I went to Dr Abbasi because my PT recommended him. I had knee pain that the PT helped at first but then my knee got so bad that I couldn’t walk without a cane one day. The pain came and went. Dr Abbasi ordered an MRI which showed a bone bruise and meniscus injury. He recommended PRP. He has a lot of experience in this area with athletes. I decided to give it a try and it worked for me. It is 6 weeks and it is rare that I have any pain and if I do it is just a twinge that goes away quickly. PRP has almost no risk since it is your own blood that is injected into your knee. Unfortunately it is not covered by insurance. It was about $1,500. The front desk people and his assistants are particularly nice.

I am so grateful for Dr. Abassi’s expertise and experience with ACL reconstruction surgery. I was lucky to be able to have the BEAR procedure, and while I’m not quite completely out of the woods and cleared to return to normal activity, I’m quite close as I approach the 9 month post-surgery mark in a couple weeks. His attentiveness along the roads of both post-injury and post-surgery was exceptional, as were his explanations of my limitations at all stages of recovery. Moreover, his guidance about what I could and couldn’t do, and how best to do things in such a way that protected the surgical repair and allowed it the time and conditions it needed to heal properly was invaluable to the completeness of my recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Abassi to anyone who suffered a blunt force ACL knee injury like I did.

Went to see the doc with crippling knee pain. Unable to play basketball or barely walk some days. Fist visit did some X-rays and went over some treatment options, got the treatment and was back to playing basketball within weeks! Doc is very knowledgeable, personable and truly cares. Hello my name is Otto Stacey and Dr. Abassi performed Tommy John surgery in November 2017. A little background: I am a baseball player, more specifically a pitcher; tearing my UCL kind of like breaking my throwing bone. Back in 2017 I tore my UCL which is the ligament that connects the Ulna to the Humerus. It was my senior year in high school and it was the most important part of my career at the time i had recently topped out at 90mph and had colleges looking at me. Tearing my UCL changed that because the colleges that were looking at me, were not looking at me as seriously and some of them not even at all anymore. After getting my MRI and coming to terms that either I undergo Tommy John or never play baseball again. I was recommended Dr. Abassi through my general health care and he took a look at my MRI, came in the room and knew the deal. He explained and cleared up everything i had read on the internet, told me exactly what he was going to do, (which entailed extra benefits that I had heard only BIG D1 players and professional players get), and i was under the knife in under two weeks. I honestly could not have asked for more. He promptly saw me afterwards and waited until the drugs wore off, explained what I had to do until my next visit, and I was on my way. None of my post visits were ever postponed and all of them had the same interest and care that he had the day of the surgery. The following months were hard but with the help of Dr. Abassi and his team I was able to overcome my injury and I have recently reached 94mph off the mound and played a season at Blinn junior college and am now attending North Central Texas College hoping to get signed D1!! The only bad thing I have to say is that he did too good of a job! Almost 3 years after my surgery and my scar is barely even there! It used to be a good obvious conversation piece but now when it’s brought up I really have to show people! Overall 11/10 and if i had to do it i would do it again hopefully with Dr. Abassi!! Update: All of the above is still true, just updating to add that even after years he still remembers my operation and me, and truly takes care of his patients. And to demonstrate his value of it weren’t for him I would be in thousands of dollars in student debt had he not been able to operate successfully, not only did he save my athletic career but my financial wellbeing as well.

I saw Dr Abbasi a few years back about a shoulder injury I had. He was very informative and helpful on my injury. He sent me to get a MRI to see the how bad was injury was. He got the result and told me all I needed PT no surgery need (thank god). Followed the De Abbasi and got physical therapy on my shoulder and it feels great. I highly recommend Dr Abbasi for any type of sport injuries. He’s also very knowledgeable when it comes to fighter injuries. It was truly a pleasure going to his clinic.

