Ski Country Auto Repair did a thorough inspection of our 2000 4-runner and made a few suggestions to keep our beloved SUV in tip top shape. Scheduling an appointment was very easy and the pricing seemed very fair. My wife's Navigator broke down on I70 while we were on vacation from Texas. They came and loaded it on a flathead within 30 minutes of contact. They acquired the parts and had it repaired within two days. Everyone from the tow driver, receptionist, mechanic and manager were all so nice. Highly recommend.

Check Engine light came on and they were able to get us in promptly. Diagnosed the problem and quickly repair done in a timely manner and car back to us. Josh, service writer, was very helpful, easy to deal with, and was able to get our extended warranty policy to pay for more than I thought they would agree to. Have used them in past for repairs as well and always been satisfied with service and communications with them. Definitely recommend them for service in our County.

Let’s discuss the tow driver that came and rescued me off the top of some black ice while operating a fuel tanker. Well his name is Davion. He was great! I would probably still be stuck had he not showed up. The dispatcher said he would arrive in 60 minutes or less. Well he showed up 25 minutes later. He managed to get my FUEL TRUCK off the black ice with no accidents or damage. Myself and my company highly recommends ski country towing and Davion for any commercial towing needs.

We were extremely impressed with the Towing side of this company!! We work at Copper Mountain & Park in the Alpine parking lot and needed our truck towed in for repairs. It happened to be on one the heavy snow and busy days here this season. The parking lot was over parked and very tight. Since we were parked along the front row I had hoped the easy/quick way would have been for the driver (Davion) to back straight up to the truck and slide it right on. There was a slight frozen berm in front of the truck from the plow the night before. It could be done, very quickly, but the driver opted to not to risk any damage to the truck because of the frozen berm and choose the more difficult challenge of negotiating the parking lot. As a CDL holder I was VERY Impressed with Davion's driving skills. Multiple 3 point turns to negotiate the crowded lot. Then having to pull the truck backwards and sideways a bit to get it onto the deck of the tow truck. This was a sweet surprise from any other towing experiences I have had. Thank You Davion! Ski Country will be doing the repairs on the truck and we can only assume their Service is as great as the Towing side of the business. We will let you know.

On my way to work this morning and my right front end had a failure. Called Ski Country and Bonnie pleasantly took all my info and let me know Dave would be there shortly. Dave quickly recognized a ball joint failure and took the necessary precautions to get my car safely on the flatbed with no additional damage. Dave was super on the job site and was concerned with my property. Working with him was a pleasure. I have used Ski Country for service previously and now I have experienced road side as well. Fantastic, fast service. We have an older minivan we use during ski season in CO. It’s our load-hauler and occassional camper. It suffered a starter failure in the Frisco Walmart parking lot Dec 30th- aargh! Dark, cold, and DEAD. One call at 6pm, answered by a HUMAN, and my headache was on the way to being solved. Ski Country got it towed (Davion- rock star), diagnosed Dec 31, and fixed by Jan 2! Fair price, but considering how fast it was done, it was an INCREDIBLE bargain in my book. They’re a NAPA-affiliated shop, so parts they install here are warranted nationally 3 yr/36k miles. HUGE! Josh in service was on the ball every minute, Laura (owner!) was my first contact and was great. HIGHLY recommended. They salvaged my holiday trip.

I had a flat on my way from Steamboat to Denver. First tried Big O Tire who couldn’t work on it for several hours. Went to Ski Country who took me in right away. Quickly determined that I had a giant nail and the tire was ruined. They didn’t have the replacement in stock - I would have ordered it but don’t live in Frisco So they put on my spare After all that they said “no charge” and refused any payment. So I tipped the tech and offered profuse thanks. Super helpful and friendly people!

Our car broke down on vacation in Breckenridge . These guys were BEYOND amazing and fit in seeing our car , as well as letting us borrow a loaner car overnight so we weren’t stranded at the hotel without a car. We would recommend them HIGHLY to anyone!!!

