Ms Alisha and Ms Zeqin are both my gp teachers and they’re both really patient and helpful. ever since i joined illume and they both taught me, i realise that gp isn’t as tough as i thought it would be. while different papers have different qns so sometimes i’m not too sure if i actually improve or not, it’s safe for me to say that i feel more confident when doing p2 especially! im happy that i joined illume early as their techniques taught are extremely useful to help breakdown questions so they don’t seem so daunting.

Mr Liew is a very articulative teacher that is able to explain things very well with his vast knowledge of the world. I have seen big improvements for my GP.

Mr Milan is a patient and kind teacher and he has helped me in improving my English. Ever since my friend referred me to illume my grades have improved thanks to Mr Milan’s help. If we ever need help in understanding a question Mr Milan will always be there to guide us, he never gets impatient if we get a question wrong or if we ask him to repeat his answer. Thank you!

Mr Milan is an outstanding teacher and always teaches us patiently. His detailed explaination helps us to understand what went wrong and helps us to familiarise ourselves with that particular question and how to answer correctly. He is never frustrated when we get a question wrong or ask him to repeat his explanation. Learning with him is very enjoyable and his lessons helped me to improve in my English greatly as a student.

Ms Alyssa is the best English teacher ever!!! After attending her lessons, my English improved as drastically as the weather in Singapore 🥵🥶 I went from a failing student, C6 in WA3...to B4 in my O level prelims!!! She is also very kind and amazing and awesome :DDDD The notes in illum e is also super super helpful and easy to understand, especially the ones that include answering techniques for comprehension and tips for writing, which really guided me through my revision. Through the help of Ms Alyssa, I have gotten a clearer understanding in English which made me feel more confident about the subject. The lessons here are also super lively and fun, which makes me look forward to coming here every week, and it made me love English as a subject even more 😁. The staff at the counter are also super friendly and funny, so coming to tuition here every week feels extremely welcoming to me. P.S. You get free flavoured oat milk so you can drink when you are tired during lessons, which is one of the many factors that motivates me to keep on going even further with English

After joining illum.e, I’ve been so much more confident in GP. While I still have a long way to go, I’m grateful for the guidance I received from Mr Liew, my GP teacher. His way of teaching brought clarity and confidence in me while helping me better understand this subject as a whole. I previously struggled quite a lot for both essay and comprehension as I felt the format and teaching from my school was rather messy and often got lost in answering. However, I felt that Mr Liew helped me clarified my doubts very well and gave a clear and concise way to approach different kinds of questions and formulate answers from the ground up. I also enjoy the fact that his classes are engaging as he always tries to relate the class topic to current affairs and often use analogies to help us logic out GP :D