The best cortisone shot I’ve ever had. I’m terrified of needles and have had plenty of injections that left me in tears. Dr. Abassi gave me the shot in my shoulder and I didn’t feel anything. He is the best!

I had a major full tear in my pec tendon, went and saw Dr. Abbasi and he scheduled my surgery two weeks sooner than another doctor in the area. I met Dr. Abbasi after rupturing both my patellar tendon and triceps tendon in a serious fall. Being a long-time athlete, I was devastated at the thought of never being able to train again. After being looked at by other doctors no one could tell me why my arm was going numb. In very short order Dr Abbasi diagnosed the problem was with my neck, not my arm and even before an mri was done. I will definitely be seeing him for all my orthopedic needs.

I'm 4.5 months out for and ACL reconstruction and had both meniscus repair. I decided to use my quad tendon graft. I am a 30 year old female athlete and already approved by my PT to start to run again :) This was my first surgery. Dr. Abbasi made me feel very comfortable. He explained what was going on. He showed what he could see in the MRI and that there might be more to fix in surgery. He explained my options, answered all the questions I had, and helped me come to a conclusion on what the best surgery would be for me. Overall the surgery went well. I had very little swelling and minimal scars minimal scars. The after surgery directions were a bit confusing. I didn't know if I could take the brace or the compression stocking's off off at all. And I was very worried about infections. But it all worked out fine. I was also a bit confused about how long I needed crutches. But that may have been because of my PT's input too. Follow up appointments went very well. Dr. Abbasi is very personable and cares about your needs. He takes time to answer your questions and address your concerns. Overall I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Abbasi.

I tore my meniscus on my right knee. Dr. Abbasi fixed it right up. Had a bit of trouble during PT and he knew just what to do to get it moving again. Now it's like a new knee. Surgery center, office, and PT are all in same place - great location.

I had shoulder surgery August 2021, Dr. Abbasi did a fabulous job! I had a "sampler platter" of injuries that needed attention. I also did the PRP injection and I believe that helped immensely with the healing process. I am thankful for having Dr. Abbasi do the surgery, his experience and confidence are welcomed in the time in which we live. I was very concerned with my situation, torn ligament in my left forearm ( radius) right before the holidays.. saw Dr A early December and he push so hard and pulled miracles to get the mri, ex rays, primary doc release, cardiologist release etc…. Got everything within a week! Surgery set for January 4th but fate had a different outlook.. I could make the appointment because of a positive Covid test! Rescheduled for January 20th, and surgery went better than I expected.. I’m almost 60 years of age. The time between the tear and the procedure is important .. I had the expected discomfort but healed within record time.. the physical therapist were in awe, as was I, at how fast I recovered. As of the end of March, I was given full release, and have 90% of my strength back! Scare is unnoticeable! I can’t thank him enough!! Thank you Dr Agassi!

I had right shoulder surgery done by Dr. Abbasi 1 month ago. The results have been amazing. I am 64 with a lot of arthritic changes and he was able to relieve a lot of my shoulder discomfort. He is very nice and really seems to listen. I would recommend him for shoulder issues. The surgical center where he works is great also. Not hospital based. Very private.

You want Dr. Abassi to help you with your shoulder! He’s quite the surgical artist! I’m no spring chicken and he was honest and up front about the possibility of being able to retrieve a tendon and somehow reattach it, and the alternative if he couldn’t. Yes, of course I prepared for the worst! Ultimately he did a “massive” (his word) amount of work–retrieved that tendon and discovered 2 others that were completely torn. In other words, he ended up totally rebuilding the rotator cuff of my dominant arm! Now it’s nearly 7 months later, and I am thrilled with the result! The physical therapy folks at OCPBC are also great, and I did my best to completely “stick with the program”. Wow. I’m not yet up to full strength, but am able to do things pain-free that I haven’t been able to do in ... years. Go see Dr. Abassi–you’ll be glad you did!

