Matt and the team (including Ben who Matt arranged for the scaffolding) carried out a full re-roof and associated works on my house, to a very high standard. I was particularly impressed by Matt's integrity when he found some hidden rotten timbers, rather than continuing on he brought these to my attention, which necessitated stopping work for remediation and no doubt messed up his schedule and diary plans. Matt was always contactable during the works and accommodating to my schedule, answering any questions and discussing the pros and cons of the options, and also was happy to meet on-site to discuss the best way to address the surprises unearthed. Matt was also flexible with the works taking place, and happy to add/remove jobs to the plan as needed and happy to supply the exact materials I requested. No hesitation to recommend for anyone looking at minor or major roofing works at a fair price. The scaffolding is barely down and the neighbours have already been commenting on how brilliant the roof now looks.

I’m blown away with the service I received from Matt and he’s team at cooper and sons roofing. We had a very challenging time with other roofers in the area. I’m so glad we took Matthew’s advice on board, we are now dry after two years of leaking. Matthew was so punctual and had so much knowledge and more importantly, turned up on time every time. For as long as Matthew is roofing, we will use him and he’s company, we couldn’t recommend him enough.

Matt and his team including his brother Ben who did all the scaffolding carried out a comprehensive repair job on my roof and chimney. There was a considerable amount of detailed work done including but not limited to removing/replacing roof tiles, repairing lead gulleys, repairing ridge tops, repointing the chimney, replacing gutter boards and sofits, replacing flat roof, redoing all loft insulation. The works took about two weeks in total with about 2-3 days only lost to inclement weather which was not bad for an October job. Matt’s team of Jason, Thomas and Riley worked hard all day from around 7:30-8:00 am until 4pm unless the weather prevented it and were thorough every time in their end of day clean up. Of course due to the scaffolding they weren’t able to get quite everywhere but the site, our constantly in use courtyard was always clean and tidy and debris free at the end of each day. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail on all the works is of a high standard and I am left feeling highly confident barring catastrophe I will not need anything major doing to my roof for more years than I have left in me! Thank you Matt for your professionalism in all your work and for your patience beforehand, during and after when explaining to me in laymen’s terms about the whys and what fors for all the works being done. I have updated my review and given 4 stars. I gave a lower rating initially but, after raising my issue with Matt and understanding that the scaffolding and work he did were two separate company's that did clarify where the main fault lay. Firstly the work that Matt did (not the scaffolding) was great. The flat roof was done really well, the chimney lead work was a bit of an art form which he clearly loved doing and I feel content with the up and coming downpours and my chimney leak, that the problem has been rectified and was in safe hands. I have to say that Matt and his wife really care about the service they provide and take issues seriously when raised. I found them fair, Matt clearly enjoys what he does, takes pride in his work which shows in the quality of the final work done. Things do go wrong sometimes and whilst communication initially wasn't great and I was confused in terms of the separation between Matts company an the scaffolder as the management of the job fell to one person, I have to say that Matt has taken onboard my complaint and ensured that the scaffolder did come back and deal with the issue. Thanks for rectifying and for the overall work, Sophie A really disappointing service. Poor communication led to changes in dates for when the job was done. Once the job was done, which was fine, the scaffolding was taken away when I wasn't there. I had requested they didn't take it down until I was around but they ignored this. Subsequently I found when the scaffolding was removed, it had damaged my gable wall, which they failed to repair or tell me about. There was little care or respect given to my property or my needs throughout this whole process.

Matt was really professional and very knowledge. Helpful throughout the whole process of getting quite a bit of work done on our roof. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Matt and the team did a brilliant job in fixing a leaky chimney that was causing water ingress into the downstairs fireplace. The initial assessment was professional and clear, and as work started I was informed at all times how things were progressing. The team were polite, worked so so hard, and cleared up thoroughly after. I am so pleased at the end result. Highly recommmended. Thank you!!!!

What had the potential to be a stressful and painful experience was made remarkably simple due to Matt and his teams ability. Matt is great at being frank (which I needed and appreciated) and helpful if I had a panic attack about the whole process. It all seemed professional and efficient - so much so that my 80+ year old dad has signed them up also to help. Would happily use again and can whole heartedly recommend.