I had a great experience with Ski Country. Josh was awesome. I called initially to set up an appointment and had no issues. Upon dropping my car off we chatted about the issues I was having and he said he’d reach out with whatever they found. I really appreciated the correspondence both by email and by phone. I received an email after my initial inspection with detailed notes/photos. Josh then called me to explain everything over the phone. The work on my vehicle was done in about a days time. Car runs smooth and no longer has any of the issues I had previously discussed with Josh. Would recommend this place for any of your auto needs. Great communicators, great mechanics, great business.

Flat tire in Safeway parking lot. Davion was doing a quick shop and when he realized I was having difficulty offered to put the spare on. Wonderful that he took the time to assist a 75 year old local. I took the original tire into their shop and expect it repaired and back on today. Great company for locals to deal with.

Had an issue while driving on I-70 with three other senior citizens, and a back full of luggage on a very hot day for the mountains. Our car began intermittently losing power after climbing a few mountains in the heat. At our second pulled over Steve happen to be there helping a truck while we found out AAA would be a long wait, There was no chance of taking on for passengers or Even a potential rental. Meanwhile Steve told one of us he could arrange to take all four of us into town, either towing us or following our car in after a cool down. While waiting we noticed that four-wheel drive was on Unintentionally. Decision was to follow us slow a few miles Mostly downhill to the next exit at Dillon Dam. He left us there without any charge for his time, stating he would return if he was needed. With all of the pulled over vehicles that day we were lucky to escape the heat with Steve’s help of checking and advising.

They were wonderful , quick and easy to deal with. On my sprinter when I made the mistake of placing gasoline in tank instead of disel and I had them do all the up to date maintenance on it for a much better price then Mercedes in denver. It's great to have a reasonable price place right here in frisco.

We were in Summit County for a visit. When I loaded the car up to leave I noticed an oil puddle that was more than a drip. It needed attention. Called Ski Country and they were able to quickly check out the car and discovered a loose drain plug. They got it it tightened, topped off the oil and had us on our way at a very reasonable price for short notice.

This place is amazing! I had a nail in my tire at 5 pm on a Saturday, and I thought no tire place would be open as well as on Sundays. But Ski Country Auto Repair saved the day! Dave was super helpful. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Unfortunately, he couldn’t patch my tire because of where the nail was, but he quickly put on my full-sized spare for free. I was in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. I was worried about making it home to Denver with two small kids in time to get a replacement, but Dave understood and made sure I could safely return home. He’s a down-to-earth guy. I highly recommend them!

I appreciated the continual testing of parts that was done prior to repair. There was no guessing and just throwing in parts. If I didn't need the work, Josh let me know it could wait vs just moving forward saving me money. I received diagnostic results via email. They kept me well informed of problems along with solutions to resolve my problems. Very friendly every time .

I had a flat on my way to work on a Sunday (not a single other tire place was open in all of summit county) and the team really saved my day. Unfortunately the tire was unfixable and although initially I only wanted them to put my spare tire on as I wanted to buy tires back in Denver, they didn’t charge me anything for attempting to fix the tire and changing it to the spare! After finding out they could order whatever tires I wanted and have them in the store the next day to put them on I decided to go with it, which was the best decision ever as I wouldn’t have been able to get an appointment or the tires I wanted anywhere else until at least 3-4 days after. All in all my experience was top notch and the whole team couldn’t have been nicer, more knowledgeable and more helpful!

We pulled into ski country auto repair and Josh came right out and helped us right away and eased our minds that it was probably some bad gas. He cleared the codes and reassured us that if the light went on again they would able to get us in while we were in Frisco. (Luckily , he was right and we just needed some additive to the gas). He refused to take any $$ even though we were insisting! This is not the kind of service you get most places!! We feel good about knowing if something happens to our son’s car ,who lives in Frisco, that there is an honest mechanic he can go to. Can’t recommend them enough!!!!

