The staff are not only incredibly helpful and professional but also so friendly, making the entire planning process a breeze. The property itself is absolutely breathtaking—a perfect blend of natural beauty and refined charm. Whether it’s iconic shots by the pond, meadow, or winery, La Lomita provides a stunning backdrop that isn’t overly rustic. It offers a comfortable and elevated setting with a fantastic indoor option to keep guests cozy and happy, no matter the weather. Its central location in San Luis Obispo is another huge plus! Easy access to the airport, plenty of lodging options, and nearby restaurants make it ideal for couples looking to host a full weekend celebration. For anyone dreaming of an elevated California ranch wedding, La Lomita Ranch is a venue I wholeheartedly recommend. It’s always a joy to work here!

Jaw dropping and perfect I had my wedding here a few weeks back and where to even begin... the site was stunning, the accommodations were jaw dropping and the staff was incredible, especially Karen who was so communicative. La Lomita blew myself, my family and all our guests away. We were treated with such care and got to enjoy the welcoming and naturally beautiful environment for the entire weekend. We could not be happier with our decision to host our wedding there, and I can't wait to stay at the Inn again down the line.

A Magical Wedding Week at La Lomita Ranch! This thank you is a long time coming, but we could not have asked for a more magical venue for our wedding! La Lomita was the second property we visited when exploring wedding venues, and once we arrived for our first visit, we immediately knew this was where we wanted to get married. La Lomita is such a special place that offers an intimate, family-oriented, and stunningly beautiful experience for weddings. One of our top priorities for our wedding was finding a venue where our immediate family could stay comfortably for all the events of our Indian wedding. Our family of about 20 enjoyed five unforgettable days on the property, feeling completely at ease and at home, thanks to Karen and the La Lomita staff. They were incredibly gracious hosts, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. From accommodating breakfast times to fit our schedule to meticulously walking us through the wedding itinerary, every detail was thoughtfully handled, making our experience truly seamless. On the day of our larger wedding events, our guests loved the unique beauty and intimacy of the property. Karen and her team were always present and organized. They attended to the smallest details and helped in coordinating with our vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly. La Lomita was not just a venue; it was an experience that left a lasting impression on us and our guests. It was a dream come true and something we’ll always look back on with the fondest memories. We are forever grateful for the magic that La Lomita brought to our special day and can’t recommend it enough!

Best Venue Ever! If you’re looking for a venue in SLO, La Lomita is as incredible as it gets. Our family stayed for 4 nights during our wedding weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Karen and her team made the entire lead up to the wedding so seamless and easy and when we got to La Lomita, we were greeted by Darlene who helped us unload our bags on the golf cart. Breakfast every morning was delicious and so cozy. The staff really makes you feel at home! Our entire family could’ve stayed for weeks roaming the property and admiring the animals on site. The rooms are great and come with comfortable beds, linens and robes. The hacienda was great for us to host small family bbqs on the days leading up to the wedding. The property itself is close to downtown but also feels so secluded. The different gathering areas make it so easy to go from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to dancing etc. Our guests loved the property and had such amazing things to say. La Lomita is an absolute dream!

Incredible Wedding Venue with Accomodations La Lomita Ranch was a unique and versatile venue for our SLO wedding - We enjoyed being able to have our entire wedding in one place, but have each element of the day feel different and utilize the beauty they've created on the ranch in these different areas. When we first visited, I feel in love with an area of the venue they hadn't built out yet but they said they would make it happen in time for mine, and wow was it a dream! I loved getting married in the Meadow, and by the time our day came, they had even built a stairwell down to the area which was just magical! My favorite part was being able to have our close friends stay on site with us, which made the weekend even more special and allowed us to savor it a bit more as the day goes by so so fast! Karen was such a great partner to us and our planner Janet Tacy throughout the process, working with new vendors and helping us make the venue feel uniquely ours that weekend. While we were on site. Darlene and the whole La Lomita Ranch staff took such great care of us -- we had the absolute best time and our guests were floored by how beautiful it all was - wish we could do it all again! Lastly, the wine, while a bit on the higher price point, was a favorite of our guests and was convenient and seamless if we had run out to get more. Great venue, wonderful staff, beautiful experience - highly recommend!

Venue is amazing Just wow. Karen is seriously so amazing, kind and just SO AWESOME! (Just to add) The venue is absolutely beautiful! From the rooms, to the courtyard, and BARN! They keep up on it oh so well and it shows! I couldn’t have picked a better venue! I can’t wait to stay here (1 year anniversary) which I also love that it’s a bed and breakfast as well! The Most Beautiful Venue! We loved our wedding at La Lomita Ranch. It was beautiful, and Karen and the team at La Lomita were incredible! We had a stress free weekend with all of our friends and families, and received so many compliments on the venue. It felt so special here, totally private and the team did such a great job of making it feel so special. We highly recommend La Lomita Ranch!!!

Beautiful Venue This venue is gorgeous; the staff is friendly and so helpful; and as far as staying there goes it is so peaceful and quiet. Our guests gave us so many compliments about how beautiful the venue is and how nice it was to be there. Karen and Scott were accommodating and very pleasant to work with. The breakfast provided by the ranch each morning of our stay was delicious and had something that each of our guests could enjoy with our various dietary needs. Another plus of the venue is that they offer chairs and tables, a small but ornate bar, heaters, some lounge furniture, and cocktail tables (all items we used). There are also restrooms on site for wedding guests to use which was a major plus as well. The bridal suite was perfect for us to get ready in and the house was a great spot for the groom and groomsmen to hangout in. Overall we loved working with LLR and thoroughly enjoyed not only our wedding there but also our stay.

The most beautiful venue, BUT La Lomita Ranch is an absolutely gorgeous location for your wedding, but I cannot give the venue 5 stars. I was going back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, ultimately I chose 4 stars because the venue is gorgeous and my day was beautiful; however, Karen - the director of Weddings and Events at La Lomita, made my experience less than perfect. Throughout my engagement (a little over a year) Karen was the person I was in direct contact with, and trying to work with her proved difficult. Karen was openly condescending to me, my family, and my wedding planner. She disparaged some of my vendors as "not worthy" of a La Lomita event and scrutinized all vendors she did not recognize (Including my wedding planner). Karen did several things that felt condescending. One example, (there were several) was when she tried to move my rehearsal ceremony around a yoga class that was taking place at 5 pm the day before my wedding. Almost everything else about my planning process was smooth and all my other vendors were so accommodating, it was frustrating and stressful to feel belittled as the bride by my venue's event coordinator, especially given the price of the venue. I would like to end this review by saying that the owners are very nice, the rest of the staff on the Ranch were wonderful, and La Lomita Ranch is even more beautiful in person; but I cannot disregard the treatment I received.
