We noticed our heating vents were blowing cold air which was unusual. My husband emailed Nicholson’s on Friday p.m. We heard back immediately from them with an appointment on Saturday between (12-4p.m) Luis was punctual (a little early actually) which was really nice. Arrived at 11:55 (very professional & respectful) of our time. He was great! He involved & informed us of everything he was doing & was extremely respectful of our home & covering his work shoes before entering our home (which we didn’t care ) either way but just the extra courtesy went along way with us. He let us know our options on keeping our air quality good & how to go about doing it. He was very personable & just altogether a really nice & professional guy. We will DEFINITELY take our business to Nicholson’s if we have any other issues with our hvac system. Luis is always welcome back anytime!!!

I have been using their service for over 5 years. All the technicians have been very friendly, professionally and knowledgeable! I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs heating and plumbing services. 2nd review: Today Brian came to check on the water pressure for the house. He was very thorough and explained what our current situation is, and what the options are for us to correct current water pressure. Great service! 3rd review: Another problem with a furnace. This time Alex came to take care of the problem. Again, he was thorough and found a problem right away. He was able to explain, and address the problem! Great service again! Again, this year I had 2 maintenance services and a plumbing repair done. Again, no complain at all about the technicians (Mike L, Michael A, Nick B). They are all very professional and courteous! For the same reasons I posted previously, I would recommend them to anyone!

Technician evaluated Electrical Power Box externally and also the Circuit Breaker Box. They confirmed that the Power was on with no disruption. The Plummer also checked upper and lower heater element to ensure connection was proper. The individuals representing Nicholson were very professional and respectful. When an unexpected leak in our second floor bathroom slowly began to cause water damage on the first floor we knew we had an issues. We called around to various local plumbers and Nicholson Plumbing was the only one that replied and was able to help us with our home issue. The technician, Nicholas, was fantastic, informative and very fair. Everything was explained to us and we were back up and running with no leak within a few hours. Best part was everything was fixed within 24 hours of contacting Nicholson Plumbing. The added benefit was the two years warranty that comes with the service so even if the worst were to happen we are covered. I like how Nicholas was patience, understanding and transparent about our issue and provided a low and high option as well as pros and cons. I will plan to call Nicholson FIRST next time! Thank you!

I worked with Nicholson on several issues - water heater, drain issues, gas fired water boiler/heat issues. They were the fastest to respond and lowest quote. I would in particular like to call out the technician Jarek Walsh who got the heat going when another company had left it off and delayed the appointment 3x when temps were sub-zero. Jarek really saved the day, doing what was right. Jarek is the reason I decided to go with the rest of my fixes and sign up to be a member of Nicholson's services. If you get him, you're in great hands. The there technicians were good too. Prompt, always updated me with photos of the work and options on pricing.

Excellent service! Jimmy did a great job fixing our sink faucet and replacing our filter- a very kind man. Everything works great. Highly recommend.

Gas-fed ancient boiler stopped working. No clue why. Other than the ancient part. Recent transplant from the mid-Atlantic so my boiler experience is null, but I still did a little shooting, and couldn’t get the pilot light lit. Not wanting to blow up the house troubleshooting further, I called Nicholson, because 1) they’re local, 2) I can almost hit their shop with a rock from my house, and 3) I see their trucks all over. So figured they’d have a better chance than most to have an available tech sooner than later. Plus - their owner graduated from Keefe just up the road, and my partner’s kid just got accepted there. But I digress. I was right about an available tech. Jarek came out right away. He put a quick fix in place, cleaned the burners, lit the pilot light, and got the boiler up and running. In addition, he generated an estimate for a more permanent fix and set up a consult to provide a complete replacement. Before he left, he took a look at one of my radiator heaters. He was driving away in less than 30 minutes. Jarek was great and accommodating. Charged me the minimum. It’s only one service call, but that’s a pretty ideal service call. I’ll be doing more work with them, and of course things will only get more complicated, but so far so good…

We have used Nicholson now for a new heat pump, hot water heater and now furnace, all over the past two years. First, Neil, our sales person has been great, no pressure, options given and just overall nice. All the guys who have come out to do the work are OUTSTANDING, all do quality work, friendly and seem to like their jobs. I would highly recommend Nicholson for any heating or plumbing work, we will continue to use them for our needs here in Ashland. We recently used Nicholson for some plumbing needs, continue to be an outstanding company, the crew that came out were friendly, helpful and respectful. Highly recommend for your home needs.

This was my first time using Nicholson and I had a great experience. Nick and his team were very detailed in what needed to be repaired and all that needed to be done. They came in and got right to work and were very clean and making sure that when they left they left the area in the same condition. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using them in the future!!!

Just a yearly maintenance service, though Jarek was thorough and informative as he helped make sure our AC was functioning well for the upcoming summer, and he made us aware of some things to be watchful for as our system gets older.

The most important thing is he really knew my system and how it works and what it needs to work well .

He explained what the issue was in a way that that I could understand and fixed it efficiently. Before leaving, he made sure everything was working properly and answered questions I had. We lost our hot water and called. Nicholson said it was not an emergency. They set us up very quickly with someone to come out. Technician arrived early, assess the situation and repaired it all within a few hours. He was very professional and took the time to explain things to us.

Very happy with the installation of my hot water tank. The two techs, Oliver and El were friendly, courteous and mindful of my carpets and walls as they brought the old tank in and new one out.

Fantastic service. Polite representatives on the phone, and they were able to schedule a plumber to replace my water heater the same day that I called. Plumber was professional, efficient, and effective.

The person who answered the phone was nice and quick in scheduling, sometimes you feel like you are bothering receptionists not here. The repair person while he could not keep the original appointment due to a heating emergency, it happens this time of year, was on time the following scheduled appointment. Brendan, texted me to let me know he was on his way. He mentioned some things to keep an eye on, if I was not ready to change out as preventative maintenance.