We had an issue with our intercooler and had to pull over on the side of the road after losing a bolt. We had a bunch with us, but of course, not the right one. Dave from Ski Country Auto Repair & Towing happened to be nearby prepping to tow a semi, and without hesitation, he walked over to check on us. He not only gave us the correct bolt, but also supplied Loctite and the tools we needed to get back on the road. With the parts stores already closed, his help saved us from a real bind. I got stuck in a snowbank the other evening during a whiteout avoiding a 3 car accident. Dave Roemer pulled me out and took my car a little ways up the road away from the accident. We had a breakdown in Silverthorne CO. and Dave Ski Country Auto Repair and Towing was one of the most honest people we have come into contact with running cross country. He took a look at the truck found the problem and referred us to another since they don't do that work. He never charged us, he went above a beyond to ensure the driver was topped off before being sent off to the next destination. It's hard to find trustworthy people in this industry when you are just passing through. I would use them anytime I am traveling through and highly recommend them to anyone else with problems and a need of towing. Thinking I was going to need a tow to another shop in Denver, I found their price more affordable by far ($700 difference) than any of the others I called. We got a flat tire on our way out of Breckenridge on a Sunday afternoon. There was no tire repair shop open so we called Ski Country Auto Repair and Towing. They were only open for towing on Sundays but nicely offered to help look at the tire. They weren’t able to fix the tire but quickly put on our spare. So nice and great customer service!

These guys were very helpful and honest. They wouldn't even take a $20 for scanning our vehicle's codes because they weren't sure what the problem might be. We had some issues with our car running lean and were worried there might have been some more serious issues with the catalytic converter. Long story short, they probably saved us $6,000 in unnecessary repairs. If my vehicle ever needs work in Summit county, I'd go here every time.

Came out to Breck for some skiing and the Turo rental had a leaking tire due to a nail. Bonnie and Dave were awesome. I was able to chat with Bonnie in the early morning on a Sunday and Dave was able to patch the tire same day. Outstanding service and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!

Clutch went out as I was leaving Copper. I gave them a call based on reviews, which I now see are earned. Tow arrived quickly and driver was great. Josh and the team were communicative and transparent throughout and talked me through different options for repairs / replacements. Definitely would recommend!

There are places other places to get my vehicles serviced closer to my home than Ski Country Auto. There is one simple reason why I go out of my way to give my business—service. Last spring we were out in California in our 3/4 ton truck and slide in camper BC skiing off of mountain passes in the Sierras. While driving down some of those roads my truck’s brakes began to squeak so badly I was tempted to go to any shop I could find to see if I needed new brake shoes. But my fear was a shop, I never had been to out of state, would simple say, ‘Of course you do!’ whether I needed them or not. Then I remember that a few months earlier I had an oil change and my tires rotated at Ski Country Auto. I decided to call to see if there was any record of the health of my brake shoes from that visit. It was Friday afternoon and because of the time change Ski Country was closed. I left a message asking if I should go to a shop and have my brakes checked. We went skiing the next day but when we finally got cell service there was a message from ski country saying that only a few months earlier my brakes had around 70% of life left in the pads. They suggested, before I do anything I should see if there was dirt on my rotors and that I should spray my wheels at a car wash. I did that and I’ve driven a couple thousand more miles without a squeak. Now to be clear, they returned my call within about 12 hours ON A WEEKEND. That is what I call GREAT SERVICE!!!

Steve came to our rescue as we were traveling across the Colorado mountains and locked ourselves out of our truck. We had a classic Harley strapped in the bed of the truck and Steve was knowledgable, capable and able to tow us to a dealership, Harley and all. He was careful, making sure the Harley was properly secured and went above and beyond in troubleshooting for us. We felt confident in his expertise and know-how. I was a bit worried about my car as I had hit something on I-70. Josh was quick to get me in the next day and they even gave me a ride to work! Reasonable pricing as well. Super nice and knowledgeable people who know what they're doing when it comes to cars! I will be back!