I don't write reviews, but I have to make an exception for Dr. Abassi. He performed right shoulder surgery that involved torn biceps, rotator cuff and A/C joint. Prior to the operation, I could barely lift my right arm. Now, 12 weeks after my surgery, I am able to shoot basketball with my grandson, and throw him some passes during halftime of the Dolphin games. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Abassi to anyone, and would give him six stars if I could. I can't thank him enough for his professionalism, and his genuine caring for his patients.

Dr. Abbasi is one of a kind! I brought my son to see him at the end of summer baseball for pain in his elbow. My son really thought that he was going to hear that he needed to simply rest the arm for a few weeks and he'd be as good as new. Unfortunately, after an MRI Dr. Abbasi informed us that my son had an avulsion fracture in his elbow. Dr. Abbasi was so compassionate and talked us through the options we had and really listened to my son's primary desire to be well enough to play spring ball (as he was entering into his senior year of high school). After considering the options we decided to take the more conservative approach of PRP (platelet rich plasma) injection and then casting of my son's arm. I am happy to say that it was a huge success!! My son has worked his way back to throwing again at 100% and is pain free! Words don't describe well enough how happy we are with the results we experienced with Dr. Abbasi. We would highly recommend him to anyone in need of an amazing doctor willing to take the time to discuss options with you and come up with the best plan of care for your individualized situation. Wow..... I have so much to write but limited to Google Review guidelines. I really do not know where to start. I am a retired Oral Surgeon and have high expectations of my doctors. Dr Abbasi exceeded ALL of my expectations. His knowledge, skill and expertise is secondary to his compassion, care and respect of his patients. It reminds me of the "Ole Time Dr" attitude of actually caring for their patients. Remember the day when Dr actually listened, took time and had eye contact while truly caring about their patients... Dr Abbasi has it all. I was ready to have my shoulder cut on but he took the more conservative approach with PRP injection as our first choice ......AND IT WORKED. He is not knife happy or money hungry but caring, compassionate while being incredibly talented in his profession. In my 60+ years of life, rarely do you find a Doctor like Dr Abbasi. Do yourself a favor and let him show you his magic while treating you like an actual patient and not a number.

Absolutely thrilled with the outcome of my surgery performed on 9/8/2020 by Dr. Abbasi. Here is a short story leading up to surgery but one that people need to be aware of. I was in much pain with my rotor cuff, had an MRI & went to a surgeon in Delray Beach who told me, from the MRI, that it could not be repaired so he will just replace the shoulder. He's the surgeon so who am I do doubt his word right?? So I scheduled the surgery preparing to have my shoulder replaced. I decided to go for a second opinion and on the next day I saw Dr. Rosenfield, who did not know he was my second opinion, and he told me I absolutely did not need a shoulder replacement and suggested that I see his colleague about a somewhat new surgical procedure that he was not not trained to perform. Who does that? An ethical professional who cares about the patient and not just the money that's who. Feeling very comfortable with his opinion I was able to schedule an appointment within the same office with Dr. Abbasi for the next day who spent an appropriate amount of time with me explaining what my MRI was showing, what my options where and what the new procedure called a Superior Capsular Reconstruction was all about. He made sure that before I left his office that I was completely comfortable with what was going to happen and that I fully understood how the procedure works and what the procedure was going to accomplish, even drawing a diagram so I could visibly see what he was talking about. He also said that if he was able, only knowing while I was in surgery, he would repair the rotor cuff instead. I cancelled the surgery with the 1st doctor and scheduled surgery with Dr. Abbasi. Turns out that after hours in the OR, he was able to repair not only my rotor cuff but many other tears he saw as well, bicep, labrum, supraspinatus, etc. 3 post -op visits and 9 weeks out and I have had no pain since surgery, physical therapy is going well, range of motion is increasing daily and oh did I tell you I am in no pain and need no pain killers?? I am truly blessed that I listened to my gut and found you. I have more options then I did before. Thank you Dr. Abbasi. Spoiler alert...the 1st surgeon never called to ask why I cancelled surgery. Listen to your gut, don't let anyone dictate what is going to happen, speak up and look out for yourself. Good Luck!!

