We recently had a major issue with loud hammering noises every time any water valve in the house was closed. It was especially disruptive at night — the sound echoed through the finished basement ceiling and was so intense near the master bedroom that we couldn’t run the dishwasher or washing machine without waking everyone up. Drain Detectives came out and performed a truly rigorous investigation. Mr. Trey took the time to trace the vibration through the system and pinpoint the exact source: excessive pipe movement at the entry to the shower valve, where both the hot and cold lines were experiencing the worst vibration. His analysis was thorough, methodical, and far beyond a quick “patch and go.” Once he applied the proper fix, the difference was immediate. The hammering noise is completely gone, and we can finally use our appliances at night without worrying about loud banging through the house. It’s such a relief to have our home quiet again. I highly recommend the Drain Detectives. They came out late in the evening during a emergency situation and took care of business. Glad they were able to becasue they identified a larger problem about to cause big issues and took care of that within a few days. Great customer service. Had a backup in a sewage drain in my basement (not an emergency, but it was clogged and not draining) and they were able to make it out and take care of the problem within hours. Arrived exactly when they said they would and took care of the problem in minutes. On top of that the price was extremely reasonable. Will definitely be using them again in the future.
