John and the team at Geotech Built did a great job with significant subfloor works to our 1930s home which had quite a number of subsided brick piers, as well as bearers that had some previous termite damage - resulting in a few rooms with sloping and uneven floors. The team worked quite hard in a very tight crawl space to replace all the damaged piers and bearers and finally jack up the floors, levelling it all out to provide a strong foundation. He made sure we had a clear understanding of the process and any impacts the works would have, giving us confidence throughout. I had to get some two major repairs done to the substructure of my house, After discussing the issue with several builders and their proposed solutions, I found John’s ability to patiently explain the details both reassuring and provided me with the confidence that I was dealing with a genuinely decent person who had done the job himself and took pride in the outcome. He also gave me advice about checking my stormwater pipes, which subsequently exposed another hidden issue, which needed to be addressed. Likewise, he was very hands on with his team during the works, and the team were just as keen to do the job well, which is just as reassuring, considering the awkward access location under the house and work conditions they had to do their job. After the underpinning job was completed , I needed to get an Agi line installed due to water ingress under the house, and I just got John to do this installation too. Again, I struggled with other builder’s approach (ie not explaining the solution fully) and found John’s openness to explain options and his solution reassuring. Fixing up an old home has its challenges, but for this specialised field of building repairs, I would unreservedly recommend to anyone needing these services to strongly consider Geotech Built.

John attended to the flooring level works himself and clearly understands his work well and takes pride in the outcome.
