Kevin and the R&S team did a fantastic job on our basement from beginning to end. They gave us a clear timeline and pay schedule, with very little deviation from the original plan. The contractors were punctual and generally showed up when expected. Kevin was willing to work together with us on our vision for the basement and showed that he really cared about our family and our future plans for the space. There were just a couple of unexpected challenges that arose, as usual for a large project, but he walked us through all of the options and contingencies and resolved all of them with a solution that was generally better than the original plan. Very fair pricing compared to market price, and he was very easy to work with. Subcontractors were all great guys, and really made the difference by working with us from everything from the width and location of doors, to the shape of the ceilings and trays to maximize headspace. Quality of materials were always above builder grade with options for upgrades if we wanted. Everything turned out beautifully and the contractors’ attention to detail is evident. Kevin was always honest, fair, humorous, and responsive to concerns which made all the difference in our overall experience. If you’re on the fence, R&S is the right choice.

We moved in our home with a list of projects and started with the deck improvement first. Kevin met with us, listened to our needs for expansion and had great ideas we had not even considered. We met again to finalize the plan. Kevin and his guys completed a beautiful, large seating deck and a step down grilling deck which would accommodate a large wall of windows in the kitchen. The "Trex" non wood material is beautiful. We are so happy with the results that we met with Kevin and had R&S Basements refinish our basement. The previous owners had chopped up the basement into little rooms and Kevin opened up the area giving us the recreation space we needed as well as adding a guest bedroom. We are very pleased with the results and have recommended R&S Basements to many others. Our projects have increased the value of our home and we enjoy both the inside and outside spaces!

R&S has remodeled multiple homes of mine. Their design and quality are second to none. I was renovating with my own desires and the future sale of my home in mind. They were able to direct me to spend money on things that would get me the greatest return on my investment. It surprised me greatly the things that do add value to your home and the things that don't. A lot of home owners waste money thinking certain units of work will translate to more profit in the sale than the money they invest into their house and end up missing out on additional equity that could have been gained with proper guidance. The final product has continued to be fantastic and I'm sure they will be the first company I will call to improve my next home.

R&S Basements remodeled our basement, kitchen, primary bedroom, primary bathroom, and re-stoned our fireplace. The craftsmanship and quality is amazing. I really appreciate the design approach as this added much more usable space in our basement and bathroom than I was able to envision myself. Can’t say enough good things about R&S Basements! When I was searching and interviewing contractors, Kevin was the only contractor to take the time to get to know my family, what our intentions are with the space, offer solutions that we haven’t even thought of, and offer budget friendly solutions. It is clear he has been doing this for awhile and cared about the space being a value add for the family, not just the home value. Once we decided to go with R&S basements the contract process was easy and fair + we were able to meet in the middle on a few changes I was looking for. Kevin warned me once we started the work that things would move fast and he wasn’t lying- we had someone at our house almost every day M-F working. Subs were clean, friendly and very knowledgable..often offering advice on how to maintain what they were installing. I know every build situation is different, but I can’t envision our project being finished any faster than it was…which was awesome with a new baby on the horizon. Kevin, Andrew and Rebekah (his son and daughter in law who are involved in the business) are very communicative. We especially liked that they set up a group text with us to communicate almost daily on next steps, when draw payments were due and misc questions. Full transparency, I wasn’t a huge fan of how the draw payment schedule worked out for us (felt like we were writing a check almost every week) but that was only a very minor inconvenience and really it was a great problem to have because it meant the build was moving quickly! 10/10 recommend R&S basements!!!

When I was looking to have my basement finished, I reached out to several companies, R&S Basements being one of them. I don't think there are enough good things I could say about R&S. We got quotes from close to a dozen different contractors and from the beginning they stood out. They genuinely care about what they do and you as a customer. It's a family owned and operated business and while they worked, they really felt like an extension of our family and made everything super easy. They were were always responsive when I had questions or if something came up. They exceeded my expectations for the job itself and honestly 6 months out, I couldn't be happier with the work. The basement is probably the best quality construction in our house at this point. I work down there and have a rec area that's so nice it makes it hard to leave at the end of the day. Couldn't recommend them any stronger!

Kevin and team did an amazing job finishing our basement. When we did the initial walk through, he knew what we needed and were looking for and did a great job staying within the budget we came up with. The communication was great and we are truly enjoying how our basement turned out. Thanks to them we now have 1900 sq feet of living space added to our home … including an office, bedroom, workout room, living area, kitchenette, bathroom and theatre room! We are (and have) definitely recommending to friends that are looking to have their basements done.
