We had a very complicated electrical issue at home, flickering lights, voltage spikes, burnt-out lights/appliances and surges that no one could figure out. We worked with another electrician who couldn't solve it, even after hours of troubleshooting. We even called PG&E to test the load at the main panel and everything looked good. Then we upgraded our sub-panel with the previous electrician, but the problem still kept lingering. Finally, we called Fitch Electric, and I'm so glad we did. Which Electric installed a transfer and shedding switch for my Generac generator for a fair price. Most importantly, they installed a reliable system. I contracted the same job to AAAA GENERATOR in Hayward before going to Fitch. AAAA took well over $6000 to get the same job done and it never worked correctly. AAAA GENERATOR had even noted in thier invoice it was "FIXED" and it wasn't! Fitch Electric's annual maintenance for a Generac 22kw generator is reasonable, AAAA charges much more and they don't make sure the machine starts easily. I highly recommend you spend your money with Fitch Electric when you need a job done correctly. I've had generators for over 40, years, this is the voice of experience!

After seeking two estimates for my Generac project, I selected Fitch Electric. They could not have been more timely, efficient, strategic and cost competitive. Amazing service. Had a dryer that wasn't drying clothes. Ended up being an old electric breaker. Sent out a request on Yelp and Fitch was one of the first to respond. I sent the request out on a Friday night and Lucas responded promptly. He had someone out the next day, and they replaced the outlet. Unfortunately, that didn't do the trick. Lucas immediately refunded us and schedules another visit. They identified the problem and had it fixed within the week on a schedule that worked for us. Cost was worth the customer service. Cant say if it would have been more or less expensive than others.

Our master bathroom electrical outlets tripped and we could not get them to power on despite trying all the conventional solutions. We called Fitch and they responded to our request quickly. Had an urgent situation today where the smart light switch in our baby daughter's room started smelling burnt. I reached out to Fitch Electric and Josh responded quickly. They sent Martin out within a couple hours, which was great because most of the other electricians said they weren't available until the next day, and this seemed like a safety concern. Martin came with the replacement already and switched out the old unit. We found the old unit seems to have burned up internally as the unit itself is was smelled, not related to any of the wiring. I contacted Fitch Electric because I had an outlet and exterior light that wasn't working. Fitch Electric contacted me to schedule an appointment after I left a message and they were able to come out within 2 days. Eric was our technician and he was able to quickly diagnose the problem and make the repair. The diagnoses was a little tricky but I could tell Eric was an experienced electrician and knew how to assess different things to identify the issue correctly. Fitch Electric was very reliable (showed up on time) and was very professional. I would definitely recommend them.

During a paver install, we found an issue with an external outlet. I called them at 0700, and they were able to adjust their schedule and have someone out by 0745 on the same day. Martin & Fitch Electric were incredibly helpful. I thought that I needed a GFCI outlet somewhere in my kitchen, and Martin patiently explained why I didn't and then tested all of the outlets to make sure everything was set up correctly. He then installed a dimmer somewhere else in just a few minutes and took a look at the existing electrical wiring when he did and verified everything was set up well (we were nervous about it from some prior shoddy work). Fitch Electric was also much more reasonably priced - I got a quote for more than double from another highly rated electrician, and will be going with Fitch whenever I've got an issue.

Fitch electric did a fantastic job and really put a personal touch on the install of my new juicebox EV charger and outlet. I recently moved to Orinda and I used Fitch Electric for some minor electrical work (outlets, switches, sconces) in December 2021. It was about a 3 hour job. Martin was the electrician and he did a great job. He showed up early, wore a mask, answered all of my questions, and completed the work efficiently. He also figured out a switch that had stumped another licensed electrician. The prices were reasonable (and transparent) relative to other vendors in the area. It was also really easy to schedule an appointment by calling the number listed. I honestly thought this whole process would be a pain but it was super seamless. I highly recommend Fitch and plan to use then for any future needs.

