Manvir, the second service tech who came to our house, was fantastic. (The stars are due to him). Prior to him though, our experience getting service for our fridge was not good. We had just purchased a new Whirlpool French door fridge and very quickly realized that the left door did not close properly without considerable effort. Otherwise, it stayed open and sometimes also knocked open the right door. Many attempts were made to bring this to the attention of the store and to Whirlpool, as we wanted the fridge fixed or replaced. Note: When calling Whirlpool customer service, be prepared to wait on hold for quite a while. After explaining our issue on the phone, they booked a service appointment. This first service appointment went horribly. The tech (didn’t give his name) quickly dismissed my concern, saying that’s how these fridges function and that it’s not a problem. He left without providing any assistance. We called customer service again and stated that we disagreed with the tech’s report and that we were still looking to resolve the problem with the fridge. They agreed to send another tech for a second opinion. Manvir was the second tech who arrived and immediately acknowledged that the fridge doors were not functioning as they should. He identified an issue with the mullion and returned a few days later to replace it. It seems to be closing much better now. A big thanks to Manvir! We’ve spent considerable time over the past few weeks trying to get this resolved and he was very helpful.
