This is the closing weekend for this wonderfully delicious BBQ. I loved the food. Menu simple and a great concept for ordering and picking up without staying in to dine.

First….tallow fries. I put one hot fry in my mouth and felt like I was back in the 70’s with actual real food!! I’m not sure you need anymore information but …. I did order the midnight Cuban Sammy. Also. Amazing!! The meat was spectacular. The bread had a bit of salty buttery goodness along with exceptional crunch! I actually thought it was a double decker only To realize it was actually a huge sandwich cut in half. I could def split this w someone! I got all the dips, they were all good but the one w horse radish was the best w the Sammy! I also had never had their bbq so wanted to try a few bbq sauces w my fries. They were ALL exceptional!! I immediately texted my bbq loving fam who all love out of state with pics included and they all are now craving bbq. They come to town this weekend so Sunday may be headed back for more!! Nom nom!!🤤 Oh. The sweetest young lady also offered complementary tea while I waited on my to go order. A very simple, yet impactful gesture!!!

Can't say enough good things about Redemption. Great BBQ, always great service, reasonable prices, and best of all they are health conscious - not adding unnecessary chemicals and nasty things to the food like seed oils or preservatives that shouldn't be there. Other restaurants should take note!

I love the food here. The people are great too. The potato salad in particular is a great side. The cheeseburger, pork, and brisket sandwiches are a great entree.

Great staff. Delicious food. Great options. Clean ingredients. We came in with a group of 12 just looking for a good Bbq near by, they aren't used to big groups and they took us in like family. Thanks for taking care of us! Great service and the family loved everything!

What a gem! Missing Deep dish pizza from Chicago? This is as close as you’ll get here in RVA! Great bbq, great sandwiches! He even does some Chicago style beef sandwiches that are amazing! Follow on fb for specials. The owner supports local farms and uses pasture raised meats! While you wait for your freshly made order, enjoy complimentary iced tea and watch a little tv.

I really enjoy the weekend specials here. The pizza is also amazing and quite close to what you get in Chicago. It's one of only two places currently that serve a deep dish in Richmond.

How was Redemption BBQ, you ask? In a single word, amazing. It absolutely blew me away with the quality, the taste, the sauces...everything. Even the smoky, woodfire smell of the place is enough to set a mouth watering and a stomach rumbling. This place is barbecue the way it was meant to be. And they also have burgers, brisket, chicken, and even Chicago deep dish pizzas take-and-bake to go. This is the barbecue joint I've been waiting my whole life for.

Some of the friendliest service I've ever gotten while picking up food. Shoutout to the staff! And shoutout to your delicious burgers, fries, and cornbread. The mac & cheese was alright- but needed more flavor. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Top notch BBQ! What a wonderful surprise on our way out of Richmond. I had the “Midnight in Virginia”. I’m a Cubano LOVER, and this one of the best! It was balanced, flavorful and the bread… perfection. I’m marking as a favorite in Google Maps so I am sure to stop in again! (Got a special chimichurri cheesesteak with brisket for my son back home.)

Place is tiny if you plan to eat there. Food was great. Pulled pork, brisket, Mac & cheese, and the Chicago Deep Dish Pizza were all very good.

Okay so I know this is a bbq joint, but the pizza is fantastic! After a long search for Chicago deep dish pizza in RVA, I was disappointed. After consulting Reddit, I found “Redemption BBQ” cited as an option. I admit, I was skeptical, but after running to Short Pump and securing a frozen sausage and pepperoni pie, I was AMAZED. This pizza was delicious and very authentic. 10/10 would recommend. Also, I want to try the BBQ now.

We ordered the Chicago style deep dish pizza with brisket and loved it. Perfect balance of cheese, crust, meat and sauce. BBQ sauce pizzas can be hit and miss but this was perfect. You have to call the store to order it, it's not listed via online ordering.
