Add this to your MUST DO travel list! The Shed tour with Colleen was fantastic, so now I regret not doing the Deck tour! (Learn from the error of my ways!!) I have no photos to share because I was too engrossed in the experience: learning about oysters, how this family came to be oyster farmers, seeding, grading, how to shuck oysters, & most importantly eating the fresh oysters along with a local glass of riesling. Congratulations team on your new equipment, & thank you for sharing your morning

A huge thank you to Jeff and Colleen for the unforgettable Shuck'N'Sip tour. From the boat ride to the breathtaking sunset view on the platform, every moment was exceptional. Initially, only two of us were set to join because the other three don’t eat oysters. However, Colleen reassured us that the tour would be fascinating even for non-oyster eaters and promised a cheese platter. We decided to go for it, and I’m so glad we did. Not only did we all end up trying and loving the oysters, but we also had a fantastic time together. I can’t recommend the Smoky Bay Shuck'N'Sip tour enough—definitely a 10/10 experience!

Colleen and Jeff provided an outstanding experience which we totally recommend. There was a wealth of interesting information about oysters and oyster farming. The platform is a great location to observe work on the lease and the school-produced riesling was good – but the stars were those fat Smoky Bay oysters, fresh from the sea.

FANTASTIC VALUE !!! learn how sustainable and environment improving this industry is. Colleen is a wonderful guide and source of information. Eat oysters out amongst it all in beautiful natural surroundings or take them back to cook to your liking. You cannot get fresher than straight from the water, shucked and washed down with a glass of white wine. WORTH EVERY CENT AND MORE.

Huge oysters $13 doz, very clean, slightly harder to shuck probably because they're a bit bigger? We're no shucking experts 😂. Some not as creamy as others but all in all very delicious either way.

We were looking forward to the oyster farm tour, apparently it’s the only farm do this in the area!! Unfortunately it’s depending on the weather and the tide. They can only let you know the day before. So if you also a big fan like me wanna know how this industry work, call up and check with them day before head. Despite we missed out the tour, they still got fresh oyster in the factory. It’s $16 a dose. The freshest oyster I can ever have. I just wanna go back to smoky bay again.

Sensational morning - stiff southerly blowing & plenty of sea spray in your face on the cruise out to the oyster farm - hit the elevated platform, scoff THE best oysters if your life, washed down with a local Riesling while jawing with some of the family running this business - they're all friendly, down to earth & obviously resilient as they flicked land farming in 1990 and have developed this successful enterprise from scratch. All product is sold to domestic market - no export - which I love; Aussies come first for a change. Value for money & highly recommended.
