick to take responsibility and arrange someone to come out and make repairs at no cost to us, and now the hallway wall looks good as new AND all our things made it safely to our new home!

*Updated Review* my initial experience with PDX Movers wasn’t stellar due to some damage that occurred after being assured that I would have proper protection for my items when they were being moved. The biggest damage was the crack in my flatscreen tv. After hearing about my negative experience, Mike personally reached out to make things right and fully reimbursed me for a new TV. It is very clear that Mike cares about the customers who use PDX Movers and it meant a lot to me that he reached out very quickly and corrected the situation.

Five stars ain’t enough for this crew. They did a fantastic job moving us from our single story home to our new condo. Polite, professional and always great attitudes made for a smooth couple of days. Highly recommend this crew of Jose, Mike, Isai, Edward and Abe.

PDX Movers did a fabulous job. I appreciated the care they took wrapping some very special furniture my father and grandfather made for me. I also enjoyed visiting with the guys and it was fun having them in my home. My crew was Mike D, Cody, Westley, Jake, and Mando.