Excellent, fast service from a locally-owned shop. We hit a massive pothole while passing through Frisco on I-70 and Pavel squeezed us in for some pretty serious work. Their time and cost estimates were both reasonable and accurate, and they got us back on the road within a day. Excellent service by an extremely competent and calming professional! “D” came to our rescue when our car broke down and we were stranded on the shoulder of I-70 on a very busy Sunday afternoon in Summit County. Needless to say, it was a very stressful moment with 18 wheelers barreling by us at high speeds. D arrived as promised and safely loaded our vehicle onto the flatbed truck. Then safely took both the car and us to the dealer in our home community 90+ miles away. His pleasant personality and professional skills were so appreciated. I was given an estimate by a front range dealer for a repair on my 2017 Tacoma. Having lower mileage, it was going to be a surprise major repair. I went to Ski Country for a second opinion. Comparing the two experiences, Ski Country was very professional, communicated clearly on the issue and did a deeper dive on the problem. The end result was Ski Country advised me to go back to the dealer for the repair, losing out on a potential $9k repair. I have a great deal of respect for that.

I’ve had a stripped, rusted screw that’s kept me from replacing my (nearly expired) license plates for two months. After trying everything with no success, Steve so kindly fixed me right up in 5 minutes and was so kind. Can’t recommend these guys enough!

Was passing through and they were able to sneak me in to repair a flat in my rental car. While I was waiting I watched their internal interaction about customers and their cars as well as the direct interaction with customers. While on vacation, my husband and I had a flat tire. Ski Country Auto Repair came to our rental home, changed our flat and put on a spare. We drove it to their shop where they put on a new tire. They also fixed the alignment and showed us an issue with another tire. We are so thankful they went above and beyond what they were asked to do because they potentially helped us avoid future troubles on the road. Staff was friendly and helpful. My wife and I use these guys for all of our auto repair needs. They are honest and do quality work. Josh and the service advisors are good people, and take the time to explain how the car works, and gives honest advice like "these tires will get you through the summer" and that sort of thing. 5 star service. I took my car to another shop over in Silverthorne first and it cost me $1500 to not have my problem resolved. I took my car to Ski Country once I got it back from the first shop(very bad) and I immediately knew I was in good hands after talking with Josh about my issues and him being extremely knowledgeable on what the possible problem might have been. Because there was no code being stored or thrown, it took a little longer than normal to diagnose but that is completely understandable. Within 3 days they had pinpointed what the possible issue may have been. They ordered the part and it was installed on the same day that it arrived. This resolved my issue and has allowed my car to consistently start. I highly recommend their services as you are guaranteed quality all across the board. Don’t waste your time or money with any other auto repair shops in Summit County, go to Ski Country.

These guys are champions of helping out front range losers like me, awash in despair and abandoned by wifi on I-70. Jack the driver was an amazing dude and an amazing help. Their phone operator was professional and polite, and she helped me get connected with a tow truck for a great price and time estimate. Jack got my Jeep loaded up and off to a mechanic with no worries to my car, and was just as unstressed on the drop off. Super pro and was impressed at the skill of getting a flatbed back into a mountain driveway, then unloading on a slope with no problem. Great price, normally readily available within range, and awesome people. Would recommend for all your mountain towing needs.

These guys quickly rescued me off the side of the road when I blew 2 tires hitting a boulder. They then talked my partner through some good tire options, ordered me 4 new tires and a rim, and installed them quickly. Much better experience than I have had at local tire shops.

My 2010 3.6r outback overheated on the westbound pass, I used my AAA tow to get to Ski Country Auto Repair. They got me in and out same day with a quick service to my cooling system. They were completely with the program as far as getting me back on the road ASAP. I was thrilled that I wouldn't have to drop cash on a hotel. They could have held me up for another day taking care of their suggested additional services while I dropped money at the hotel, but they understood my situation and got me confidently back on the road same-day. I was charged fairly, never felt like I was being taken advantage of, and got to speak at-length with my technician about the issue and future maintenance once I finished traveling. Made a tough situation as painless as possible. My tow driver also had a vehicle being serviced there, so that's a good sign.

Our truck was in a tough spot. After a crazy storm that left the road nearly impassable. The highway patrol wasn't confident Jerry could get the truck out. But only did he get it out, but with no damage to the truck. He was great to work with. Jerry is the best in the business. Thank you.