Santiago was able to come take care of a breaker box issue same day and did a phenomenal job. I'll definitely keep Fitch in mind if we have another circuit issue.

Lucas the owner was super responsive and got us back with power same day we contacted him. He helped us with getting the proper paperwork to submit for reimbursement with our home warranty and continued to help us navigate to get our electrical panel replaced. Very straightforward and easy to work with. Martin the electrician who came out was quick yet took the time to explain what we needed to have done and what he was doing. The electrician, Martin came in the early morning as agreed upon. He came with an assistant and did a thorough job in determining the cause of the electric malfunction in the outdoor receptacles and then got them fixed. Things are working as normal since. We are pleased with the work and the pleasantness and helpfulness of Martin.

Had a circuit breaker that wouldn't reset, found these guys on Yelp, called and the owner Lucas picked up the call, and within the hour Martin was onsite, wow, responsive!!! Martin is a champ, methodically checked outlets and switches, nailed it down to a light switch circuit. He disconnected that bad switch, got the rest of everything working, GREAT response and GREAT problem resolution!!! Martin knew his stuff, we will use these guys and recommend them ongoing... Contacted Fitch electric to install sense energy monitoring system. Lucas gave me a reasonable quote on the installation, Scott was helpful in explaining my setup. Finally, Martin and SanTiego who were the tech that came to my house were exceptional, installed the monitor with ease and answered all my questions. Highly recommend fitch electric for anyone who is looking for electrical services.

Lucas the owner is incredibly responsive and personable - even managed to get back to me in under 5 minutes while shopping at Costco with his 3 young kids! Had a crew out here right away to diagnose and fix our electrical issue. Also had some great advice for installing some heaters on our deck. Highly recommend.

I replaced a switch with a smart switch and some outlets stopped working. It was now too complicated for this novice, so I called Fitch Electric. Got back to me super fast, asked about my availability, and came out the next afternoon. Martin my tech was super friendly, took a look, did some troubleshooting and found the problem pretty quickly. Simple fix for him, but something I never would've figured out. I guess that's why you hire professionals for this! Got me squared away and paying them was super simple, I was able to do it online and took me like 60 seconds. Highly recommend!

Haven't written a review for a while, but had a great experience! Was able to get a quick appointment thanks to Lucas and Josh coordinating the project. The person that came and installed a Tesla Charger, installed a ceiling fan, fixed a wiring issue we had for our patio lights, and fixed a gfci outlet issue we had was Junior! He was very professional and chill, and was great to work with. Also got a followup call with John who answered my question about the amperage of the breaker being installed. All in all a great experience, and I look forward to giving them a call for when I have more electrical work I need done!

I virtually never take the time to write reviews but these guys did a really exceptional job. Right from the intial appointment there were professional, knowledgable and right on time with every aspect of the job and explained every part of getting the generator connected, running and even took time to walk us through how to maintain it going forward. Couldn't have asked for a better company to have gone with. I looked A LOT of options and these guys were top shelf.

My "small job" didn't prevent them from providing me with BIG service. I needed a new outlet installed above water heater in garage, which required a very long cord from breaker box into attic crawl space and across the width of garage. First, I had a tight deadline, and Fitch's owner, Lucas, responded to my desperate call via text while he was driving on vacation in Portland OR. He set up my appointment for the following week, and a young electrician named Cole arrived, on time and ready for the challenge. For his age, he was a good communicator with a professional attitude and a polite demeanor. In less than 2 hours the job was finished. He told me what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. That's good customer service; being up-front and explanatory to the customer. Afterwards, he offered to vacuum the drywall dust and debris from the install. Based on my first experience with this local small business, I have only good things to report about the efficiency and expertise of Fitch electric.

Lucas sent one of his staff members to install a NEMA plug for my electric vehicle. Totally professional and amazing to work with. I highly recommend them for any such work.

