Loved the tour. Learned a lot about oyster farming in Smoky Bay and elsewhere. Eating plump oysters and drinking wine on the deck overlooking the scenic sandbar as oysters were being harvested was a very pleasurable experience.

A truely unique experience with passionate and knowledgeable oyster farmers whose whole family works in the industry. We received a great history of how the oyster farming business started and grew in the area, how it all works and of course, had fresh oysters plucked straight from the racks! Delicious, educational and great celebration of this important industry!

We missed the oyster tour, but a very kind woman explained everything to us and let us try some oysters. Seeing how much we enjoyed it, she wouldn’t even take our money. That small gesture made the experience special.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to the Eyre Peninsula!! Colleen & Jeff were great hosts and the deck experience was everything you’d want it to be. We were blessed with fantastic weather during our trip and also saw a seal and dolphins during the boat ride out to the deck. Colleen filled us in on the local oyster scene while Jeff went out and tended to their leases. We were served plenty of fresh plump huge oysters straight from the water - the best way to have them if you can!! They were paired with a local wine produced by the Streaky Bay Area School and various condiments like lime, wasabi kewpie and the Smooth Pool Gin by Streaky Bay Distillers! Yum!! Please don’t miss this experience in Smoky Bay. It’s great fun and the team are passionate and entertaining! Cheers! The Welsh Family.
