



We met with a sales representative from Great American Home Exteriors in Elmhurst to receive quotes on several projects. The salesperson was very kind, professional, and patient with all of our questions, and we genuinely felt comfortable moving forward based on that interaction. We ultimately decided to proceed with a kitchen window installation. Our initial appointment took place on Saturday, December 13. At that time, we were told that a foreman would contact us at the beginning of the following week to schedule measurements. We also put down a $1,000 deposit, which was more than the required 20%, in good faith.
Unfortunately, after that appointment, communication completely stopped. The following week we heard nothing. The week after that, we called again, still nothing. We have called the office multiple times without receiving a response. We also reached out to the sales representative via text; he kindly said he would follow up for us, but no one ever contacted us. At this point, with no calls, no emails, no scheduling, and no explanation, it has become very concerning that our $1,000 deposit was taken without any indication of when the project will move forward. This is especially disappointing given the presentation we were shown emphasizing customer satisfaction, transparency, reliability, and the company’s BBB A+ rating.
We were truly excited to work with this company and trusted what was promised to us. We are simply asking for immediate contact to clarify the status of our project or to discuss a refund if the work cannot proceed. We hope this can be resolved quickly and professionally.

Since posting this review, the owner, Sam, has personally reached out and taken full responsibility for what occurred. Sam and the entire team have worked extremely hard to make this right and to restore our confidence in the process. Communication has been consistent, transparent, and proactive, and we have been kept informed every step of the way.
We truly appreciate the effort, professionalism, and accountability shown. Sam has guaranteed us 100% satisfaction and has gone above and beyond, even offering additional incentives should we decide to move forward with more projects once this work is completed.
We are confident things are now moving in the right direction. When the project is fully completed, I will update this review again and fully expect to revise it to a 5-star review based on how this resolution continues.
