Moved with this company last year. Really bad experience. Gave very clear instructions and directions. They got lost on the way to the new property and charged me for the extra time and for leaving and moving to a flat, even though this was specified at the time of booking. Purposely locked my cat away in the bathroom so she couldn't escape, despite telling the movers one of them opened the door. One of the movers couldn't really lift much and ended up sitting outside on one my chairs whilst my partner helped his colleague lift things. They then blamed me for being late for their next appointment. Paid them what they asked for as had completely lost the will but I'm hindsight really wished I'd challenged. Maybe it's the luck of the draw who you get. I moved from Stockport to Manchester. Not really interested in the reply that will possibly follow.

I paid an additional £82 after being advised that a medium van would not fit my belongings. On the day, a Luton van arrived and our items filled only a small portion of the space, making the upgrade unnecessary.
The driver arrived accompanied by his child without any prior disclosure or consent, which raised safeguarding and insurance concerns, especially as I had confirmed I would not be travelling with the driver.
The driver also returned to our address the following day without prior agreement.
I raised these concerns with Hello Vans three times, but my concerns were not satisfactorily addressed in their two replies. I was told I'm not due anything back from this unprofessional service. Due to that, I am now escalating the matter through the appropriate consumer channels.
Update – March 2026:
Since posting this review I have contacted HelloVans multiple times directly to resolve the issue. The company has declined a refund and my card dispute through Monzo/Mastercard was also challenged by them.
The company publicly replied asking me to contact customer services, despite the fact that my complaint had already been raised with them several times by email.
As a result I have now submitted a formal complaint through Citizens Advice for referral to Trading Standards and have issued a Letter Before Action requesting repayment of the £82 charge.

Movers were punctual and moved everything we needed and reassembled our furniture. Professionalism could have been a bit better and some things were not packed safely although in the end all was moved damage free. For the price, I would recommend!

I had a very good experience with this service. The team was punctual, professional, and provided amazing service from start to finish. The property I moved from was on the second floor with very narrow stairs, but Omed and his colleague did an excellent job handling everything with great care. All items were moved without any damage, and they completed the job efficiently without any delays. I highly recommend their service.
