I have no hesitation in recommending SolarGain Ltd. After deciding to install a solar PV system, I approached a number of companies and found that SolarGain provided the best design and support service and also highly competitive pricing. I therefore asked them to undertake the work, which was extensive, including the installation of 24 solar panels, a 5 kW inverter and two 9.5 kWh batteries. I also combined this work with re-roofing the house and SolarGain worked seamlessly with the roofing contractor to ensure a smooth operation. It was a particularly satisfying experience working with Phil Collins their operations director, who provided excellent technical support and then management of the installation and commissioning processes. The installation has now been working for several weeks and is proving to be a great success by powering our home and also providing income from the export of excess electricity.

We have had the benefit of solar panels [and a battery] from Solargain since May - and this lovely summer has certainly been a great time to start our solar 'life'. Our electricity costs from the grid has been maybe a couple of £ all summer - and we have dropped electricity INTO the grid every day since installation. We know things will change going into the colder, greyer days - but we already have a healthy amount from our monthly direct debit 'saved' into our fuel account, so hope to come out of this winter not in arrears [for once] to our provider. Solargain continues to keep in touch and offer advice, so it's a win-win!

This company have proven to be the most reliable reassuring and helpful I have had dealings with. From the initial contact no fee visit and assessment I felt assured. Everything that was explained and promised happened as it should. Furthermore I was given contact details of several past customers who had agreed to speak to me. Again their experience had been as positive as mine. The scaffolding arrived on time and was very carefully placed with minimal fuss, the roofers and electricians were super efficient, careful and helpful, they agreed to several adjustments to the installation at my request and with no fuss. Colin the technical manager came and commissioned the system and was very helpful in explaining how it was all going to work. In an industry which has been flooded with multiple firms it was something of the wild west looking for a good firm. I had quotes from 4 other companies and Solar Gain is definitely where you want to go. The Givenergy battery and inverter plus EV charger system is neat and efficient and as all one system it integrates very easily. Cannot rate these guys highly enough.

Having made enquiries of several potential suppliers over the weekend for solar panels plus battery, Phil contacted me and visited Monday morning. Personable, and not pushy like some later potential suppliers. By that evening I had a detailed proposal that covered all aspects, with a detailed breakdown of charges, so very transparent. In fact this was the only response we had that gave calculations for roof loading. Price was comparable to other potential suppliers. With the security of HIES deposit and payment, and Insurance Backed Guarantee we felt comfortable and confident dealing with Solar Gain. Our scaffolding access wasn't straightforward but this was dealt with to our satisfaction. Installation date was agreed and everything happened as promised. The next day was a short period of commissioning then we were up and running producing our own electricity. We've had a couple of minor snags that have been resolved quickly. Certainly very happy about the whole process and an easy and professional team to deal with.

I cannot fault SolarGain at all to be honest. Phil came to the house and provided me with the 3rd quote I had been given from various installers. He and I talked through some ideas as the house has 3 dormers and not the easiest to install on. We utilised as much space as possible and I received all the design detail in a well structured pack. As I was keen to get on with the install, Vanessa applied to the relevant authorities the same day as I paid my deposit and the installation went ahead shortly after we received approval. The team that installed the panels did it in the driving rain and we're still super nice, considerate and professional (not because I made them tea and coffee every 30 mins!) The next working day the system was commissioned and is now running well; the MCS certificate and other fundamental documents were sent over on the same day as the commissioning. Good Experience from initial Site Survey from Solar Gain Ltd through to Installation. We paid initial 20% up front, (not like some that want all up front) they then sent a Qualified Engineer to properly survey our home before the Installation. On the agreed date a team arrived at 8am and carried out the Install, 1 Electrician and 2 Roof Engineers. 12 Roof panels were installed, a Battery pack and Inverter all before 1pm. We were issued a Web Site and we can see how much power we are generating from the roof panels, how much we are drawing from the Grid, and how much we are Exporting to the grid. Easy to use web site even for me a retired person! Just had a Statement from the Electricity Provider £9 usage for the last week. Totally Recommend Solar Gain.

Exceptional service from start to finish. A very professional and straight talking and honest Company who put the customer first. Phil and Vanessa kept us up to date at all stages and were very quick to respond if we had any questions. The installation team of Jon and Tim were equally professional and diligent whilst installing our solar system, keeping us informed at all stages. They are two very hard working and personable individuals who are credit to the Solar Gain team.
