I got the massage as a gift from a friend and Ian (the owner of NV Massage). I had never had a professional massage before, so I was initially a little skeptical. Ian immediately changed my doubts at the greeting. Ian is a very friendly guy who knows and practices his profession. I had a Lomilomi massage, which is a Hawaiian healing massage and is not only good for the body but also for the soul. Ian really took his time and even after the massage he talked about the treatment and checked on my well-being. To be honest, I felt great, not only physically but also mentally. I can highly recommend Ian and will hopefully treat myself to more massages. Thank you Ian :)

I have had four scar tissue massage treatments from Ian Chua, of NV Massage, for three large scars on my foot, following ankle fusion and joint repair surgery 7 months prior. The treatments made a very significant improvement in the appearance of the scars, they became smoother, flatter, less red and lumpy. I have also had a reduction in nerve pain and other foot pain following the treatments, and less numbness. Even more important to me, I now have increased mobility and comfort in my foot, as the scar tissue is no longer restricting movement and flexibility. This has improved my gait and balance. In my opinion, Ian is a skilled and caring practitioner, who takes a holistic approach to his practice. I am very grateful for the help he has given me. I only wish I had known about his practice earlier, so I could have begun treatment sooner after the surgery.

The service I exclaim about to most people is the scar tissue release technique that Ian has added to his skills and services. Ian treated my appendectomy scars two years ago: the first treatment significantly reduced the frequency of spasms from a nerve encapsulated in the scar (from 3-4 times a day to twice a week) and the second treatment eliminated the spasms altogether. Ian started treating my caesarean scar last week at 6 weeks post-partum. One treatment has already helped with physical and emotional sensations elicited when the scar is touched.
