Don’t get me wrong – we spent hours on end researching the home buying process online, but this was all very new to us. What I really appreciated about Jill was her willingness to take the time upfront to get to know us, our unique styles, and what we were looking for in a new home. My wife and I were both very picky with our priorities, and I thought Jill did a very nice job presenting us with relevant opportunities without wasting our time with opportunities that weren’t a fit. When we would visit homes that were for sale, we weren’t sure we were asking all the right questions, but Jill was always there to step in and make sure we didn’t miss anything important. One thing I really appreciated was her straightforward, yet never pushy approach. Prior to this process, my view of real estate agents was that they were too pushy (given their incentives), but Jill was never that. I felt she was genuine, honest, and had our full confidence every step of the way. Also, her local market knowledge was very, very strong. She also knew of several homes coming up for sale before they hit market, which felt like a competitive advantage to my wife and I. And she knew many of the individual home/property-specific nuances we should watch out for. When it came to negotiating the home purchase (which I know is top of mind for all home buyers given how expensive a home can be), I thought Jill’s approach was very effective. In my opinion, you either have the knack for this or you don’t. And Jill had it. Similar to what I imagine having a top-notch lawyer feels like, it’s a good feeling knowing you have the best agent going to bat for you. On top of that, Jill was always very proactive and a hard worker – early mornings / late nights, weekends, whatever it took – which was important to us given how competitive the housing market was during our search. To sum up, we could not recommend Jill highly enough. She is truly great at what she does, and if you are lucky enough to work with her, we have no doubt you be glad you made that decision.
