We did the 4-day Otago Rail Trail journey from Middlemarch to Clyde and it was absolutely fantastic. The whole experience with SheBikesHeBikes was seamless, they arranged everything from our accommodations to the ebike rentals, which were very well maintained, we felt incredibly cared for and everything was so easy. 100% would recommend SheBikesHeBikes for your Otago adventures.

Shebikeshebikes 16 years strong with a great team of people (hi to Susie, Carol, Tony, Raf, Peter) and mechanics (hi to Matt and Cooper), and the best accommodation organised for our self guided cycle Lake Dunstan Trail, Otago Central Rail Trail, Roxburgh Gorge and Clutha Gold Trail and shuttle back to Queenstown with our bikes. ShebikesHeBikes is a family business , who have been around for a long time . The owner Steve met us and was super friendly and helpful . He informed us of the highlights on the 3 hour Oturehua to Omakau ride . The trip can be as long as you want due to so many interesting things to see along the way . Lots of diversity . It was graded 1 so very simple , safe and accessible , yet still enough of a challenge . Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back to ShebikesHebikes to book further trips . Thanks to Steve and the team .

Highly recommended for cyclists on the Dunstan Trail SheBikesHeBikes made our Clyde-to-Cromwell transfer stress-free. They happily transported our own e-bikes, and the premium e-bikes we hired were excellent. The booking process was simple, and the detailed itinerary and videos were really helpful. Scotty, our driver, was friendly and helpful. We’d definitely use them again!

Highly recommend Shebikeshebikes. We did the Lake Dunstan Trail end of January as a family of four with 15 & 11 year old. The staff were great - professional and knowledgeable. I was a bit nervous but was put at ease and well prepared. Stunning views and nice to be able to stop for a coffee and breakfast pizza at Carrick and a burger at Burger and Coffee Afloat at the half way mark. There were parts that were a little challenging for the less confident rider but you get to build up to those part with the gentle start. A epic family adventure which I would be keen to do again!

Wonderful dedicated bike trail along a beautiful lake! E-bikes made the 42k very doable. Wonderful day along a beautiful lake! The e-bikes made it very doable for us aging cyclists. A couple lovely stops along the way for coffee, wine, lunch, etc Perfect outing for anyone wanting to get away from the bustle of Queenstown and explore the local countryside!

Awesome day to cycle the Dunstan Lake Trail. Pete super helpful getting the bikes set up, and arranging transport to Cromwell with Tony was brilliant. Made the day easy and interesting info on the track and history of area. Bikes in good condition. Highly recommend!

This is a great trail to... We arrived at Shebikeshebikes and were greeted by friendly staff, we were given our bikes for a test ride before loading up and being driven from Clyde to Cromwell to start our ride. Our driver was great and gave us some history on the way. This is a great trail to ride, it is well maintained but is not a sealed track. It is two way traffic, but we did not encouter any issues as everyone is well spread out along the trail. Take plenty of water and sunblock as there is no shade along the trail. For most part the trail is easy to ride if you are confident on a bike. The hill climb can be a little more challenging for a novice due to some of the sharp turns. We did encounter some riders on non e-bikes pushing on the steeper up hill sections.

Why look elsewhere! Bikes were excellent, service was excellent, highly recommended. The Lake Dunstan trail itself exceeded all expectations, coffee at Carrick and lunch at the boat were both fantastic.

One of the best, if not the best bike trail I have ever ridden. An absolute must if you are in the area. You won't often find a bike trail of this category. With the e-bike a pure pleasure, with the biobike a wonderful challenge. We could unfortunately only get to the mountain as we only had half a day. E-bike and service were top.

A MUST do Lake Dunstan trail is a ride not to be missed.The staff are fabulous - helpful, informative and nothing too hardThe E Bike was in excellent condition so I never felt worried.The ride ( Crowell to Clyde) AWESOME!I am not a confident rider and there were a few narrow / S bends but all in all - fabulous.A few steep ( up and down) but all in all - it was manageable.The weather was perfect and the landscape beautiful.

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience Thoroughly enjoyed our experience with She bikes He Bikes, everything was spot on. We chose the Central Otago Rail trail this time and the whole trip was excellent from the moment we were picked up in Queenstown. The history was interesting, the scenery was stunning with just a bit of snow on the top of the mountains to make it more special and we loved all of the accommodation we stayed at along the way Olivers in Clyde, Pitches in Ophir, Inverlair Lodge in Oturehua & Kokonga Lodge where a fire was waiting for us after a wet day. I will certainly go with She Bikes He Bikes on another trip & would recommend to others.

Flexible options and personable friendly service We rented a bike of these guys that was ideal as my wife had fractured her shoulder and couldn’t ride herself. They had a GSD cargo bike available that was ideal. See photos

We loved this bike ride.... We loved this bike ride. The views were incredible and the water was a beautiful sapphire blue the whole day. We thought about using regular bikes but are thankful we used the ebike option because some of the elevation would have been pretty challenging. We highly recommend doing this.

Our family has a fabulous road trip to the magnificent South Island in Jan 2020. Absolute the best part of this was the cycling the Otago Rail Trail. Another Trail We use Shebikeshebikes in 2017 due to their excellent service we did not hesitate in contacting them again for another ride Roxburgh Gorge, Clutha Gold Trails . Their communication was excellent their staff are so friendly helpful and very knowledgeable. One of our party needed an e bike from the second day this was no problem at all the bike was delivered to us and an informative explanation was given about the e bike to the rider. Just finished the rail trail with 2 adults and 2 kids. ShebikesHebikes were brilliant to deal with from the initial query, through the booking process and during the ride. We rode the Otago rail trail in February this year and i have to say the service and friendliness of She Bikes he bikes is second to none. We had the best time. Every thing was booked by Susie, after many messages back and forward. She was very patient with us as we changed our mind a few times. The accomodation along the way was fantastic, bikes were super comfortable and everyone was friendly and helpful wherever we were. A great ride to start if you are thinking of doing a multi day ride.

This is a late review... I did the Otago Rail Trail in November 2017 with a group of friends. We decided shebikeshebikes were the tour company for us and they provided us with outstanding service. The bikes were in great condition, easy to ride. The accommodation was beautiful and clean and we overall loved our time doing the trail. Would highly recommend choosing shebikeshebikes to organise your Otago Rail Trail experience.
