Best place in Sanur What an amazing place ! Sumitra is next level resort in a quiet part of Sanur but a beachside walk to shops and cafes. Staff were brilliant and were super attentive. Rooms spotlessly clean and food especially breakfast amazing !

Amazing experience on first trip to Bali For our first trip to Bali we could not have chosen a better place to stay. The resort is beautiful and in a great location right on the beach near a long sidewalk, the spa was wonderfully relaxing, and the staff was incredibly friendly - everyone, all the time. We rented a villa with pool - it was spacious & clean, and butler service responded immediately to every request. Thank you Yogi, Oka, and Leo!! And despite being a resort, the prices were incredibly reasonable; we had no concerns eating at restaurant or ordering room service (food was delicious too!).

A beautiful hotel, stunning location and wonderful staff This was our first time in Bali and our first stay in Sumatra Luxury Villas and resort but we hope to visit again. The service was excellent- with particular thanks to Yogi, Oka, Eva and Adi. Our room was beautiful and spacious with sea views and the restaurant, pool and location were all beyond our expectations. Spoilt rotten We had the most amazing stay. We were spoilt non stop by the beautiful staff. Everyone bent over backwards, they even prepared for us a beautiful flower bath when we returned after a full day out. So luxurious The place is absolutely spotless. Staff superb.

Exceptional 😍 This hotel is outstanding in every way. The position, the rooms, hotel grounds, food and staff were exceptional. More importantly, the staff supported us through a difficult time when our flights were constantly getting cancelled and we had to repeatedly rebook the room. The staff were polite, respectful and kind, just lovely human beings who made a terrible situation tolerable. I had a few mosquito bites ( probably not hotel related) ..the staff in the evening plugged mosquito repellent in the room which l though was a lovely act of caring/ kindness. If we are lucky enough to visit Bali again this hotel would be first choice. Thank you 😍

Wonderful stay in Sanur We had a wonderful stay at Sumitra Villas. We were in a garden view room, they initially had us on the ground floor but we had wanted something higher up (as the outdoor area was a bit exposed to the path running behind the villas), and they were able to move us up to level three with a minimum of fuss. The room was lovely, and had a nice view across to the garden next door. Breakfast was fantastic, served à la carte and not a buffet as you often get, but you can order as much as you’d like with plenty of variety. They also provide an afternoon tea which was extremely welcome after a hard day relaxing by the beautiful pool, or winding your way along the lazy river. The villa is located at the southern end of the sanur promenade, with bikes supplied so you can explore easily if walking isn’t for you. We were able to find lots of wonderful eateries within walking distance.

Sorpresa bellissima Con mia moglie veniamo ogni anno a Bali da quasi 20 anni. Siamo stati in tanti hotel diversi nel corso degli anni e quest’anno per la prima volta al Sumitra. Ci siamo fidati dei commenti su booking e abbiamo deciso di provare. Sicuramente nella nostra top 3 degli hotel più belli! Abbiamo prolungato la nostra permanenza talmente siamo stati bene. Hotel ideale per chi cerca la tranquillità. L’hotel è molto recente e tenuto benissimo. Bellissima tutta la zona verde intorno all’hotel. Il personale è veramente super competente e disponibile. Sei accolto come in famiglia e ti senti coccolato durante tutto il soggiorno. Le stanze sono moderne, ampie e molto spaziose. La pulizia impeccabile. Avete già notato che abbiamo dato un bel voto a cena e a pranzo! La colazione è abbondante e di ottima qualità con tanta scelta di frutta tropicale da provare. Il punto di forza è la piscina, abbiamo frequentato diverse volte quella degli adulti che è molto rilassante. C’è anche la la Lazy River, una grande piscina dove ci si può lasciare trasportare dal corso d’acqua. L’hotel è molto adatto sia a coppie che a famiglie. Non vediamo l’ora di tornare l’anno prossimo!

The restaurant consistently served delicious, high-quality meals with great variety, making every breakfast, lunch, and dinner something to look forward to. What really makes Sumitra Resort special, though, is the people. The staff were amazing at every level— from the warm welcome when we arrived to the attentive pool attendants, friendly restaurant team, meticulous cleaning staff, and the professional managers who clearly ensure everything runs perfectly. Hidden Gem in Sanur Stayed here with my wife towards the end of our honeymoon and had an amazing experience. The hotel provided all the amenities we required and had fun in the lazy river pool. Located right along the shore of Sanur, means we can ride a bike from the hotel to other places within Sanur which enhanced the experience. Food and beverages offered in the hotel also justify the 5 star rating. We dined on premise twice and appreciated it each time. The hotel also serve decent coffee which is always welcomed. But the reviews won’t be complete without mentioning the staffs which really elevated our experience with their friendliness and attentiveness to your needs. Quite convenient that you can speak to staffs via WhatsApp.