The surgery was quick, my scars are extremely small and i have GREAT range of motion in my shoulderin just 7 weeks ! I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to preform this surgery on me! On September the 5th, I tore my pectoralis major tendon while bench-pressing in the gym. The experience was miserable. Although the pain was minimal, psychologically, I was in in a funk for several days. Having never experienced an injury before lifting for 5+ years, I felt like I was in a near grieving state mentally and my lifting future seemed very uncertain to me. My goal was to find an orthopedic surgeon who understands what lifting means to me and how much of my life was built around an active lifestyle. I have no interest in sitting around and playing video games. Every hobby I have is active and I expect a lot out of my body. I was worried that whoever gave me a consultation would tell me to avoid lifting heavy or put fear into me about what activities I could partake in going forward. I received my MRI results and visited with Dr Abbasi at Orthopedic Center of Palm Beach County on September the 14th. After the initial consultation, I felt much more comfortable and confident in the process. He explained what went wrong, how this was a common injury in athletic activity, his experience and technique for repairing this issue, and how the repair is strong enough that I would be able to return to 100% form and activity in the future (including benching). I went in for surgery on September the 22nd. It was my first ever surgery and the staff, including Dr Abbasi, did a great job of making me feel comfortable. As soon as the surgery was complete, Dr Abbasi personally called my wife to inform her that it went well and that I was fine and awake. The experience of getting injured is never fun, but this staff and Dr Abbasi have been a huge contributing factor to my ability to maintain a positive attitude and stay very optimistic about the future. I am now 4 weeks post-surgery, pain free, and feeling great. I am determined to return to form and this orthopedic surgeon and staff have given me the opportunity to do so. I would recommend Dr Abbasi and this staff to anyone.

I was extraordinarily concerned that at 47, a knee injury was going to slow me down. I play in a band, study martial arts and love the outdoors. Getting the news that I had blown my ACL, torn both meniscus and tore my MCL left me feeling like my prospects were pretty bleak. Dr. Abbasi fixed me up and a year later and Im back in action. I was playing drums within 6-8 months, back to the mats in Jiu Jitsu at about 10 months, and celebrating one year by hiking in Colorado next week. It genuinely felt like he gave me back some of the most important things that I enjoy in life. Cant thank him enough!

First met Dr. Abbasi about a year ago for a knee issue. He suspected a torn meniscus - that was confirmed by an MRI. I'm very active and didn't want to rush into surgery / With sound advise and top notch care he managed my condition perfectly right up to my arthroscopic surgery 2 weeks ago. The pain I had is gone - rehab has been going great - could not be happier with the outcome. A skilled surgeon and a really nice guy!

I’ve known Dr. David Abbasi for two years prior to actually needing his services. He came recommened to me by a friend who is an MMA fighter and has needed his services over the years. When I tore my ACL in late 2017, Dr. Abbasi recommened ACL Reconstructive Surgery. I had the surgery January 2018... from up front pricing, pre-op care, Operation and Post-Op care he and his staff were top notch. I’d recommend Dr. Abbasi to anyone, top notch surgeon.

Dr. David Abbasi took excellent care of me before, during and after meniscus surgery. At my first appointment he showed compassion and concern that I had been in pain for six months. I was so thankful that he understood how much pain I was in. The surgery went very well, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. I had minimal bruising and the pain level is down substantially even just shortly after the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Abbasi. He's an exceptional doctor with a great bedside manner.

