I 10000% recommend Tony.
I was a FTHB who had heard horror stories about realtors. I had planned on trying to house shop without a realtor due to this. But if I hadn't had Tony as a realtor, things would've gone very differently for me. From the beginning, he explained everything to me without condescension or trying to exploit my lack of knowledge. I'm a woman, so I was also worried there'd be some sexist behavior, like women experience at a mechanic/everywhere. I got absolutely none of that from Tony.
Further, I've seen issues with realtors pushing for clients to offer higher prices or otherwise acting unethical to up their payout. Tony was incredibly ethical - happy to take my well-below listing price offers to a seller. He ended up getting all of my closing costs covered and then some + got the house way under listing price. Since it was a builder as the seller, he even got stiffed a bit on the price (he would only be paid out based on the base price without upgrades), yet he still was super patient and supportive and never treated me like I was screwing him over (as I expected from realtors based on those horror stories I've heard). He even pointed out issues with the house in the walkthrough. I used Tony's recommended inspector (he provided several options); again, I had heard horror stories about doing this, but I was too overwhelmed with the short timeline and personal issues that arose around the same time. The inspection report was incredibly thorough. Even the builder's contractor said that the inspection report was the most thorough he had seen and did things he hadn't seen before (like use infrared behind the washer/dryer hook up, if I remember correctly). Prior to this stage, I had asked him if things would be hard to change at resale houses, and Tony was honest when things would be tough/expensive to change or fix. Again, he took 0 advantage of my naivety where houses are concerned.
Then comes the closing nightmare. The title company was shut down due to a hack for >1 week. This was over the holidays. I ended up closing 8 days late with a huge amount of stress in between. Tony made sure we had a hotel to stay in and even got the title company to refund all of my moving costs! The title company, lender, and builder were not helpful or communicative and were flaky, but Tony was persistent to get me answers and assistance. Tony was able to get me access to the garage to store my stuff until closing since I had to move out of my apartment. He came by to see that everything was actually working to plan when we unloaded the truck and again to give me my keys when we finally closed. The title company ended up delivering the closing docs in person to close, and I have no doubt it wouldn't have happened without Tony's persistence.
Post-closing, Tony (and his wonderful partner, Kristian!) has continued to go above and beyond. Tony and Kristian set up a lovely photo shoot so I could have photos with my new house. And they gave an incredibly generous thank you gift and card. I have continued to ask them for tips and recommendations for all things Vegas and house-related.
Know that if you hire Tony as your realtor, you have someone firmly in your court and ready to provide guidance. They're both an absolute pleasure to speak with and come across as extremely genuine, so know that you'll enjoy your time with them as well.
