I’ve stayed in Nusa Dua 3 times - The Mulia, Melia and The Sakala Resort. From a $500 AUD per night to a $250-300 AUD at The Sakala Resort it’s safe to say that they delivered service at a higher level than I ever anticipated. All of the staff were friendly, attentive and kind from the moment we arrived to when we left. They were willing to help with anything and communicating through WhatsAPP was very efficient. I asked for water sports pricing, for an on call Doctor and whether they had bandages on site etc. The breakfast buffet comprised of Indian food, waffles, pancakes, fruit, a live egg station and a live noodle station, sautéed veggies, salads, traditional Balinese food, yoghurts, breads and pastries etc. It covered a wide range like your usual typical breakfast buffets but I particularly liked the live noodle station. There was a lot of construction work but the resort was quiet with less tourists. The pool was my favourite! It was enclosed by the side of the hotel and it gave a jungle vibe. There’s a water slide and a section for kids and it was well kept even with construction going on. There was a bar and huts that had a jacuzzi which was nice to stay away from the sun. The rooms were well equipped, the bed was comfier than my home bed. The decor was dark wood and some furniture was chipped but nothing too obvious. There’s some wear and tear in the tiles of the corridors but expected and not an eye sore. Choosing the room with access to the pool makes it all worth it! I had the best nasi goreng from room service. Their chicken was crunchy and crispy, if they had just the chicken on its own to order in bulk I’d have it every day. If you’re into water sports, they’re easily accessible across the road. The beach had white sand and some chairs and there are restaurants as well but I didn’t get a chance to try. I visited the Kid’s Club with my 9 month baby, it was kept clean, had an array of toys and a mix of entertainment for older kids. It was my first time at a Kid’s Club in Bali so hard to compare. I organised a birthday and an anniversary surprise in the rooms for my family and the results did not disappoint! Incredibly happy with how it turned out and they were definitely surprised with the measures they’ve gone to decorate the room. If you’re after a place for a combination of relaxation by the pool and water sport adventures without the price tag but not compromising on service - then The Sakala Resort is the place for you!

I recently stayed here for two nights during Nyepi (Bali’s Silent Day), and it turned out to be such a sweet and memorable escape. The hotel really understands how to take care of guests during this unique time. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my stay, always making sure everything was comfortable. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing stay. What I appreciated the most was how the hotel prepared a variety of activities for guests during Nyepi, so we never felt bored despite staying in the property all day. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable and special. Shootouts to Ms. Tian (Marketing Staff) who help Us a lot during our stays. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a peaceful and well-thought-out Nyepi retreat in Bali!

The staff were always very friendly and helpful. Demmy is a very nice guy and gave us some helpful tips during our stay. The room was very beautiful and everything was good. Overall, we had a great experience and felt very comfortable here. I would definitely recommend this place.
