I didn’t end up moving forward with a water feature (for now), but I still wanted to leave a review because my experience with Black Koi Water Features genuinely stood out. I had a lot of questions and was really just trying to get more information about what goes into planning something like this and how it even works. They took the time to walk me through the process, explain options, and help me think through what would actually make sense for my space without any pressure to commit. They were easy to talk to, and clearly know their craft inside and out. It felt more like getting guidance from people who care about what they’re doing than being “sold” something. If I decide to move forward in the future, I already know who I’m calling.

We had a pond at a previous home so we had a vision. Joe and Brandon greatly exceeded anything we could have dreamed of. Their entire crew is extremely talented and have an amazing eye for artistic detail. Couldn’t be more pleased.

Black Koi did excellent work cleaning our 5000 gallon koi pond. We have had the pond for 20 years, though it was our first time with BK. They handled our mature fish with care and went the extra mile helping us bear-proof the overnight tank. The pond was overdue for a cleaning, and they left it cleaner than we’d seen it in years. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful experience with this company, Black Koi! They are so polite and did a fantastic job! They came when they said they would come. We had a very dirty gold fish pond that they pressure washed with great care. They also installed a chemical dispenser to make it easier to manage. They took care of our fish with great care. They even added some extra rocks for us and went above and beyond what we expected from them. We would greatly recommend them to anyone. What a great group of people!

We have a 10 year old water feature with a 10’ pond. It had never had a professional cleaning. Jonathan did an outstanding job He made it look like it did when first installed. I will highly recommend Black Koi for their periodic cleaning service. They did an outstanding job at our house.

Joe and his team did an amazing job helping us get our pond back in order after damage from Hurricane Helene. He responded promptly, communicated very clearly and installed a new pump so we were able to fill our pond. Thank you Joe!

Excellent service and product

Joe and his team are very professional. Brandon was the lead on my project, he was prompt and cheerful and responsive. The project took only a few days to complete, they came when they said they would and worked like crazy. Brandon was very creative and upbeat, and the final project was fabulous. I highly recommend these folks.

Joe, Brandon and the entire team did an amazing job building the perfect water feature for my home. They make sure every detail is perfect and are one of the hardest working crews you will find. You get what you pay for and please don’t find this out the hard way like I did. Just hire Black Koi from the start!!

Today a one technician, Bubba, gave a welcome outcome ( after topping up Koi pond and checking current pump): "All is working well." He provided technical information as to maintaining water cleanliness, added clarifier solution, helped us order a detox solution, and set up a September appt to assemble a Dome supported netting cover. Our waterfall pond [approx 14'x17'] is surrounded by heavy leaf fall such that netting pinned over top becomes weighted down. Bubba was easy to work with. I look forward to future maintenance by this area's top company for Koi ponds!!!

Could not find anyone in Greenville SC to look at my small water feature (small waterfall and pond). Black Koi did so. (And they are located in NC!) Bubba went ABOVE AND BEYOND to examine it - and find ways to fix it - without a complete rebuild/replacement. Having become a recent widow, I do not have the funds for such an expenditure. The 'waterfall' is now flowing better than I have ever seen it in the 4 years of owning my home. If you have a 'water feature' - or are thinking of installing one - this is the ethical company to choose. Hands down...

We (my wife and I) had an Excellent! experience working with Joe and his professional team, I felt they went beyond & above my expectations and delivered a wonderful product (existing Pond Renovation & Added Waterfall Feature) on time and within quoted budget. Joe personally consulted with me on the Flower and Shrub Layout by sketching it up & listing out the bill of material for me to take on the task of what was not included with our project (my responsibility stuff), he didn't need to do that but he did :) - The team assigned to our project were very hard-working and professional, they started to become friends of mine in a short time. Also, it was very cool watching the team design build the Waterfall Feature, they took what they had in front of them, designed it up and turned it into Art - Black Koi Water Features come Highly Recommended and has our 5-Stars.

We are absolutely thrilled with the pondless waterfall that Black Koi installed in our back yard. Our goal was to add a water feature that seemed natural/organic and that would provide a water source for birds. It took a leap of faith, but it looks wonderful and natural. We love seeing birds bathing in the shallow pools and hearing the flowing water. It's a great investment just for the pleasure that it brings us. Everyone working on the project was professional and great to deal with. Brandon and Antonio, in particular, were terrific. We would recommend Black Koi without reservation.

Wonderful work. My pond has never looked better. A crew came out and spent all day cleaning up a decade of muck. Service was excellent, communication was very easy. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

We hired Black Koi Water Features based on a recommendation from a neighbor and we could not be happier. Brandon and his crew dismantled our very small existing pond and enlarged it to about four times its previous size. I was amazed by his artistic vision and his ability to design a beautiful and very natural looking waterfall on a fairly steep incline. He and his crew were punctual, friendly, courteous and extremely respectful of our existing plantings. Given the location within an existing and fully planted garden plus the incline of the area, they were unable to use machinery and had to dig everything by hand and carry the boulders in a wheelbarrow. Absolutely amazing crew. I could not recommend Black Koi Water Features highly enough!

Joe and the entire team are the best. Brandon is in his element. They love their work. Highly professional. All were very meticulous and very caring of our koi. They did a tremendous job with our annual clean out. The best thing one can do to upgrade their backyard is to hire Joe. It is far better to watch koi than to cut more lawn. We enjoy this every day and every evening.