Easily one of the few best resorts in Sanur, Bali We spent 4 nights 25/02 to 1/03/2026 at the resort and have fallen in love with it. The resort is situated in the heart of Sanur, beach-front and the view from our suite is just stunning. It is in walking distance to everything Sanur has, from hidden laneways with historic temples or many cafes and restos, to beach walk. Suites are modern, very clean and spacious over 100m2 for 1 bedroom suite with 2 beachfront balconies. Staff at front desk, at restaurant, even maintenance crew are all very friendly and well-trained, yet showed lots of kind acts to guests. They learnt about my birthday upon my check-in, and made such a special treat for me with a surprise little cake & we all sang birthday together. Thank-you all again so much, to the restaurant manager -I didn’t remember his name :(, to Leo and Eka at the reception😍, to the restaurant chef and restaurant staff (I remember Ode, but other staff are all so gorgeous:)), Desha in housekeeping, who have given us your best care. I should mention the food, so exquisite and scrumptious, to the best quality 😋😋either breakfast or diner, a meal or a drink. We highly recommend the resort, for all different reasons: the view, the quality facilities, the food, and best of all - the service that the beautiful staff provide, they all deserve the better life. Een klein paradijsje in Sanur!!🌺 Sumitra Luxury Villas is echt in 1 woord fantastisch!! Het resort is prachtig gelegen direct aan zee. Het is heel mooi opgezet en vol groene planten. Het is super schoon, netjes en het personeel is super betrokken en geeft veel aandacht. Ze denken met alles mee en hebben veel persoonlijke aandacht. De kamers zijn super mooi en verzorgd. Het resort is niet heel groot, waar ik persoonlijk heel erg van houd. Het is echt een klein paradijsje, waar ik zeker terug ga komen!! Echt een aanrader!! Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made our entire stay unforgettable. Because of them, this was not just a hotel stay — it was a deeply touching experience for our whole family. From the moment we arrived — even though we got there earlier than the official check-in time — the team(Gita, Toto, Adi) made every effort to prepare and assign our rooms as quickly as possible. We were traveling as a group of 10 with a significant amount of luggage, yet the staff handled every single bag with exceptional care and attention. Not once did we feel rushed or like a burden. Their patience and thoughtfulness were evident in every interaction. The rooms themselves were absolutely outstanding. They were incredibly clean, spacious, comfortable, and luxurious. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed, and all facilities were exceptionally well maintained. It was clear that the hotel takes great pride in keeping everything in pristine condition. Throughout our stay, whenever we had questions or needed assistance, the staff were always proactive and eager to help. What impressed us most was that they didn’t just respond when asked — they consistently checked in first to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Every single employee we encountered was genuinely kind and attentive. One of the most touching moments happened when my mother was suffering from Bali Belly and was having a very difficult time eating. We asked whether it might be possible to prepare plain white porridge, even though it wasn’t on the menu. The response was immediate and positive — they reassured us that it would absolutely be possible. What moved us even more was that Eka brought the porridge to our room for my mother without even charging us. That level of compassion is something you rarely experience. Our entire family was deeply touched and incredibly grateful. Additionally, when arranging late check-out and airport drop-off, Ika went above and beyond to ensure everything was seamless and stress-free. Their thoughtful coordination allowed us to leave comfortably and without worry. This hotel sets the standard for true hospitality. It’s not just about beautiful facilities — it’s about people who genuinely care. Thanks again to Ika, Toto, Eka, Adi, Gita, and the entire team for delivering a perfect 5-star experience. Great! Amazing resort, well worth the visit, I would think top 2 in Sanur. Staff are amazing, so accomodating and can’t do enough. Food and service 10/10! Only remark I can make is not enough shade around the pool but this is a new resort so give it time for the palms to grow

一次完美的旅行 非常完美，不虚此行！因为带着老人和孩子之前在网站上看了很多酒店，最终选择了这里。最后一晚酒店给了我们一个大大的惊喜，家人非常感动。这次入住了总统套房和海边双卧别墅，总统套房有超级美的风景，我们在里面度过了一个难忘的除夕。海边双卧别墅有超大泳池和超大浴池，游泳后泡个澡很舒服。性价比很高，强烈推荐！我们全家都非常开心！ 这是新建的酒店，位置、设施、服务、卫生、床品、早餐等都无可挑剔，像家一样温暖。房间里每个窗户都是一副美妙的画，早上的日出非常惊艳，房间的隔音很好，晚上的暴雨在房间内一点都听不见。我们每天早上都在8公里的海滩步道上骑行或跑步或做瑜伽，这才是休假该有的样子。去了乌布、乌鲁瓦图、苍古、水明漾，最喜欢沙努尔，优雅美丽又有烟火气。下次来还会住在这里！