Dr. Abbasi and his physical therapy team at the Ironman Memorial Hermann (IMMH) at The Woodlands helped me recover 99% on a rotator cuff injury. My story is one of what I thought was a botched first surgery. I had rotator cuff surgery with a different surgeon at a different facility. At 6 months post surgery I was still in pain and my original surgeon referred me Dr. Abbasi. Even though I had been in PT at a different facility, Abbasi insisted that I first switch to the IMMH facility to regain the majority of my missing range of motion. With the increased range of motion I was still in a fair bit of pain so he ordered a new MRI to see what was going on. MRI showed a possible tear in the rotator cuff but it was not clear enough to know with out surgery. Abbasi left the decision up to me if I was happy with the range of motion and level of pain or surgery. I held off for about 6 months before deciding to go to surgery. Post surgery I was told that there was no tears in the rotator cuff and that the previous surgery was still fully intact and that all of my pain was a result of a lot of scar tissue. This proved that the previous surgeon was not to blame for the pain and lack of range of motion. Abbasi cleaned all of the scar tissue and preformed a bicep tenodesis. He stated that the bicep tendon was inflaming the rotator cuff and likely cause of the pain. The pain caused me to not use my shoulder allowing the scar tissue to form. Post surgery I was in PT at IMMH 4 days after surgery and with in 3 months I was lifting light weights over head with 80% range of motion. I was discharged from PT at 4 months. At 6 months post surgery I was lifting heavy weight (55# dumb bells) over head with 99% range of motion and no discomfort from the activity. I do still have a little discomfort in the mornings if I sleep wrong on my shoulder, but other than that I finally feel great.

Dr. Abbasi and his whole staff did a fantastic job on my knee (ACL and Meniscus). My knee is stronger than ever and I'll be back doing the things I love to do!! I highly recommend him and his staff. Super professional and made the whole process seamless as well as easy!!

Dr. David B. Abbasi, MD. - Saved my husband's life! Listen to your body! My husband thought he had a pinched nerve in his bicep - long story short ... Dr. Abbasi found a cancerous tumor in his arm, it originated in his kidney! Dr. Abbasi asked the right questions, requested X-Rays, MRI and his expertise along with having the right resources within Memorial Hermann facilities were spot on and able to quickly setup biopsy and rushed all services to treat his cancer. My husband is now a patient at MD Anderson. DR. ABBASI SAVED MY HUSBAND'S LIFE!

Dr. Abbas is a phenomenal doctor! Within 2 weeks of seeing him for the first time about my shoulder pain, I had an MRI and surgery scheduled for the next week. I had a tear all the way across my labrum which is what Dr. Abbasi had suggested was the problem when he first saw me (before the MRI). My surgery was over a week ago and my shoulder is already feeling better than it did before. The Iron man clinic has a great team of physicians and physical therapists that communicate well and make sure you're getting the treatment you need.

A phenomenal physician who listens to his patients, and has their best interest at heart in prescribing treatment! I owe him a debt of gratitude...he keeps me mobile to keep fighting oil well fires.

Dr. Abbasi and staff are super nice.. I came to them with a torn meniscus in my right knee on July 5, 2016. Needless to say I had to have surgery and everything went well.. September 5,2017 my left knee started doing the same thing falling limp,(this is due to my illnesses). I called Dr. Abbasi staff needless to say I had to have surgery again. He explained to me the same procedure will take place. I am so grateful for Dr. Abbasi for doing both of my surgeries.. He is really a nice doctor who takes the time to explain everything.. I will recommend him to any of my friends and family if needed to be..

I’m not normally the one to usually go to a doctor for anything, especially if I can avoid an unnecessary surgery with time off or rehab. However, after sometime of walking with a limp due to a sports related injury I went to see Dr. David Abbasi. He had done similar surgeries for friends at my gym with a lot of success and my surgery was no different. Because this was my first time needing surgery I was skeptical on what all was necessary. Both Abbasi and the staff at his office kept me informed throughout the whole process. My recovery was quicker than I could have ever hoped for and they made sure your taken care the whole way through without recklessly letting me go back to train. If anyone has a sports related injury this would be the first place I would tell them to go. I owe these people my knee, and couldn’t be happier about going through with it. Thanks again!
