Wow! All I can say is wow. I came here desperate for help, scared and unsure of my rights. Thankfully I had a great intaker, Steven Perez, who politely answered any and all of my questions in a one hour phone call about my case. I appreciate all the patience and effort he has. I accidentally reached out to this California firm, when I actually live in another state, and instead of just correcting the error and casually moving on, they still took time with me to validate the seriousness of my matter and kindly encouraged me to pursue it with attorneys that do have jurisdiction over it. They even explained that I could reach out to my state bar and request a list of attorneys that way to help me narrow down my search. Adrian was the one who called me, and when I told him that, whoops, actually I’m not in CA anymore, he could have ended the call right there. Instead, he spent a small amount of time with me being friendly, cordial, and kind towards me and my matter. He then sent a follow up email that stated he strongly urged me to consult with other qualified attorneys without delay to ensure my rights were protected. I truly appreciated the reminder of the seriousness of my matter, as well as the encouragement to keep pursuing it. Honestly, these are just top-notch people who work here. This interaction, from start to finish, restored some of my faith in humanity, as some of the attorneys I’ve since reached out to in my current state of residence have failed to meet me and my matter with the same level of interest and compassion. Just one more reason I miss California, but I will definitely be referring any of my friends and family back home to this firm if they are ever in need of any employment law help at all. I've never faced any difficulties when it came to finding a job or dealing with employers, but the injustice I experienced was unacceptable. I was determined to make my voice heard. Initially, I wasn’t familiar with the specific laws that apply to situations like mine, but after connecting with MIA at Blackstone, everything started to make sense. It can be incredibly frustrating not knowing where to turn or who to trust, but reaching out to MIA was a true stroke of luck. Although the process is still ongoing, I’m genuinely grateful to have found someone who truly cares about my case—she’s been attentive and honest, which are two qualities you need when someone is advocating on your behalf. I am a brand new client that just decided to go with Blackstone Law as my attorney. The reason why I went with them is the way I was treated from the start. Katherine listened to my entire story during an intake interview with no judgement and nothing but professionalism. Josh helped answer my many questions and it was the same way. He even connected me with Jeremy the CFO who called me later that day and we talked for almost a half hour. I was floored at the fact that he spent this kind of time with someone who is only a potential client and yet once again, nothing but professionalism and honesty. With my current situation and with all the other law firms I had consultations with regarding my case, I can say that Blackstone was hands down the most transparent and efficient with communication and feeling that they genuinely want to assist me. The person who did my consultation Angie was very empathetic and patient with me during my lengthy consultation. The intake specialist Josh was very enthusiastic, direct and made me feel like Blackstone genuinely wants to help make right of my case against my previous employer. I was so defeated after tireless efforts to hold the organization we worked for accountable for the wildly distasteful and definitely illegal behavior during and even following the pandemic. They put in tons of work and were able to settle this massive case that, I believe, contributed in emboldening the remaining staff at the org to request the resignation of the president the org directly to the board at an all-staff meeting. Almost a year ago I was involved in a car accident. I’m thankful I came across Blackstone Law. Ever since my first consultation I felt like I was finally listened to about my incident. Barbara DuVan-Clarke is THE BEST. After some issues with my, suddenly, former employer, I was shaken. I was at a loss, and I wasn't sure how to advocate for myself and handle my world crashing down around me at the same time. After a severely traumatic experience at a previous employer, I needed to seek guidance from an experienced law firm with a seasoned labor attorney. As I began to call around and explain my situation I was met with frequent "No's" & "I can't help you with that".. I was mentally exhausted after talking to 10 of the most reputable labor law firms in LA. They all kinda brushed me off and said that my case wasn't worth pursing. In other words, it wasn't worth their time if they weren't going to win... My case was extremely complicated and an uphill battle. After a solid year, I had almost given up but then I referred and found Blackstone Law. I was told that Jonathan Genish (Founder/Lead Trial Attorney) was a legal pitbull in the courtroom. However, the attorney who took up my case was Matthew Dietz. If Jonathan was a pitbull, Matthew could be best described as Golden Retriever... Friendly, compassionate, calming, and most of all loyal. These qualities are exactly what I was looking for in an attorney beyond offering legal advice. As I began to lay out my situation with Matthew, I quickly realized that he was probably around my same age and educated in the same circles. He felt like a friend right off the bat who I was confiding into as opposed to someone just listening just to listen. I asked him point blank why he decided to take my case as opposed to all the other attorneys who decided not to. He responded with "I feel like you got screwed and we are going to fight this.." It felt good to hear that. Someone actually fighting for the little guy. The case eventually worked itself out and I'm thankful for Matt's guidance and advice. I still to this day call him whenever I have an issue and he offers his time and advice to him which I thoroughly appreciate. If you're looking for a reputable law firm who actually cares about the well-being of their clients look no further. I hope I never have to utilize their services but then again I'll never shy away from referring them to others or being the 1st place I call if there is an issue.