I worked with Fitch Electric to install a backup generator that could power our house in the event of a power shutoff (which unfortunately, seems to be our reality these days where I live). Lucas, Josh, and their team were quick to give us a quote, find the generator we wanted, and get to work installing it in a matter of a few weeks. It's a fairly complex setup (as far as I can tell) and they were knowledgable and efficient. Though I hope we won't have to use this generator often, it's a huge source of peace of mind for me, especially as a parent to little ones.

These guys are fast, efficient, smart and honest. And clean! From negotiating a price for my generator install to watching the work get completed just a week later there was not a single wrinkle or unpleasant moment. Would recommend to anyone.

We moved and needed a light fixture installed (in a beam) and wires hidden for several tvs, with receptacles and the whole bit. Lucas as the owner is very responsive, even recommending lower cost DIY options for some of the projects on my list. Martin hooked us up. His work was clean, efficient, and our TV's virtually look like paintings on the wall. This involved running wires behind fireplaces and walls, cutting through ceilings, jobs you can't trust with just anybody. I have already recommended Fitch to family and friends and will use them again when we have more electric projects.

We've had a great experience with Fitch Electric installing a 240V power line at our house. Lucas returned our call promptly and then came out to assess the job the next day. Today, Fitch electrician Martin came out and did the job in one day. He was skilled, professional and friendly. The job was done on-time and on-budget with great attention to detail. Fitch Electric is awesome. I had an issue installing a bathroom fan. Switch kept shorting the circuit and I had to turn the power off on the whole circuit. It was 10pm so that meant our front lights were off too. I put in the request in Yelp and Fitch responded at 10:30pm and said someone could come the next day. An electrician came and fixed the problem in less than an hour and gave me tips for the future. Very seamless, frictionless experience that made the issue less of a headache. I will definitely use Fitch again and recommend anyone to use them as well.

These guys installed a back-up generator and also installed some lights in my garage, along with some electrical odds and ends. I was very pleased with the work and the communication Fitch electric provided. Martin who preformed most of the work was very friendly and efficient working in and out of the house.

Fitch electric has amazing customer service. Pge disconnects power due to safety issues at my house at noon and I have to scramble to find an electrician in an emergency situation. Try finding a reputable tradesman during COVID- everyone is booked weeks out. Luckily I found Fitch electric and Lucas calmly assures me he can take care of me the same day. I share pics of the burnt breaker and he diverts his team from an active job site to pick up the right part (part availability is severely backlogged in COVID), drive over, install it- all within 2 hours. All throughout he is communicating and answering my texts. And price wise? Really reasonable in spite of the emergency that I was in. Great customer service, great empathy.

I wrote Fitch Electric via Yelp to request electrical inspection of an old home. We had our first call the same day and 2 qualified electricians were sent out to my home the following day. The electricians were highly knowledgeable and took time to educate me on the electrical system as they checked under outlets. They were honest and reasonable with their feedback on what needed to be done. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for electrical work.

So grateful for Fitch business. I had a smoke detector issue that became dramatic in a matter of few hours and made the situation miserable. Lucas was kind enough to empathize with me over the phone and more importantly managed to swing by the same day. He took care of the device replacement even though he would only accept more complex projects. I was also very much impressed by his professionalism and commitment.

Absolute great experience working with Fitch Electric on a backup home generator. Out of the half dozen estimates we recieved, Fitch was the most transparent, professional and communicative. What a sigh of relief! Great customer service with a construction company? Such is unheard of! A little back story: I had a few problems in my house since before Covid, and unfortunately the HOA of my community would not take care of them! They would say that "it wasn't covered by the warranty" or "it was done by the previous owner" etc. I am not the most handy or technologically advanced person in this world, so it was time to call an electrician. I searched far and wide for electricians, and the most responsive and professional was fitch electric; it was as if they wanted our business without us being a burden to them. The other electricians I reached out to were either incredibly unresponsive, or incredibly unprofessional.
