We booked a 10 day golf trip to St. Andrews, Scotland through Halcyon and I can say without question it could not have gone any better. From the accommodations, to transportation and of course, the golf, everything was top notch, professional, and above all had a personal touch. Lee was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He handled everything including the million questions we had. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, it was that well done. Plus, not that it really mattered, their price for a similar trip was the best of any we compared. Jack and his team delivered on every aspect of our golf trip, even the weather!!! (No promises to future groups though 😂😂😂). We were part of a Northern Scotland trip that mixed old and newer courses. Each one seemed better and better as we went on. Outside of the golf, the lodging was great, the transportation was seamless and always on time and the planned meals at cool restaurants were a nice end to each day. Jack organized games for our group during each round, which made things fun, we had caddies at all the courses to get the true experience of playing in Scotland and he was always around to answer any questions we had. Booked a trip to Scotland (Fife/East Lothian) for a group of 8 guys who had never been before through Halcyon. My son and I just returned from a 7 day trip to Scotland and specifically the St. Andrews area. We worked with Lee Shepherd from Halcyon Golf. Lee was outstanding. Started working with Lee about a year ago. All aspects of the trip were perfect. T times, caddies, courses, drivers were all first rate. We lost our lodging several months before our trip due to a major renovation. Lee came through with very nice alternative lodging that was brand new and in a fantastic location. He was always on top of everything and extremely responsive. After our trip, Lee helped me out with obtaining some souvenirs for me and them mailed them to me. Truly a fantastic service provider.

My brother and I booked our 11 day trip to Ayrshire, Kintyre, and Islay through Halcyon in August 2024 for our trip in July 2025. The initial consultation was very different from other companies, and made it feel like a bespoke experience. Jack and his team did a great job identifying our goals for the trip, and helped set up all of the details to minimize travel time and maximize the golf and Scottish experience. They also were great about understanding our budget and where we were willing to spend more or less during the trip. The communication during the booking process was impeccable, and the itinerary and documents were constantly updated and available in the Trip Plans app. Many companies make you feel like you are getting a prepackaged itinerary, but Halcyon really listened to what we wanted and worked to get us the unbelievable experience that we enjoyed during our time in Scotland. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone considering a UK golf trip, especially a smaller group or someone looking for a more unique and tailor-made experience.

If there was an option to give more than 5 stars I would. We started this process about 18 months ago with Jack at Halcyon to plan a trip of a lifetime to Scotland. The initial conversation over video conference revolved around what courses we wanted to play and a budget we would like to stick to. To say that everything exceeded expectations does not do it justice. From course planning, tee times, transportation, accommodations, dinner plans, things to do on our off/free time, everything was accounted for to the minute detail. Lee at Halcyon was our liaison and went above and beyond our expectations. He was available at any time before our trip to answer questions, change our itinerary, or for anything else we needed months before our trip. While we were in Scotland, Lee was available at all times for any questions we had, help we needed, and even checked in a few times to see how things were going and if we needed anything via text and email. Our transportation guys were absolutely phenomenal as well, Fraser did an amazing job. Colin, I hope you see this, you are the absolute best. Colin provided everything and anything we needed, most of the time before we even had to ask. We were able to play 36 at Muirfield with the cavalry lunch, Royal Troon, Turnberry Alisa, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns, and were even lucky enough to win the ballot to get onto the Old Course which Halcyon put in for us. The dinner recommendations and reservations were top notch as were the ideas for things to do on our off time. Our accommodations were absolutely amazing even on our budget. All of our group would like to extend a huge thank you for all of your work to make this literally a trip of a lifetime. If you plan on doing any traveling in the UK for golf or anywhere else for that matter you need to use Halcyon, in our opinion they are the absolute best!!!

