I was referred to Reactive Physical Therapy by my Foot and Ankle Doctor as I had chipped a bone in my right foot. For approximately
23 year, my left foot had Drop foot.
Foot drop due to paralysis of the tibialis anterior muscle, while the right foot demonstrates the lift of walking motion.
Foot drop is a gait abnormality in which the dropping of the forefoot happens due to weakness, irritation or damage to the deep fibular nerve (deep peroneal), including the sciatic nerve, or paralysis of the muscles in the anterior portion of the lower leg. It is characterized by inability or impaired ability to raise the toes or raise the foot from the ankle (dorsiflexion). My drop foot was permanent, depending on the extent of muscle weakness or paralysis and it can occur in one foot. In walking, the raised leg is slightly bent at the knee to prevent the foot from dragging along the ground.
My Foot drop can be caused by nerve damage alone or by muscle or spinal cord trauma.
I am here to declare the amazing work that Dr. Carley has done with me helping me overcome two bad feet, one broke the other paralyzed for twenty three years. Atrophy In my left leg of -3” compared to my right leg.
I am trilled with the time, effort, knowledge and professionalism
by Dr Joseph Carley and assistant Monica in assisting me .
It has been a miracle as far as I am concerned that not only the pain is being removed, I am regaling use of my foot and leg.
I see muscle rebuilding where there was none. I call those rebuilt muscles my Popeyes. So exciting. Please if you need physical therapy, I highly recommend “Reactive” to seek professional help.
Recovery can be yours too!
