CAMERON HIGHLANDS Highlights We did the Cameron Highlands tour, and even though the weather wasn't great, it was fantastic! The first stop was the Iskander Waterfall, which is truly beautiful. On the return drive in the torrential rain, we could hardly believe how quickly it had transformed into an absolutely gigantic, raging waterfall! A quick stop in the rain at the Cameron Tea Valley, where you can take a lovely walk through the fields. Then we went to the Boh-Sungei Tea Farm. It's beautifully situated, and there are brief information sessions (films, guided tours) about the farm. A stop on the road for blowgun shooting was interesting, but left me with mixed feelings, as the Orang Asli have developed alcohol and drug problems. The Butterfly Garden was also a mixed experience, as the animal husbandry is, to put it mildly, not ideal. The insight into the plant world was nice, though. At the end, we had lunch at the golf club, where we were incredibly cold thanks to the weather :) Many thanks to Mr. Sun, he was a great guide and an incredibly safe driver, which is so important on this route! He delivered us safely back to the hotel despite the heavy rain.