What a great trip, gentlemen! Thank you for organizing! Corballis was a perfect course off the plane, Jameson was really nice with Irish winds of 70kph and a great caddie who is a groundskeeper. Sunday we had wind and rain to start but ended with clear skies and no wind. We enjoyed a Guinness and sandwich in the clubhouse after the round. Dave was fantastic and super personable. They customized our itinerary for our small group of 3 to hit the best spots, they got us an excellent driver (request Robbie if you can), and the logistics were all seamless. A truly special experience from beginning to end: the wild daises at Brora, the endless views at Royal Dornoch, walking the fairways with Jack and his partner Vickie, the beautiful old locker room at Western Gailes and the lighthouse at Turnberry. We have been on hundreds organized trips over the last 10 years, some with hosts and some with host access. In June we did a 10 day golf trip to Ireland with Jack. When I was telling my other golf friends who have done a trip like this and Scotland they asked which hotels (plural) are you staying at? I looked confused and just said the hotel (singular) we stayed at. So to my point on what made this the best trip and experience ever….. - Upon arrival at the airport the driver was waiting for us with names on a sign to drive us 2 hours to Killarney Plaza Hotel. - We never had to move hotels. Jack had a coach bus pick us up everyday to drive us to the golf courses Killarney, Ballybunion Waterville, Old Head, Tralee. - We had dinners as a group which were reservations made by Jack. - Tee times, the “game” for the week was tracked and scored by Jack. - Bus had snacks, adult beverages, plenty of bottled water. - Jack was with us the entire time. The night before he’d be able to make morning massages for anyone who needed one before another great day of golf. Literally we showed up and golfed. There was zero stress about anything. We had a ride back to the airport in plenty of time to do all the airport stuff. I have and will continue to recommend Jack and Halcyon golf travel. I can’t wait to use the company again and to see Jack again and play golf. This was truly the BEST experience I have ever had on a trip! Until next time!

Visited England for the first time in my life with two of my best friends and had the greatest golf trip ever. We were able to play six rounds of golf spread over a seven day span at arguably six of the best golf courses in England, Royal Birkdale, Royal Lytham, Royal Liverpool, Walton Heath (Old), Sunningdale (Old) and Royal St. George's. Thanks to Halcyon Golf Travel for securing our tee times and awesome hotel accommodations for a ten night stay split between the Malmaison Liverpool and Bloomsbury Hotel in London. The icing on the cake had to be when Jack Sallis joined us for golf on our first round of our trip, played at Royal Birkdale. His golf tips and various golf and non-golf related stories were very helpful and entertaining. We have taken golfing excursions to Scotland and Ireland, but our week in England playing its top courses was equally if not more memorable than any. Halcyon made it an easy, thoughtless trip for us. It was well-organized and perfectly scheduled, the latter something you do not appreciate until, for a couple of many examples, you are driving contra-flow at a time of day that works out so well or able to get a little more sleep one morning after a long day. We even got restaurant recommendations from Jack! I would highly recommend Halcyon for any of your British Isle trips. We plan to start all over again with Scotland in the near future!

As someone who has typically planned trips myself I did question the use of a third party initially but by the end of the trip I am already thinking about my next trip with these guys! Some highlights: - Very clear agendas and transport timing - Transport always on time and were able to pivot if we needed to change plans. Drivers very personable and friendly - Lee was available on what’s app and given most trips to St Andrews involve ballot attempts for the old course he was available at an instant to modify tee times and shift the schedule - Provided access to Rusacks Hotel which had limited availability to the public Lee personally came up from his home in England and spent the night with us in St Andrews and walked the course at Kingsbarns. Very personal touch and not expected. He was very vested in us having a great trip and nothing came off transactional. Between not having to book any tee times myself and having seamless transport using Halcyon was worth it alone. The courses can be far apart and having on time transport was a key benefit I overlooked. Add in the local recommendations on dining, which courses to play, and extensive organization (using gsheets) is what created a special experience. The money spent was more than made up for by the world class experience! Best golf trip of all time.

I’m very glad we chose Halcyon Golf Travel for our trip to Scotland last Autumn. They helped us tick off a load of our bucket list courses and the guys went above and beyond to ensure we all had a great time. Had a brilliant experience with Halcyon Golf Travel back in November. 14 of us had an incredible trip to the less explored West Coast of Portugal. We spent a couple of nights in Lisbon before heading to Praia Del Rey resort, an hour North of Lisbon. Here you are a stone throw away from 4 wonderful golf courses with West Cliffs Golf Club the jewel in the crown. The trip ran very smoothly and was superbly organised by Jack Sallis. We have already booked in for next year and are very much looking forward to our next golfing adventure. The company is very aptly named, and I will always remember our trip as a Halcyon time.
