We did a private tour of Stonehenge with them. Simon was one of the best tour guides we have ever had. He explained the history of Stonehenge, and other places on the road to it, in a very detailed and interesting way. We hope we can come to Bath some other time and do another tour of this area with him

Simon was the best tour guide ever! He fulfilled all our wishes for the tour and we couldn’t imagine a better experience through the Cotswolds and Stonehenge. He thoroughly explained the rich history of every sight we visited/saw and encouraged us to ask questions/provide feedback. It was clear Simon has a lot of passion for the English countryside. I am truly grateful that I booked two private family tours on consecutive days, one for the Bath city walk and another for Stonehenge and beyond. Our guides, Toby and Simon, provided an exceptionally rich and educational experience at both locations. During the Bath city walk, we learned about the deep history of the area, from the earliest inhabitants to the arrival of the Romans, and how the city evolved through the Regency period to the present day. Toby made the stories come alive, and we felt as if we were walking through the layers of history. For the Stonehenge tour, Simon guided us through the fascinating background of this UNESCO site, explaining how it was built, its cultural significance, and the beliefs of the early people who created it. He also took us to St. Andrew, which added even more depth to the experience. Both guides were kind, patient, and wonderful with our family, especially with my son and his many out of the box questions. Even my kids enjoyed every moment. Thanks to Toby and Simon, history felt alive, and these tours became unforgettable highlights of our trip. I highly recommend their service.

We booked a two hour private History & Highlights tour through Simon at In and Beyond Bath. He was very helpful and ensured everything was organised in advance of our tour. Our tour guide was Maggie who was excellent as she gave a very interesting insight into life in Bath over hundreds of years. We were shown sights that any unaware person would walk past without knowing the important history behind them. Maggie had some wonderful stories to tell about famous people from Bath, which made the tour even more poignant. A first class experience!!

We spent a wonderful day in the Cotswolds! Simon is so knowledgeable about the history of the villages and shared those stories with us in a fun and interesting way. We spent time walking around Malmesbury, Castle Combe and several other towns, learning so much about them. And we had a lovely lunch at The Vine Tree - somewhere we'd never have found ourselves and very much enjoyed. I highly recommend Simon and will book again when we're back in Bath!

We had an exceptionally excellent tour with Simon going all around the Cotswolds from Bath. This was an incredibly special trip for both my mom and I as we had never been to the English countryside before, made even better by this experience. I cannot reccomend Simon and In & Beyond Bath enough. Simon’s knowledge of the areas and the history was incredible. Our trip started in Castle Comb’s, to Malmesbury, Lacock, and Corsham. We had the most phonemes time, stopping at places we never would have found on our own. We can’t wait to come back and have another tour with Simon!

Everything we hoped for! Simon was a delight to spend the day with, and he was a wealth of knowledge about the region and its history. He worked in a quick stop to let me geek out on Jane Austen movie sites. We didn't feel rushed, had a good lunch an teatime. I'll book again when I find my back to this area of the UK.