I had a grinding noise upon braking. My other mechanic said everything was fine. Ski country diagnosed the problem as front brake pads and rotors. Changed them. GRINDING NOISE IS GONE😀

My girlfriend and Rented a Truck from a local company in CA. and was Driving 2 Lakewood Colorado until we were run off the Highway and into a ditch off the 70 frwy. It could of and should of been alot worse,God Blessed us with No Injuries. Ski Country Towing and Auto Repair Dispatched a Tow Truck 2 our Location. We had already been taken into town 2 arainge Lodging 4 the Remainder of the Night. Scott (Tow Truck Driver) was Great, Beginning with him Driving 2 our Hotel in Eagle Co. 2 pick up the keys 4 the Truck we were Driving, but his Professionalism and work ethics did not stop there.The next 3 Days were Hell ! ! Had it not been 4 Scott working with me (texting,back and forth communication etc.etc. from time of accident 2 arriving back 2 California via Greyhound ) I don't know what would of Happened. Had them verify another shop's diagnosis on my 100 series Landcruiser. They did a full review of the "issue" and found nothing wrong. After a thorough inspection they identified a couple ares of concern that they advised I could do myself. Super thorough, clearly knowledgable, and happy to explain everything in detail. They've earned my business, I'll be back to them for any future needs I can't do myself!

Ski County is my local garage in Summit County for everything from oil changes to major repairs. Josh, Jeff, Ryan, and everyone else there are great. I have taken my Land Cruiser in to them a couple times and they are thorough, professional, and communicative. I got everything fixed and for the couple days they had my truck waiting on a part, they let me use their loaner vehicle which was a life saver.

Mike was the real MVP during our trip to Denver. We had quite a nasty accident, and he took care of us from start to finish. The truck who hit us was incredibly uncooperative, but Mike help us coordinate with the State Patrol to tell the truck driver where to go. Mike let us wait in his truck and told us exactly what happened, even correctly predicted that the truck driver would get a citation for a defective vehicle. I wish all towing companies were like this one, and I wish all people were like Mike! Can't speak highly enough of him. My only piece of feedback is that Mike should have been wearing a halo because he was literally our guardian angel!

Outstanding! I was in a real pickle in the middle of a trip. I had a flat "run flat" tire and there were no replacement tires available anywhere nearby. Josh guided me through a difficult decision making process to a solution. He also saved me well over $200. The repair was easy and convenient. Eric, the technician was also great, answering my many questions and doing a good job. In this age of so much disappointment with how we are treated by businesses, this place really stands out. I rolled into town and knew I had a slow leak in a tire. I’m 1,000 miles from home, I nursed it to get here. I tried another tire shop but they told me they couldn’t take a look until late afternoon (it was as morning) and they recommended I try Ski Country. They were very helpful! I had a nail in my tire that could not be patched. I called Ski Country Auto & Towing after 5:00 pm. They helped to get a tire there the next day, replace it, and get me on the road again in a few hours. So helpful!! They also helped me the next day when I needed to follow up and file a claim for Road Hazard Warranty. They called the company and gave them all the details needed so I could file a claim. Sooo helpful and would definitely recommend.

My family was on vacation in CO and I discovered a metal object in my tire that was causing a slow leak. I called around to at least 8 different places to try to get it repaired and no one could fit me in. One of the places I called told me to give Ski Country a call! Best recommendation ever!! They were able to squeeze me in and get my tire patched up with no problems!! Everyone was so nice and I even got to hang out with some cute doggos while waiting!!

We rolled into Summit County, CO on the first day of our vacation. My right front brake was making a grinding noise so I took it to Ski Country Auto Repair. Josh said the brakes would be inspected, but suspected that it needed pads and/or rotors. He ordered the parts from Denver that would be there the next day. If the car required those repairs, it would be costly. After doing a thorough inspection the next day, they found the brake pads and rotors were good, and that it probably a rock that got lodged in the brakes. I was only charged for an inspection that covered all components of the car. Josh was great and I appreciated his response to work me into an already busy schedule. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again.

Scott was the absolute best. I must have picked up a nail somewhere after Salt Lake City because by the time I reached Frisco my tire was over it. Stayed at the Ramada next door and in the morning called Ski Country. They got me in right away and patched the tire, taking the time to explain how they did it as well (which I greatly appreciated). The whole team was friendly and quick. I feel so lucky to have come across them in my time of need, they truly delivered!
